Midnight Rose

This is a really nice rose-oud...a common DNA, but this is well done. It feels like there's a bit of patchouli in there, even though it's not listed in the note breakdown. This opens with a dark rose, oud, and labdanum (which combined w/ the oud gives a bit of a leather effect...the iris likely doing this as well). As it develops the litchi comes in and makes this a dark, jammy rose, but the mate grounds it and keeps it from going too sweet. The far dry down is powdery rose-oud. I saw this compared to Delina (a fragrance I'm not a big fan of) and I don't get that similarity at all, not a bit. This reminds me much more of something along the lines of POAL, TF Cafe Rose (the old one, not the new one), or Aerin Evening Rose---I think if you like any of those dark rose-oud-patchoulis you'd like this, which takes that DNA in more a jammy direction. Midnight Rose is a fitting name for this one. Is unisex IMO.

Fruity and powdery with some tiny hint of roses as well somewhere in there, even though it is very difficult for my nose to detect any rose note. It is possible that the rose melts in perfectly with the other ingredients to create a very powdery and not so rosy smell. It definitely smells different from all the perfumes I have tried so far. This is how I want to smell when I get out of the shower to dress for a cup of tea at a nice cefé in the centre of the city where there are a lot of people enjoying their day. The only drawback is that it is a little bit more on the feminine side rather than the masculine. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 7.5/10

Im becoming a fan of Amouroud, Oud Tabac, Miel Sauvage and now Midnight Rose. Midnight rose is a great Oud / Rose fragrance that despite the views here I find completely fine for a man as long as you go light on the sprays. I find 2 sprays is enough and I own very few fragrances where 2 is enough. The lychee note works so well with the jammy rose and the woody dry down, very wearable and very addictive fragrance. If you are someone (man or woman) looking to explore the rose / oud combo this is a very accesable start for sure. Excellent stuff.

Beautifully balanced woody rose. I feel more patchouli rather than oud wood. It’s quite tender with some fruity and musky notes and even some watery (aquatic) undertones. Lovely! Definitely a must-try rose fragrance, quite unique and refreshing. Reminds me a bit of some Ormode Jayne perfume.

Really liked this scent but had to give it away to my Mother in law. I really like the rosey smell it gives off but it's just too feminine. Could be unisex based off of what scents you like but for me it's more so a very sofisticated female scent.

I fell in love at first sniff. Beautiful rose with a bit of spice. Beautifully composed scent that lingers for a long time with good development. Definitely unisex, my husband finished the first bottle so I'm now on the second

I'd like to write my thoughts after testing 9 fragrances from Amouroud house. Their scents have good longevity overall but.. 1. The smell feels very familiar. All of them. In fact they remind me other niche scents. There's no originality or uniqueness. I feel I'm testing very good clones. 2. The bottles feel very sloppy and bad made. No attention to details. It's something that you expect from low range designer brands, from Armaf, DKNY etc.. but not from a luxury brand like Amouroud which retails here 254 usd per 100 ml. 3. There's no oud. Nothing, nada. In any of them. Not even traces. Naming a scent "oud, agarwood" etc without containing oud it's silly and misleading. Overall I'm very pleased from Amouroud house and maybe I'll buy something (my favourites are Oud After Dark and Agarwood Noire) but I feel that I've tested high quality clones. Think Al Rehab with high quality ingredients. This is what I get.

This is a nice fruity and fresh rose based scent suitable for fall/winter, day and night. The fruity note is equall in strenght with rose so it's not for hardcore rose lovers. It leans slightly to feminine scents. Dominant notes is the couple of litchi & rose. There's also intensive lily and pomelo. This is pretty much the Midnight Rose. Not so dark as its title says..it's bright and fresh/fruity. There's no oud in the blend. Performance is good. Sillage/projection are moderate.

It's a delightfully bright and very fruity rose; feels English (Ormonde Jayne) for some reason, yet like it could belong to Viktor & Rolf. I should also note that the name is very misleading, maybe "Sunset" Rose instead of Midnight, as the luminous citrus-fruity facets slowly fade away (but never disappear) to make room for deeper shades. The drydown is much more conventional & powdery like D&G Rose The One, which is still a beauty.

Prominently juicy lychee over a powdery, almost vintage, rose. The dry down smells like the kind of fruity foaming handwash found in the bathroom of that one friend who buys matching linen sets retail and has multiple Le Creuset cookware. There's an odd... stale quality to the drydown that is sometimes a little bothersome to me. Projection is moderate, sillage high-moderate. Longevity is fair at 5-8 hours, activity dependent.

The name of the perfume made me expect something darker, but it's actually a citrusy, tart, fruity rose. The tartiness remains in the drydown, so for me, it never really becomes the "midnight rose" the description suggests. It's a fresh, spicy rose. It's very pleasant, even if not my favorite interpretation of rose, as I'm not a fan of citrus or tropical-leaning scents.

Was really looking forward to this because some of the reviews said that it reminds the of Delina which I love and it’s one of my favs but NO. It’s more of a ambery Rose the name should of tipped me off lol. That’s what it smells like ambery Rose . It’s ok but not to buy a bottle of it . Love the bottle , it’s gorgeous.

@GRAF, You are right, Amouroud copies Tom Ford scents, that's why you find them all so familiar.

Cute and different, smells similar to Delina Exclusif but delina is much smoother while this is fruity and tart.

Surprisingly addictive. My senses tug -of-war or teeter between masculine and feminine. No doubt a beautiful scent. In the end I find it to be leaning feminine or daring for a man. The rose here is a soapy floral and bright one, citrusy sweet and sharp with some sour tart. There's a faint Mate note in the back with Lilly and soft floral Iris. This scent dosen't get very powdery dispite having these notes. Very little Amber and if there's Oud and Labdanum I'm not able to perceive it. This scent stays on the colder side and more airy. However it's no slouch, it has performance. Overall it's a simple but interesting scent. I'd love to wear it but likely as a guilty pleasure type of thing. Now ladies I think this would shine. Very nice scent, it lives up to Amourouds quality and strength. Best for Spring and Fall but fairly versatile. Definitely on the more wearable side as far as Amouroud rose scents go for a man. Sample first still.

This should be called tropical or exotic rose. Smells like a tropical garden with an Arabic twist from the rose oud. Super niche and unique, I am impressed! Juicy tart and tropical. Also green and dewy which I absolutely love. Love the drydown too creamy floral.

I got this recently as my “Valentine’s Day” scent and it’s pretty fabulous. Just a big happy fruity rosy beast. Lingers for ages on my clothes, on me. Great quality. I’m stoked it’s in my collection. Instant mood boost for February.

This is a beautiful deep rose scent. Will appeal to the Middle Eastern market. I love this one...very sophisticated and elegant. Nice when layered with Indian Oud. Bravo Amouroud..I am your new fan! جميلة وجذابة ... لطيفة جدا!

My first impression of this fragrance is that it smells like a satchel of potpourri. I could have sworn this had cinnamon in it based off smell alone. Im not sure this is for me.

mate...I was so surprised! The fragrance is gorgeous. More complex than Montale Night Rose but I recalled that one when trying Amouroud Midnight rose

Its like a liiittle spiciness added to Delina.
