In the height of a very warm NZ summer I am wearing Miel Sauvage this evening. MS has a most beautiful blend of honey, jasmine and sandalwood; none of the notes are particularly dominant, the honey by a nose perhaps, after all this is a honey scent and it IS present but they just hum along nicely together. The incense is strewn very delicately throughout which elevates the potential heaviness of the aforementioned notes and the overall effect is a soft, gentle and inviting perfume which has the sultry kind of sillage that draws people nearer to you to catch another whiff. No this won't clobber you over the head with loud declarations of how sexy it is but rest assured, it absolutely is and also absolutely full bottle worthy in my opinion.

#1039 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I love a good incense scent and this is a very good one. Superior quality (all day longevity and massive sillage). A nice, though fairly common note combination. Incense-based scents often won't work for the office. I think this is one of those. More for date night. And it's reasonably priced. This leans unisex. I think for guys that want this oriental vibe this is fine, but for women I think a better option is Van Cleef and Arpels "Precious Oud." It's priced roughly the same, a bit more floral and bright with tuberose and vetiver. I bought it for a girlfriend and now it's her signature scent.

This one is absolutely "suave" (smooth in Spanish) rather than "Sauvage" (savage in English), It's got that sensual movement of honey and that distinctive sweetness yet not overly done, amazingly well blended with woody and soft a hint of jasmine note to bind the earthy note and sweet note together. Extremely upscale luxurious scent works for either men or women, for more special occasion like wedding, fine dining, cocktail evening, date with your "Amor". It's not a screaming loud type but more elegant yet has the presence and wrap around you in rather intoxicating fragrance for a long time. Absolutely a big "YES!" for me.

Miel Sauvage means Wild Honey, and maybe they meant raw honey.... The term "Sauvage" for me now will always be associated with Dior Sauvage, and naturally, I thought this perfume would be spicy and sweet, masculine, a bit leatherish.... But I was totally mistaken... This is a sweet, warm and cozy perfume with honey as dominant note, and yes, the incense it there too, giving it a bit of mistic sense, combining with sandalwood making this perfume really sophisticated. I can't detect the oud though. Good longevity with moderate silage.

Another great fragrance from Amouroud. If you like fragrances that have some sweetness that puts them firmly in the unisex bracket this could be a great fragrance for you. The honey is there but to me it smells sweet and fruity on the opening and the fruit stays for a long time albeit it does calm down to a fruity/woody fragrance. Easy to wear, almost anytime its a pretty safe blind buy if the fruity sweet and woody dry down appeals.

I think someone came here hating this line for whatever reason or just trolling and gave them the lowest score possible. This line is amazing, I don't like maybe 3 of them but the other ones, including this one, are amazing. This and the other ones I like seem more for women than men but I can see why the unisex label.

I don't notice this scent on me, at all. 😐

This is the softest and weakest Amouroud scent I've experienced. Safe for warm weather as well as any time anywhere due to its limited projection and low-moderate sillage. Longevity is moderate. There is a dominant sweetness but there's no the beautiful aroma of honey. It looks like honey, almost. Also sandalwood and incense feel half, shadows of their true nature and smell. Overall it's a safe and pleasant scent suitable even for office. Just before it dies it feels semi-gourmand and thr "honey" has a watery vibe.

This is such a lovely fragrance! If I sound surprised, it's because I was expecting something much more hefty and 'sauvage' than the comforting, enveloping scent I found here. I've just started trying this line in an effort to come to grips with a mild oud aversion, and I have to say that there were no problems here! There *is* a soft thread of oud running through the fragrance and into the drydown, but it's very gentle and smoldering - really just enough to anchor the scent and give it some persistence. The rest of the fragrance consists of a gorgeously sweet and musky honey. Honey is another note I'm usually wary of, and at this point you may be wondering why I sprayed this fragrance on at all! But I'm so glad I did. Here the honey isn't urinous, as some honeys can be, but just sweet and a perfect complement to the light incense in the drydown. I don't get any red pepper, and the patchouli, if present, is a quiet one. In fact, the whole scent seems a little 'muted' on skin. That's not to say you can't smell it, though. Instead, it becomes a sort of glowing aura around the wearer, giving gentle wafts throughout the wear. It's quiet, but tenacious - I put some on in the late morning and could still smell it, gently humming along, at dinner that evening. This isn't a showstopper, but it's definitely a beautiful scent, best for the enjoyment of the wearer - or anyone they allow to get close.

So I've started blind testing, meaning not even looking at notes before I try to see what comes to mind. I feel looking at the notes will often skew perception. So for this one: A little basic. Fruity floral. Quite sweet and woody, exotic twist maybe osmanthus? After looking at the notes, I'm a little surprised this is a "real honey" fragrance. Nothing honey about it, sweet but none of that real honey / beeswax I'm used to (I must admit a little spoiled on the honey front with Bee and Baruti.) Incense and chili not really present. Amouroud hasn't impressed me as of yet. Not bad but, as far as niche perfumes go, especially honey ones, there are far superior ones to this out there. Slowdive and Zooligist Bee are the ones for true honey, probably due to the heady beeswax notes. Very similar to this is Jimmy Choo Illicit which is also a honey frag, but less genuine honey than the ones with beeswax notes.

With so many things to try and so many bottles I want to buy, I have to be really careful with my sample expense. I've been debating whether to try this one for awhile now, and after extensive research, somebody finally answered me: "The honey is present, but not in the way you would expect. There is a sweetness that doesn’t scream the typical honey smell, in fact, if the name didn’t imply that it was there you would most likely just say that this has a beautiful sweetness to it." I figured as much; it hasn't made a lot of impact to a lot of people. A few have described it as soapy, and based on the collective impression, it'd probably make me say "This is NOT how honey smells!" like the other 80% of the times I was misled...

If you’re going to blind buy this fragrance in the hope of hitting the honey jackpot, please don’t. Please try it first because some of us are not getting the honey note at all. There’s nothing wrong with Miel Sauvage apart from the inappropriate name (in my opinion only). I tried it a few times and really focused on finding the honey note, to no avail. A pretty little oriental fruity fragrance, nothing especially creative or original, and very average longevity. At the price, it’s really best that you try it first, reviews are clearly split on this one.

Miel Sauvage by Amouroud is one of those rare fragrances that feels both warm and fresh at the same time. When I wear it, I get this cozy honey sweetness that’s never cloying, with a subtle spicy edge that keeps things interesting. The projection is just right—not in-your-face but enough to let people around you notice and appreciate it. Longevity surprised me in a good way; it easily lasts 8 hours or more on my skin, fading out smoothly without any harshness. Overall, it’s a comforting, elegant scent that gets noticed in a subtle, classy way.

A niche version of Roberto Cavali Uomo. That's all! However that's not a bad thing. The honey is very present in here. A beautiful scent, but more femenine than masculine.

not a honeybomb scent. For female friends they're all say it's ok but for male friends they love it. I have got compliments from guys a lot when I wearing it.
