Noir Illuminé

OMG! My first fragrance purchase for 2021 had to be this fragrance. I have been on a quest to buy fragrances from all over the world, this one came to mind. It will be part of my perfumes of the world for January. I will update once I receive it.

Cardamom explosion. Really beautiful and complex for the first half of its life but then can become a little overbearing. The trick is to go light.

One of the best long lasting fragrances I own. I get notes of Plum and Jasmine..very well blended. Pricey but different and worth it.

#1047 in my "Tour de Fragrance" First off, the reminds me of section is way off. If you added a little woodiness to Xerjoff "Regio" you'd be in the ballpark but still not that close. A lot of cardamom and plum. Think Tom Ford's "Plum Japonais", a more floral Hugo Boss "Bottled", Bois 1920 "Dolce di Giorno." Not super sweet, but otherwise has all the elements of a gourmand. I'd say if fougeres are your thing, this isn't you thing. If really dark oudiness is your thing, this isn't it either. Floral, but still not absolutely feminine. There was an Armani I tried out at Macy's I think. Actually a girlfriend was trying out. All I really remember was it was "Bleu" something in a blue bottle, so it was probably the "Prive Bleu Lazuli" as it has plum, cardamom, sandalwood. That stuff is $350 a bottle. Armaf has A couple like this too. A women's fragrance "Le Parfait Azure", which smells really cheap and synthetic that I didn't care for, and "Shades" which is fruitier and okay, and suposedly more for men, but I still gave it away. I like fruit in my smoothies, but more as a hint in my fragrances. If you spray conservatively you could get away with this in close spaces. But member "Number68" is not wrong when he says it comes off "Christmas Party." If you added marshmallow and a lactone note it would be something only girls in junior high would wear like PDM "Oriana", Gritti "Gossip Night." Good longevity and sillage and reasonably priced. And it improves through the day. I just don't imagine myself or any guy wearing it on a regular basis. I would probably layer it with a greenie if I wore it at all.

I'm very surprised only women have reviewed so far. I think it's on the masculine side, but definitely unisex for sure. It's deep and dark without being cloying. I bought it for fancy dinners

Blind buy - and to me the ultimate headache in a bottle. Thick, sweet, cloying, very Halfeti! Ooofff no thanks. Something an accountant would wear to the yearly Christmas staff party.
