عطری است که عنصر اصلی و بنیادین اون گیاه لاواندر هست. شروع عطر با بوی تیپیک گیاه اسطوخودوس (یا همان لاوندر) شروع میشه. این رایحه با بوی شیرینی همراه هست. البته بوی شیرینی اش نسبتا ملایمه و غلیظ نیست. بعد از یک ساعت این بوی شیرینی از بین میره و عطر بوی گیاهی بیشتری بخودش میگیره. در این مرحله سان شاین از شیرینی به سمت تلخی حرکت میکنه. به طوری که بعد از یک ساعت اصلا شیرینی از عطر حس نخواهید کرد. قبلا در یکی از نقدهایی که از یکی از عطرهای این برند داشتم؛ به این نکته اشاره کردم که کمپانی های بزرگ جهان؛ در رنج محصولاتی که تولید میکنند؛ یک نوع شباهتی رو سعی میکنن که در تمام محصولاتشون در نظر بگیرن؛ بصورتی که در عین متفاوت بودن محصولاتشون از یکدیگر؛ یک رد پای خیلی خاص رو هم در نظر میگیرن که متعلق به محصولاتشون باشه. به عنوان مثال؛ کمپانی بی ام دبلیو رو در نظر بگیرین؛ این شرکت با وجود محصولات متنوعی که تولید میکنه؛ ولی شما با دیدن اتومبیلی که متعلق به این شرکت هست؛ بدون توجه به آرم اون میتونین حدس بزنین که این اتومبیل از برند بی ام دبلیو هست. در اینجا هم وضعیت به همین ترتیبه. این برند که از برندهای مشهور عطر هست؛ یک رد پای ظریفی رو در بین بعضی از محصولاتش داره. به عنوان مثال در همین عطر؛ بعد از حدود یک ساعت بوی عطر تا حد زیادی شبیه به عطر دیگه ای از همین برند یعنی براکن میشه. همونطور گیاهی؛ تلخ و نئو فوژه مانند. البته در عطر سان شاین؛ اون صلابتی رو که در یک عطر فوژه حس میکنین وجود نداره؛ ولی رایحه ی کلی عطر بسیار شبیه به براکن هست. این شباهت از حدود یک ساعت پس از اسپری کردن بوجود میاد و تا حدود 3 ساعت و نیم بعد از شروع عطر باقی میمونه. بعد از 3 ساعت و نیم؛ عطر یه حالت عودی (ونه دودی) به خودش میگیره. بعد از 7 ساعت از زمان اسپری عطر؛ این بو عوض میشه. خیلی جالبه که دقیقا بوی عودی قبل؛ اینبار میشه بوی دودی (ونه عودی). در این مرحله دیگه عطر حالت شیرینی به هیچ وجه نداره و کمی به تلخی میزنه؛ ولی کماکان رد گیاه لاواندر رو اون پایین میتونین حس کنین Aroma is the main and fundamental element of that lavender plant. The fragrance starts with the typical scent of lavender . This aroma is accompanied by the smell of sweets. Of course, the smell of sweets is not relatively mild and concentrated. After an hour, this sweet smell disappears and the perfume takes on a more herbal scent. At this point, San Shine moves from sweet to bitter. So that after an hour you will not feel the sweetness of the perfume at all. Previously in one of the reviews I had of one of the perfumes of this brand; I mentioned that the world's largest companies; In the range of products they produce; They try to have one kind of resemblance in all their products; In such a way that while their products are different from each other; They also consider a very special footprint to belong to their products. for example; Consider the BMW company; Despite the variety of products it produces; But you see the car that belongs to this company; Regardless of its logo, you can guess that this car is from the BMW brand. The situation is the same here. For example, in the same perfume; After about an hour, the smell of the perfume is very similar to another perfume of the same brand, namely Bracken. As well as plant; Bitter and neo-fouger. Of course in Sunshine perfume; There is no strength that you can feel in a Fouger perfume; But the overall scent of the perfume is very similar to Bracken. This resemblance occurs about an hour after spraying and lasts for about 3 and a half hours after the start of the perfume. After 3 and a half hours; The perfume takes on a Oud (not smoky) state. After 7 hours of perfume spray; This smell changes. It is very interesting that it smells exactly like the previous one; This time it smells smoky (not oudy) At this stage, the perfume has no sweetness at all and is a little bitter; But you can still feel the trace of lavender down there

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I don't normally buy Niche...I am into a lot of them but find that they aren't worth the price FOR ME to own. So many are either reformulated and weak, or over priced for what it is or just way to mature than I want to smell at this stage in my life. If I am going to spend over $200 on a fragrance it has to perform well, it has to evolve somewhat, it has to be as natural as possible and I don't want to be the only one around me who enjoys it. Sunshine man fits all those boxes. Im noticing that a lot of Amouage fans who don't like this scent are of a certain age. They can't appreciate this scent because to me this is a Niche Fragrance made specifically for a younger (or young at heart) demographic. I appreciate that Amouage is targeting Millennials with this scent. So much of their frags are on the formal or serious side. It's nice to see Amouage make a more playful versatile scent. But of course it will have it's detractors. U'll hear people who love DHI, Ultra Male, Black Orchid, Sauvage and other sweet frags call this scent too sweet...lol...Taste is a funny thing...Anyway It is a sweet scent but Vanilla and Tonka are my thing and this has both those notes as main players. For those who are curious what this smells like...If u are a fan of vintage candy or are old enough to remember when companies made Candies in the shape of Cigarettes. They came in colorful boxes made to look like Cigarette packs. The Candies were skinny round white sticks with a red dye on the end to represent it being lit. lol...That's exactly what this smells like as its drying down. This fragrance is the Benjamin Button of scents. Ironically when i first smelled this it came across as very mature which i attribute to the very pronounced lavender opening. Within minutes this mature scent transitions to a fun younger playful and fun vibe. If u are a young professional u may find this scent very appealing...If u are an older guy with a youthful spirit or good genes that has preserved you, i'd also consider this scent. Just because ur older doesn't mean u have to smell serious all the time...There's a time and place for everything and I think many men of any age could find a lot of times or places to add a little SUNSHINE in their lives... I fail to see why this scent receives so much negativity. After the first spray I get get an intense wall of lavender and orange, immortelle,and clary sage. After around 5 or 10 minutes the magic begins. Boozy ripe orange envelopes you, which mixes with the juniper,immortelle,and incredibly beautiful vanilla and Tonka bean. These notes seem to change over the course of the day. One minute it's orange and vanilla ,the next a velvety chocolate Tonka, immortelle and orange,the next juniper and vanilla , it is simply incredible and a true showstopper. I get very little lavender after the initial blast , and I do not agree ,to my nose anyway that this is over sweet. Infact I do not find it nearly as sweet as DHI or Valentino Uomo for an example. Now I'm not very good at putting into words what I am feeling, but I can say for sure that whilst I feel that Amouage produce the most spectacular stunning fragrances known to man, I fail to see how this can be surpassed. I think this can be used year round and whilst sometimes it does my head in to see "masterpiece" being banded around so readily, in my opinion this comes very close. This is such a departure from the intrinsic Amouage resinous smoky DNA ,with maybe the exception of Reflection man . Well let me say that although I am not such a spring chicken any more this is a fun gorgeous creation, and I have received more compliments in the first four days of wearing this than any other scent in my lifetime. The one disappointment to this jaw dropping scent ,is that after eleven hours or so of this journey,as the final wisps of vanilla and orange finally disappear, is that I have to wait until the following day before I can restart this beautiful awe inspiring experience once again. I've said it before and I will say it again: I struggle to think of a better recent collaboration in the perfume world than Christopher Chong and Pierre Negrin. These two have given us some of the best perfumes of the century. Sunshine Man starts with an effect of curtains being thrown open to reveal a bright summer sun. It's very bright, it's very hot, it's very big, and it takes you a few seconds to recalibrate your senses and your mind. Lavender and immortelle bring skin-hugging warmth and comfort, orange citrus brings a fresh and invigorating energy, and brandy glues all of these accords together while providing an ample dose of nose-tingling heat. Just like the summer sun, the perfume is going to bear down on you in full, bright, warming glory. Once the sun moves through the sky (the top notes dry down after a couple hours), high-noon brings forth accords of juniper, sage, and bergamot. It's uniquely fun and pleasant to see juniper, sage, and bergamot have such late entries into a perfume since most shove them into the top notes. The heart does not hit you like the opening does, but it still feels very bright and warm, like the sun is no longer in your eyes but has warmed the room around you. As time goes on, tonka and cedar begin to peak their heads out; the sun is fading, and getting cooler and relaxing, letting the warmth of everything around that has absorbed its rays throughout the day do the work for it. The energy and life-force of this perfume is truly wonderous to behold. It is sunshine and warmth and joy in a bottle. Drawbacks or negatives? None that I can tell. The performance is Amouage at its finest, and the materials used are top-tier. I cannot imagine life without this luminous sunshine in it, so it is truly a shame that Amouage has pulled it from our skies.

I used to think "Invasion Barbare | Parfums MDCI" was the benchmark for modern (fougere) lavender - serious, dry, and impeccably tailored. But Sunshine Man quietly outmaneuvered it. I kept the Amouage creature and let the MDCI go. Sunshine Man's opening is an immediate burst of aromatic lavender, sweetened by orange brandy and dry, herbal immortelle. It’s a curious boozy, floral, and slightly candied mix. I see that some have likened it to Pez or candied citrus, but it never veers into syrupy slop territory. Instead, it’s textured... almost grainy, like sun-warmed sand. As it transitions into its heart, the fragrance becomes greener and more aromatic. Juniper berry adds a gin-like freshness, while clary sage and bergamot bring a crisp, herbal lift. This phase is where the backbone structure really shows: the sweetness recedes slightly, and the composition breathes. The late drydown is where Sunshine Man settles into something more grounded. Vanilla and tonka bean lend a creamy softness, while cedarwood anchors the composition with a dry, woody base. The immortelle still persists, maintaining the sun-dried, warm hay-like texture. Performance is solid. On my skin, it lasts 10+ hours with moderate projection. It’s not a room-filler, but it radiates around you. 3 to 6 sprays, depending on your personality... and, if I know that I will spend most of my day outdoors, I am happy to increase the count. Some say it’s not "Amouage enough.” I disagree. Even in 2015, Sunshine Man was proof that the house can extend its footprint into something unexpected... something that doesn’t have to rely on incense, smoke or bombast. Sunshine Man is impressionistic, versatile, textured and it scores high in my book. I'd sample it, while it is still available.

I absolutely LOVE this perfume. I'm not an Aquatics guy in the least, so finding Summer scents aren't the easiest thing. I went to my local discounter looking for a Niche for Spring & Summer & stumbled across this gem. To my nose, it starts off somewhat boozy from the Cognac but not overly. The Orange & Lavender are the big initial players for me, with the Cognac being in the background & truth be told, the Orange sticks around for most of the journey & the Lavender is there for the whole time. Eventually the Immortelle comes in, which is very welcome. It adds a bit of heft as I find the Cognac is all but gone by then, making it a fairly light scent. But the Immortelle adds a smokey-esque note. Darian (The Bowtie Guy) has likened it to baked bread & I not only see that but completely agree. To my nose, this is fairly linear as the Orange & Lavender are around for the whole time, with the backing notes of Cognac & Immortelle swapping with each other. I find the Tonka comes in around the same time as the Immortelle, turning this from a boozy, Orange & Lavender feeling cocktail that you might find in a higher end Parisian patio bar, to a sweet, smooth Orange & Lavender pastry that you could find at a bakery just down the road from that bar. To me, this comes off pretty fun & playful but in a very mature way. I'd never say that this is jeans & t-shirt appropriate, but I feel it's just as fitting for a button up shirt & khakis as it is for a blazer (though probably not quite formal enough for a full suit). If you don't like your traditional Summer fragrances like Aquatics & your standard Citruses, I highly recommend getting a decant of Sunshine Man. This is my first Amouage & I'm hoping Lyric to be my next.

Sunshine Man, the summer heat Sunshine man is truly a fragrance that sends you thinking of the hot, long summer days. I do not understand the discussions of those who say that in fact this perfume would have been summer if it was aquatic, fresh, maybe woody or fruity. No, it's not like that at all, but it's still a perfect summer scent. Probably those who consider it a winter perfume... and are not few at all, never had the chance to walk in July, August on a field of sunflower, wheat or full of lavender or dry grass. Imagine a farm, in the summer somewhere in the middle of a field mowed for some time and warmed by the sun. That's what Sunshine man smells like. Like the hot rays of the sun pouring slowly, slowly over the field and the wind, from time to time raising a cloud of dust. Lavender and immortal flowers give that feeling of dusty ground while orange, brandy, vanilla and tonka warm the atmosphere. A perfume with exceptional performance, typical Amouage with a new presentation, compared to the first launches, I mean here the box that unfolds differently and more suitable in summer and spring maybe even in autumn when it is warmer. Once again Sunshine man is an artistic fragrance, a fragrance that does not transport you to a beach but to the golden fields of Europe during the summer. I was eating dessert at a fine dining middle eastern restaurant last night. It was a semolina cake with salt baked pineapple, ashta (Lebanese Cream) with cardamom ice cream. To me, it immediately reminded me of this fragrance! I said to my friends that the desert we were eating tasted like this fragrance smelt. Then I was sure it was the salt baked pineapple which reminded me so much of this. I had to come back here to check the notes, but no pineapple listed! I definitely get pineapple from this fragrance. It’s aromatic, borderline cloyingly sweet, it smells gourmand like a fruity vanilla semolina cake with spices. I enjoy how it’s aromatic nature stays around for the life of the fragrance. I find it so unique for a men’s fragrance. However it’s definitely unisex! I’m not sure if this is warm weather appropriate due to it’s sweetness. But luckily the aromatic nature of the lavender and juniper berries freshens this up just enough to be wearable in the warmer days of Spring or Autumn. Definitely for the cooler months IMO. Overall a different approach for the house of Amouage. I really enjoy this and think if you like vanilla driven sweet gourmandes that are also spicy and aromatic, then you’ll definitely enjoy this. Performance is also great! With heavy sillage and lasting 6-8 hours on my skin.

I usually don't try a lot of men's fragrances, but as I love Sunshine Woman and the notes for this men's version sounded good, I was happy when I had the opportunity to sample it. And I'm not disappointed! Sunshine Man isn't extremely manly. It's an unisex leaning, rather sweet aromatic scent without the sharp and harsh notes I dislike in many male-marketed fragrances. The sunshine feeling is definitely there. The dry, herbal notes of lavender and clary sage really stand out. Together with the hay-like qualities of tonka and immortelle they remind me of a field in the hot sun. Vanilla makes the base sweet and comforting. The orange brandy note (it's orange brandy, not orange and brandy!) is interesting, it adds a nice fresh citrus twist on top that isn't as predictable as the usual lemon or bergamot. Like the women's version I can see this worn on many occasions, on summer evenings, in autumn and winter, whenever you need a mood lifter. It's really intense and long-lasting, too. I also let my husband try it and liked it even better on him. It just smells more rounded and warm on his skin. If I only smelled this on myself I would find it a tad too aromatic and rate it as a like, but I guess that wouldn't be fair, as it is a scent made for men and I love the way it smells on the right man.

What a fragrance! First of all you guys, it's officially back in stock as per the official website of Amouage with the new packaging. Sunshine man opens up with this fruity boozy orange brandy accord. The orange here is not the bright, summery, citrusy orange that you would find in freshies. It's ripe and has a mature feeling to it. The lavender, clary sage and juniper berries give this fragrance a sight medicinal feeling, contrasted by the sweetness you have from the vanilla and Tonka bean in the base. The vanilla here is cozy, warm and slightly sweet. It will take you on a journey starting from being fruity boozy and Aromatic leading the way to medicinal/bitter quality to all the way down with the sweetness contrast from the vanilla and Tonka bean. Wear it with caution as it has a strong performance and you will be noticed in the first 2 hours. As with most of all Amouage fragrances, it does require a specific mood to wear it. Dress it up on a spring/fall day. You're not running after compliments, but you feel confident with the aura it creates around you. Scent 10/10 Projection/ Sillage 8/10 Longevity 9/10 (Average 10+ hours on skin)

Just got this two days ago as a blind buy, thanks to the abundence of positive reviews and of the brandy note, trying to slide into this house, as this is my first experience with Amouage. To my nose, it’s quite linear. Exceptional scent, though. I do not get the booziness. The scent really sends me thinking about moments underneath the sun rays. The best part about this frag is the performance. First spray ever was on the inside of my elbow at 4 P.M., while working from home. I did not get nose blind from it and kept smelling it without trying. At 11 P.M. my nose got a bit tired. Went outside the room for a few minutes. When I came back into the room, the scent hit me right in the face. It is so powerful. I also own Red Tobacco from Mancera and I can safely say this Amouage beats it performance-wise (maybe except longevity). Just sent that frag to the #2 most potent frag I own. Scent 11/10 Projection 12/10 Sillage 13/10 Longevity ~ 10-12h As a later update : it happened to me so often to fill up my room just by getting the cap off, without spraying. this is unbelievable. will purchase again for sure.

This scent pushed me to add my review. In my opinion this is excellent. Greenish, even quite strongly gourmandish due to that brandy that is accompanied with a hint of a mix of subtle slightly sweet notes. Lovely. Very tasty. After about an hour I get the marriage of a leaning to cloves like wave with vanilla kicking in. To me that is the result of the ingenious blend of the Tonka beans, the lavender, the immortelle, the cedar and the sage. Topped with the Juniper berries, orange and bergamot. I do want this one. I need to watch out with the hotter days. Make no mistake, although the name is “Sunshine” this scent is definitely not suited for hot weather. Well, meaning the way it performs on me. Very good longevity on my skin. The sillage is heavy indeed so I think twice when I put this one on depending on where I am heading to. Super scent. Pleasantly fresh and spicy. The characteristics of the notes and pyramid of the sample as in the review on one hand and the 100 ml UK bottle on the other hand were identical. Cheers Amouage, a big thumbs up.

I ended up finding it on the official amouage website, I really wanted this scent. This is probably the most expensive blind buy I ever decided to get, and I hope I do not regret it. EDIT: Two weeks in, this might have jumped to be one of my fav scents of all time lol even better than reflection imo... Starts off heavy booze, orange and lavender mix... its very nice! Immortelle haters will wanna avoid this as 90% of the first 5 hrs of this scent just is the top notes lol then it cools down to vanilla and tonka... bergamot is like... never there LOL. I think this scent is very unexpected/rare its extremely unique, i went in and i think even tho i described it like that i think it is way more than just describing it that way. It isn't really fougere either as some ppl might be mentioning. and to the guy above me, I was doubting myself, when i did try 1Million it literally smells nothing even CLOSE... Anyways, this is a solid 9/10 for me UPDATE JULY 1st 2026 Since May, it has sadly gone off the site... until the other side, sunshine.

A unique gem in the fragrance world; I wish we got more quality scents like this. Hated it at first sniff - Now it's one of my favorites! It's mature, sophisticated & exciting without being in your face or trailing off to pointlessness in a few hours. Do yourself a favor: Give this a couple wears to get to know it & grab a bottle of Grand Marnier "Cuvée du Centenaire"; It is as if the perfumer intended to recreate sipping a glass of this beauty. An aged blend of fine cognacs & orange liqueurs, it's a tremendous sipper & its similarity to Sunshine Man is incredible. If we found out CdC inspired Sunshine Man, I wouldn't be surprised at all. The sweetness, the spice, etc... It's just dead-on. Whether it's new to you or you're a longtime fan of Sunshine Man, seriously - Try this comparison! You will be blown away. High quality ingredients, well done! I dont have too look at the notes because it's well blended. This is too lovely and smells really an expensive summer perfume. This is a gentlemens perfume not like the brutal Interlude, or loud Sauvage, this is subtle in the air. The aromatic lavender carried by the mandarin which crisps and crackles in the air. It not synthetically sweet which I like. The sweetness here is natural as if you smell riped fruits, there is natural sweetness not like an ethyl maltol BR540, it's naturally sweet herbs.this is like a chypre that doesnt smell dirty or mossy. Its pleasant in the air. The additional immortelle is just an undertone for all the notes. I can imagine a 18+ can wear this. Those classy and elegant can only pull this off. If you are a douchy attention-on-me-guys it will be hard for you to pull this off. Not mass appealing so only the chosen ones can pull this off.

Sunshine Man opens out with strong gin laced juniper and almost camphorous lavender, swiftly vanilla and what I guess may be the orange brandy join the opening, yielding a sort of 'Pour Un Homme' accord, but richer and more saturated with orange and yellow nuances juxtaposed over the green background. As Sunshine moves to the heart tonka floods the scene while the lavender pulls back slightly to a background role. Powdery sour yellow streamers of mimosa writhe undulating around offsetting some of the tonka sweetness while, wisps of ochre tobacco are perceivable every now and again. The dyrdown so far seems a continuation of the heart, albeit with greater focus on the tonka. The juice has extrait levels of concentration and stays in a personal orbit, but has boatloads of silage, and with the dandyish levels of powder and a sort of nuevo-vintage charm this is an uber affable comfort bomb. Big thumbs up!

Take the lavender + immortelle combo from Dior Eau Noire and replace all the other notes and you have Sunshine Man. I get a beautiful orange brandy note that comes off syrupy in the opening. That lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The lavender and immortelle are there 24/7. The lavender here isn't too earthy, comes off very balanced. The star of this fragrance is arguably the immortelle, but I think the lavender and immortelle play an equal role. Vanilla is detectable and it just provides a balanced sweetness, I don't find it to be cloying. Very aromatic fragrance overall. Not blind buy safe lol About if this is still discontinued or not. This does open up with a very powerful herbal opening, bordering on savory which is what makes it a scrubber for so many people - and that’s a shame because as has been mentioned by so many below, it’s only the ivy-covered gate that opens the way to the most lovely sweet lavender garden of stunning beauty and delight. The herbal opening is very reminiscent of Bentley for Men’s herbal/spicy accord, but considerably stronger. Both are quite boozy at he opening, in fact I’d really consider the Bentley to be “Sunshine Light” - only it keeps more of its booziness, especially the intense flanker. The Bentley stays more linear while this one's herbal punch gives way to the smoothest, most natural lavender and vanilla I have in my collection, which are given a lot of dimension and depth by the cedar and citrus. Absolutely magnificent. I really love to put his on in summer evenings.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I'm absolutely going to get another bottle. 1 word i can use to describe this scent.....MASCULINE. If you are a big fan of Creed Viking and it's your signature scent then trust me you can not go wrong with this fragrance. Now DISCLAIMER!!! i'm not saying Creed Viking and Sunshine man smells similar because they don't but its a strong scent that is captivating and a certain man will like. I feel when you walk into a room with this scent it demands attention. If your wondering will women love this fragrance.....it depends i dont think it is a mass appealing scent all women will love but you will definitely have women compliment you and i can tell you when it dries down it will smell sweet. when i first took the cap off the bottle i sniffed the atomizer and i smelled a beautiful sweetness. Whoever gets this bottle next enjoy it.

My god. Where do I start? I’m struggling to think of a better spring/summer/early autumn scent in my collection. This is absolutely stunning. The dry down is pure heaven on my skin. I get a beautiful blend of citrus (orange), wood and herbs. Projection is a good 6-12 feet. Possibly more. I’ve had compliments throughout the day wearing it. Longevity is still there a good 12 hours later, but not as prominent. I couldn’t imagine me wearing this much over winter as I liken it to a warmer weather scent, but I think it could be worn all year round. If you like your brighter citrusy blend of notes, rather than earthy or musky, you won’t be disappointed. Price can put some people off, but look for a tester bottle or a sample first before buying, as I can imagine this won’t suit everyone or their bank balance. I feel knocked out with this today. Thank you, Amouage.

So...I ordered a decant of Sunshine Woman to test. I fell in love with it, was completely mesmerized. I’d never smelled anything like it; a true original. Imagine my dismay when I ordered a full bottle and it smelled NOTHING like it. Returned, ordered another. Same smell. I tried one more time in desperation. Another epic fail. Everyone one smelled like sweaty bandaids with a hint of Oud. Then it dawned on me...maybe the company poured Sunshine Man instead of Sunshine Woman. So I ordered another decant - from the more trusted Scent Split. It came today. And...success! It’s the one! I honestly can’t understand all the raving about Sunshine Woman; this is far and away a superior fragrance. And more feminine-leaning too. I can’t understand why they’re discounting this. It’s lovely. Luckily I found a 200 ml tester. Mystery solved and I’m a happy girl.

One day ill definetely write a real review on this, but for now i just want to comment on the "cloying" claim people are making. Yes, this very easily can 100% become cloying where it smells weird in a bad way, and im saying that as a huge fan. Its all about the sprays, seriously. Just resist your urges and habits to do 4, 5, 6 w.e. sprays of this, ONLY two sprays. If youre wearing it for you yourself to smell it and enjoy, i would even make those 2 sprays on the wrists as opposed to the neck or chest. Just try it, wait a little for it to settle and just let the smell come ro you naturally. The sillage of this is actually incredible, and other people will tell you. I learned this the hard way, i disliked it for a while because i didnt know i was overspraying, but once i dialed it down to 2 sprays the magic became apparent.

Where to begin, Sunshine is what you hope for in the middle of winter. I feel like it was made for a cloudy or rainy day to give you hope. It’s a sophisticated immortelle & lavender fragrance, wrapped around a syrupy/ boozy Orange juice and sweetened with vanilla. The good quality of course. Let’s not forget, it’s Amouage. And when I think of Amouage I think of this fragrance. And a few infamous others cough cough (interlude) I swear there’s a cardamom note there. But it’s not listed. I’ve always gotten compliments with this one. Never needed to mix it with anything else as I usually do with other fragrances. I’ve had my bottle for almost a decade! Because all you need is a couple of sprays. It’s one of my all time favorite scents. Silage.. projection.. scent All 10s across the board.

DAMN I love this, on par with my other favorite from Amouage (gold man). To my nose this becomes creamy, boozy and fresh. I am very thankful that the vanilla in Sunshine Man is not that sweet, it more so makes this very creamy. The orange is also a real MVP, this does give off a "Sunshine" sensation. I will be taking this alongside with me when travelling to Florence next month, ofcourse the heat is inevitable but later at night I could not imagine a better scent than this to wear. It has everything you need for a versatile scent, seductive too. I have never smelt something similar in my life, it does not quite smell like an Amouage either. The booze gives this an immense depth which probably could not be replicated by anything else. Great bottle, great performance, great scent.

Sunshine is comforting, like drinking a warmed, aged brandy on a cool summer’s evening, whilst draped in a heavy cashmere blanket to protect you from the chill. From start to finish, this scent is decadent, smooth and warm- a perfect accompaniment to a casual evening garden party with friends on a bright, cool summer’s evening. The opening stirs your senses with the sharpness of orange and lavender yet the dry down is where the beauty happens. Once the initial hit of fruit and floral dissipates, you’re left with a seriously delicious, soft but cream-thick scent which is beautiful gourmande through and through. It’s boozy, sweet and rich- but more alcoholic-sweet than dessert-sweet. Try before you buy (like with an expensive bottle of brandy) but I’m sure you’ll be impressed.

Great fragrance. This is a smashing release. It sits alongside beach hut and bracken man. Personally, this is the best out of the lot. It starts with the brandy upfront, then the orange really sticks out. The vanilla doesn't make the composition sweet, it rounds the fragrance off and gives it a 'creamy vibe'. The second facet I get is tonka and lavender, ultimately it's an orange, sweet, boozy and vanilla scent. I've smelt eau noire and for me, wasn't a fan. Eau Noire takes the coffee route to my nose, whereas this leans more in the booze and vanilla. This is better personally, projection and longevity has the Amouage quality as well; lasting all day as expected. Not normally a fan of sweet fragrances but this is so great and unique that I would give this a 9/10

Wow. That's the first word that comes to mind. Beautiful fragrance. Inspired by my recent trip to Lake Tahoe, I've been looking for something that smells like the cedar forests around the area with juniper and cedar notes... This one delivers. Strong notes of Cedar, Juniper, Vanilla, Sage and Tonka right off the bat, with the brandy and orange right on the end. Creamy and rich, yet light and airy at the same time. Almost maple syrupy. It really smells absolutely phenomenal. Never in my life have I said "This fragrance is fair at $300" But for this one I might make an exception. It's exactly what I'm looking for. This just might be the greatest fragrance I've ever smelled. This truly is sunshine in a bottle. 9.9/10

Amouage Sunshine Man is a high summer scent but it's also one to counteract the dull winter day blues. Nothing in between. I know everyone got excited about this when it came out, and a lot of people got annoyed because apparently it wasn't in line with Amouage's 'traditions.' And to some extent that's correct. Sunshine Man is really just like Caron's Pour Un Homme, or Kilian's Straight to Heaven, which are both basically boozy lavender-vanilla-tonka scents. However, where Caron is more refined, and Kilian is more avant-garde, this, being Amouage, just has everything turned up to 11! It's really very nice but it only needs a small application or all your neighbours are going to experience it too...

Just got this today and on the hottest day of the year I had to wear it. This I’m sorry smells like something else I’ve come across and did really think much of; but this! I love this I instantly felt that this smelt soo much higher in quality than whatever I think this smells like. There’s a class and maturity in this that separates it from a lot of those ‘summer scents’. Almost like those summer fragrances are made for the booze cruise and nights out on the strip; whereas this is like a late dinner, with private invite only gathering in a cliff top villa The great thing is it’s not a exclusive summer fragrance I would wear this from the first day of spring through to the last day of Autumn. 9/10

Syrupy orange brandy + classic fougère. A very interesting interpretation of a mens' classic scent. Bright, youthful and optimistic, but not naïve. Used by a man of taste and maturity, regardless of whether he is 20 or 80. Very skillful use of vanilla here. It brings an underlying coolness and sweetness without making it a 'vanilla fragrance'. As always with this house, a single spray goes a long way and lasts forever. "Amouage is only expensive once" as per their marketing, and they are not wrong. One bottle goes a very, very long way. If you are interested, get a small decant and wear it regularly. In my opinion, this is full bottle worthy.

Boozy sweet orange scent with hints of flowers, that's so good it just puts a smile on my face. Really lives up to it's name with being a "sunny" fragrance, bottled sun if you will. Smells "yellow" with yellow florals (which appears to be Immortelle), smoky Junipier and some sweetness from Tonka. Great summer scent that is just very different from what's implicated under the definition - nothing smells like it really. Don't go crazy on the sprays too - it's incredibly strong and lasts forever, and will works great in mid-seasons too. My decant just ran out and I'm heartbroken that it's discontinued, so grab one now if you want it.

At first, in the dead of winter, this just smelled like orange bubble gum. Really weird and off-putting. Not something I want to smell like. Then I wore it in the heat of the Texas summer and, my God, how this opens up. The sweetness dies down into this fabulous, boozy, earthy, slightly sweet creation from heaven. I guess it's the juniper berries and sage combo that gives it it's earthiness? Heck of I know. I'm no expert, but I know I like this. And so do people around me. For me, only can be worn in the high summer. My body doesn't give off much heat so I have to rely on the weather to help a fragrance morph and bloom. Que sera.

I would love to see the love/like/dislike ratio of female to male users. I've found that a lot of women love this where as the men dont as much maybe due to the strong immortelle note, which, as a man, im actually a fan of when this fragrance is only lightly applied. This is also quite a sweet fragrance with the vanilla and tonka notes being quite strong in the beginning, but i find it mixes so well with all the other notes giving it this green, sweet floral vide. I would try before you buy but it is an amazing fragrance none the less, and remember to apply lightly, no one wants to be suffocated by cologne anyway :)

Surprise love at first sniff........... I do get the vanilla/lavender combo....but on my skin those notes are not the only ones I am "feeling". The immortelle /brandy is present for sure....adding a nice texture...I also feel slightly herbal notes as well. The citrus seems "dry" to me....maybe due to the sage/juniper/herbal .....Tonka note...IMO....is secondary...but I smell the "woodsy" too. I don't get the name "Sunshine" for this....???....but no matter, I really love this scent. IMO...projection/performance is .....low to medium on my skin......(I expect "more" from with house..and...$$$$.)

That’s to bad... I like the smell of this one... a few sprays before I’m out doing some errands in the summer... and it’s gone about 20 minutes later. I have no idea why most people here claim this is a long lasting fragrance... does no one here sweat? I sweat so a fragrance has to be the real deal to last. Definitely a bummer because I like the orange-y smell of this. Now that it’s the fall here in Canada this lasts a bit longer... I may have to get another sample of this but it is no where near as potent as something like Interlude from these guys. Too bad, this smells cool.

I just tried a sample, so what comes in my mind is Martini Bianco (yes the drink). Then, minutes later it appears more precisely to smell the Martini Bianco that you would have under the sun in some beach bar somewhere in the Mediterranean sea. There is something maybe too medicinal imo to be wearable. This scent is really nicely named. UPDATE : now that it has dried down the tonka beans vanilla and bergamot come to live and it's another story! surprising scent, it's like it's alive! So yes definitely wearable and unique

When I first tried this in Doha airport a few years ago, my immediate reaction was No - I can’t wear this. However, on the flight to Nepal, I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist and started to think wow - this is amazing. Very powerful but quite unique - typical Amouage. Needless to say, on the journey home, I bought a bottle and it is now one of my favourite scents. Quite unique, so definitely a try before you buy, and one you probably wouldn’t wear everyday (quite apart from the fact it is expensive).

The odd 3.6 rating / is odd considering the fantastic reviews on here! Personally I love this & have never smelled anything like it. Sunshine man will last on clothes for days , it’s opening is aromatic and floral , it’s mid is floral - citrus & the dry down is gourmand ! It’s notes are perfectly listed here and true to the nature of the scent. It’s beautiful and could be a Signature scent imo . I think it’s a love or hate ,.... try before you buy , never the less amazing

Man this is AMAZING!!! I purchased this today based on several reviews & all I can say is “wow”! I normally don’t blind buy, especially a niche but I feel as though I struck gold with this purchase! This is so, so beautiful. The quality! This is opulence at it’s best. Amouage knocked it out the park!!! Anyone curious about this I’d definitely recommend getting your nose on this, you won’t regret it. I most definitely will be getting a back up bottle! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 11/10

Creamy lavander with hints of orange. Very unique and lovely,I enjoy it a lot and love it from opening to the end. It is fougere/gourmand. I don't understand why some people don't like this.....it is fit for royalty. This can work all year round even the hot sun if you control sprays(ONE IS ALL YOU NEED) but even in dead winter three blasts are more than enough. Staying power is up there,just as you expect from this house. Amouage scored homerun with this bastard!!

Obviously I’m really enjoying this (I do love Amouage, being one of my most favourite houses). I often prefer the man’s version of Amouage fragrances, as I like to walk the fine line of unisex. The brandy and gourmand notes are not obvious, they just harmonise the entire blend. It’s just really herbaceous on me, with the immortelle, lavender, juniper berries, clary sage and the cedar being all I get. I REALLY like this and as a woman, I’d happily wear this.

Took a few wearings to appreciate this. Opening - Strange but good (dirty orange syrup) Mid - Balances to a warm and uplifting fragrance Drydown - Gets better with every passing hour, a very unique, warm, inviting and alluring fragrance. Semi gourmand territory, comparable to banana nut bread with orange zest. All season fragrance just easy in the heat. I loved this fragrance right out of the chute. It reminded me of Dior Sauvage 2017, the way that fragrance projects the lemony citrus accord with a velvety creaminess. This does it in a brighter, more exotic way with juniper and sage. The fragrance is enriched and rounded out with vanilla and tonka to give it that fullness of feeling, light bright sunshine, perhaps. It's a very cheery scent with good longevity and projection. 9/10 for me.

Opulent in a bottle. I got old version of this beauty. Sunshine Man is almost, dare I say, blind buy worthy. It’s absolutely beautiful! A very sophisticated smell that will set you apart from the crowd. Lasts forever & leaves a beautiful aroma scent trail! Scent: 9.8/10 Silage: 9/10 [ 4+ Feet radius] Longevity: 9/10 [ 6+ Hrs afterwards it becomes skin sent] Bottle: 9.5/10 Price: 8/10 [Worth to pay higher price to enjoy the trail]

One of my favorite perfumes of all time! Luckily I was able to buy another bottle of it before it was ultimately discontinued. In my opinion, this perfume was what defined amourage. This perfume reminds me of summer. It's like walking on the hot sand on the beach while smelling the sea. It also reminds me of the smell of suncream. One of the best perfumes of all time, beautifully blended. It's just perfect!

This is my summer staple, smells amazing received much interest on ocassion to what I am wearing generally all positive. It is strong and nuclear, so two to three sprays is enough. If this is discontinued what a shame , i have Eau Noire and it’s not as great. This will be one of those which people will crave now’s its gone. This is one of those that is an acquired taste but smells great.

Gorgeous fragrance........the immortelle, orange and rum accords stand proud....another top tier Amouage, personally I wouldn't say its blind buy worthy though, for me the name Sunshine man conjours up the expectation of a completely different scent profile to what we get here, however that being said it is gorgeous...maybe more for the summer evenings than the daytime
