Lose oneself in a gorgeus blend of dark and light facets of Silver Birch by Amouroud. Heavy, yet fresh Sweet, also bitter Floral, moreover green Scent profile is complex and has a depth. The overall profile is dynamic, what I meant by dynamic is that the scent profile changes depending on the situation/external factors/medium/humidity and etc. When humidity is high, the profile becomes fresh orange + very green fig but more lactonic and has a more recognizable coconut notes. (Figolide 😉) When you're in a cold environment, the profile becomes dark giving way to a beautifully done yet slightly bitter and smoky combination of vetiver and suede. It can even be translated to Leather due to rhe bitterness. Sometimes it's sweet florals, sometimes it's very musky. Sometimes it's a combination of profiles. It has different profile when sprayed on skin vs clothes. Different profile as well when sniffed close vs when on air. It really depends on the circumstances. And that's what I love about this. Longevity and projection are more than above average. I tried to capture every scent profile for every circumstances. I got frustrated since I cannot put it into words. Still, I wanted to share this with you all.

I went into this expecting a freshy and was surprised by the smokiness (I guess coming from the leather or papyrus?). Another reviewer said this reminded them of Cedrat Boise with the lemon/bergamot replaced by fig and while different I can see the comparison.... much better than CB or CBI. Very well blended, I'm sensitive to cardamom (not a huge fan but the wife likes it on me) ... and I can detect it in here but it's not overbearing. The white florals are excellent. This is signature worthy, can be worn on any occasion... good longevity and sillage. I gave it a "love" because of the quality and pleasant scent.... Just not something on my radar right now to buy since I'm currently looking for a high quality long lasting summer fragrance and I would say this is too dark for something like that. Maybe when I'm looking for a new signature scent I'll come back to this sample. Edit: Now that I've kind of re-aligned my expectations of this as more of a leather based fragrance I would say this is probably in the top tier of all leather fragrances. I'll most likely get this at some point because of how wearable and pleasant it is combined with how well it performs. Well done.

It is one of the perfumes that surprises me when I smell it. I finished my 2nd Decant bottle. It's like they combined all my favorite notes and made a perfume. Fig, Jasmine, Vetiver and Leather. It is very similar to Eau de Memo in terms of style. The common point of both perfumes is that it starts fresh and turns to leather, but of course, two different perfumes in terms of notes. The fig and jasmine side takes you to the warm, sunny and blooming spring days. The leather part, which makes itself felt in the background, adds a different mystery to the composition. The leather in this is not a dark, compelling leather like the one in Memo. More likeable leather, like Mancera Saharian Wind. As a result, it can be used in 4 seasons and I think it is a perfume that should be tried, unlike any perfume. If you like Eau de Memo, you will definitely love this one too. Projection is average, longevity is good. It is very similar to Eau de Memo in terms of performance, too.

I'm the happy owner of White Hinoki, the fragrance I absolutely adore. So I went to the store yesterday to pick up a sibling to it. ;) I couldn't find many reviews of the Silver Birch, but luckily I was able to test it at the store. Amazing fragrance! Huge sillage from the very start to the end, which comes not sooner than after at least 10 hrs. I could definitely detect strong suede notes and sort of smokey vibes. It's hard to be indifferent to this scent. Having said that I didn't end up buying it after all. Simply because it's a little bit too masculine for me. But I would definitely want to be around a guy who wears it. :) It says - "I'm strong but mindful and emphatic the same time. Can handle everything and fight every obstacle, but will find time to appreciate a lovely piece of nature just the same." That sort of guy. A masterpiece. Do try it!

Reminds me very much of Amouage Search with fig instead of lime and the smokiness turned down. Fantastic. Really, really easy to wear and performance is great. I was prepared for it to be smoky, but what I wasn't prepared for was the difference in the air to on-skin. If you smell this up close, it is extremely smoky and a touch leathery. In the air, the fig and white florals balance out incredibly well with the smoke ( which I can only assume is the vetiver/papyrus coming together) and leather and it is addictive. This performs well above average, and I can totally see myself wearing this all year.

Amouroud is my equal favourite house along with Nishane. Silver Birch is yet another winner from the brand. It's a fruity, green fragrance that's pretty unique I think from the Papyrus. Anyway, such a wonderfully blended frangrance and like most Amouroud projection and longevity is very good. I own 7 of these now and enjoy them all very much. If you have not treid anything from this house do yourself a favour and sample a few from either the white woods or dark woods collection. Nice bottles as well does not hurt..

This house is very underrated!! I have Lunar Vetiver (amazing Vetiver btw) and just sampled Silver Burch along with Oud Tabac and all such great frags. I’m def going to get a full bottle from discounters and it’s at a pretty solid price. The yummy fig mixed with citrus, florals and some smooth suede. The Vetiver is very mute but will jump out randomly at you. Such a beautiful scent!!

Very impressed with my first purchase from the house. Silver Birch smells exactly like the description to me. Snowy cold woods, with soft warmth. Very vetiver and birch heavy, with some papery floral fruit notes. This one has a personality. Very very good. Quality smells great as well. 8.5 rating. Very good.

This is gorgeous and both deep and sparkling. Amazing! Like all Amourouds i have tried, the opening is just stunning and then it dries down quickly into a deeper scent. Longevity is amazing Love this house more and more!

Green, fresh, slightly smoky, slightly sweet off my skin. The Vetiver in the dry down is lush. Not getting VIW or Wulong Cha vibes. This is its own vibe. For the price it’s on sale at, it’s a no-brainer pick up.

Such an elegant fig scent, which is thick and mature. It is well balanced infusion of fig, cardamom and suede. Projection and performance are very good.

How come Himalayan Woods hasn't been added yet?!

Guy below me is absolutely waffling , no idea what he's talking about. This is my first Amouroud fragrance and I can honestly say I haven't really smelt anything similar to this. It opens up with a nice sweet syrupy fig (but not overly so) and a sort of airy coldness that I can't quite describe. To me , it smells like a cold breeze as youre walking through a forest with some suede in the background. The drydown does lean more into the dark suede and vetiver scent profile but the sweetness from the fig stays present throughout. Good longevity although it sticks close to the skin, not really a beast performer. I was also expecting it to be a freshy but I don't think it fits that category. I do think you can wear this anytime besides very hot summer days. I recommend sampling before you buy because it's a very niche smell in my opinion and it may not smell what you expect it to. 8/10

#1280 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Amouroud is one of my all-time favorites for formulation and performance. This is another great scent with solid performance. Makes a similar impression as one of my top 100 scents, the also nicely figgy Agatho Parfums "195 a.C", but without the incense that I enjoy and the bitterness of the tea that so many find off-putting. Not having the incense makes this scent more versatie, really fine for office, casual and intimate wear, It performs well enough and gets noticed, and costs about $170 less than the Agatho. So far I've tried decants of "Golden Oud Elixir", "Lunar Vetiver", "Miel Sauvage", "Noir Illumine", "Oud du Jour", "Oud Tabac", "Santal Des Indes", "Silver Birch", "Sunset Oud" and "Wet Stone" and purchased full bottles of them all and I'm on the lookout for deals on several more. So with me this house has a helluva batting average.

Silver Birch opens with fig and orange for me, the latter soon fades with the fig joined by a very prominent papyrus note very reminiscent of le labo santal. These notes are the main players for me for the first new hours, the fig eventually fading and the papyrus giving way for a smooth suede and clean vetiver dry down. Longevity on myself is in the 8 to 10 hour ball park. I'd describe this as very modern and office friendly. Unisex for sure, but for me where white hinoki was very slightly feminine unisex, this is probably slightly masculine. If you like modern office friendly fragrances like Grey Vetiver and Le Labo Santal this is in the same scent ball park in terms of type and occasion.

Its nice house. Opening with strong fig sour note with hint of cardamom and citrus. Feel instant tropical vibe. Feel White flowers constantly. Vetiver is just only in base. feel little bit similarities with amouge beach hut. Strong sillage and somehow good longevity. But test before buy.

Cedrat Boise with the citruses in the top replaced by fig. Sweeter and much much better quality ingredients and blend. Cedrat Boise stinks compared to this, like all Marcellas and Mortales do. I don't like CB but this is very nice.

This is another offering I tried from this house and I think I'm done. Fresh masculine smell with okay performance. I also have Himalayan Woods and they both smell very average. Both are unique to me I can't compare them to anything else because they remind me of nothing I've ever smelled. If you want something unique and masculine that doesn't smell like anything else I would pick up at a discounter but they aren't for me.

Unfortunately, all I get from Silver Birch is strong, sharp fig from beginning to end. No cardamom, no white flowers, just overwhelming, powerful fig. Not only does this last for days on end, the tiniest of sprays fills an entire room for hours; it is tenacious! Just not to my personal taste at all.
