Sunset Oud

This stuff is great, my favorite Amouroud so far. It opens wonderfully, with an Oud Wood type feel to it then it transitions to a darker beast with the drydown being incredible. I really do absolutely love this juice. This is a great Myrrh and Amber fragrance, I don't pick up on much oud though it is there from what I can smell but it is less pronounced than the other notes. I can certainly pick up on the Yuzu twist which fades after 30min and in the drydown I can detect the leather accord which is a light airy type (white leather). This is well blended though it may come across a little harsh for some on the opening but overall this is smooth, rich, dark and mysterious. Certainly, people around you will wonder what it is in a good way but as with anything fragrance in this category apply lightly and be confident you want to smell like this. Because if you're not, the fragrance will wear you. This is a fragrance that has truly made we go WOW, that hasn't happened since my bottle of Clive Christian C Woody Leather which was a couple of months back. This is not beast mode and does sit quite close to the skin after one hour but that's a good thing. Performance is good around 7+hrs and I'd imagine the sillage is great. This has jumped up on my list of dark fragrances I love joining perfumes such as Oud Wood, Layton Exculsif, Tauer la desesrt la moracain, Zaharoff, Eau Sauvage Parfum 2012, Epic Man Journey man, Interlude Black Iris etc. 10/10 - Not the most versatile but a fragrance like this isn't designed for that so for the occasion you do wear this, it will hang with the best of them. BRAVO

A beast, No not beast mode just a beast. You have to be confident to pull this off. This is rich, dark and mysterious. Myrrh is one of my favorite Notes so I do love this, can definitely detect the oud, a dash of amber with that signature white leather. It's a good mix, i first tried this 2yrs ago and didn't know the notes and thought the leather smelt far different and lighter than usual leather used perfume. It is mostly in the background along with some Vetiver and tobacco Blossom. The lavender is good as it smooths everything out, without it I think this would be overwhelming. Do i love it? Yes Is it versatile? Not really Would i wear it in public? Depends but yes For a date? NO Business? Depends Weather? Cooler 100% To sum it up I echo what people have said below it's good. It's unique, I don't think I've smelt anything like this. The White Leather & Yuzu definitely contributes to this, a very good combo. I think if they had used usually leather and another citrus this would just be another dark perfume that wouldn't stand out. Thus this is a outstanding perfume. On top of it all, it is well blended with a decent amount of naturals. Oh, and I LOVE the Amouroud bottles, they look niche, are heavy and have great atomizers. I'll give this 9/10 - In it's class this is easily 10/10 but judging all round I'll take a point for versatility. Worth a sniff!

#962 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant. I am a huge fan of myrrh driven fragrances. What separates this from the pack is the bright citrus character of Yuzu. I've only run into this combo a couple of times. I have a bottle of Korloff's "No Ordinary Man" on the shelf which is much more complex with bergamot, anise, violet, pepper, hazelnut, but it doesn't project as well or as long as this. Very masculine and woody. Won't offend anyone. Probably more business wear than date wear for me, and reasonably priced, so I'm in for a bottle.

Oud / incense bomb in the same general ballpark as Amouage Interlude Man, but not quite as potent, smokey, or balsamic. Comes across far drier w/ a slight camphor from the rosemary. Definitely has Middle Eastern bazar / trading post vibes. The oud here is very smooth and not animalic whatsoever....would be a great frag for someone looking to expand their oud collection beyond the safe bets like Tom Ford Oud Wood, etc.

Blind buy (blind brought all my Amouroud). The opening on this is incredible! Doesn't smell like Oud Wood Intense at all so don't know why it's listed. However, I do get an Oud Wood feel to this. Albeit it darker, richer and more complex. This is non linear unlike Oud Wood as well. Will touch base after a few wearings but so far so good. Really nice!! Absolutely blown away......

Just dam amazing, love everything about the scent. Transports you to an exotic place in time.

Reminds me of Dunhill Icon Absolute, which is of course a more polite and softer variation of Tom Ford Oud Wood. I like Sunset Oud more than Icon Absolute - better quality. I mostly get incense/myrrh with some westernized oud lurking in the background. There is some brightness from a citrus-accord (labelled as "yuzu" here) that lightens up the incense-heavy presence a little. Add to that a silky or suede-like character, which I guess is the combination of the "tobacco blossom" and "white leather" notes listed here. This is a scent that grows on you and is only for grown-ups, I believe. There is something understated about this that actually attracts you more and it's the friendlier option to the bombastic and in-your-face Oud Wood. I wouldn't rush to blind buy a bottle but it's worth sampling, as I did.

Haltane without the praline, which is absolutely great. Keeps all the freshness without all the heavy sweetness and gourmand touch. Yuzu adds a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the leather is really strong on my skin. I wish I smelled the yuzu and tobacco blossom, but I don't get any of that. Just a masculine oudy leather that grates at the back of my throat, with some myrrh.

This has to have gone bad on me. I bought it from a reputable source so it's definitely real. Has been kept in my home in the cool. It smelled pretty good to me when I first received it but now it comes off as a dog treat smell. Like "began strips" is what comes to mind. Has anyone else experienced this. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Excellent scent. Oud , Tobacco and Myrrh are dominant here. Which give it a spicy Oud. I do wish they had added Guiacwood, Olibanum and Incense. That would give it a smoky flavor. Overall quite excellent. This scent can be more challenging than YSL M7 Oud Absolu. Do not blind buy this. If you do want a Lighter Oud then the M7 Oud Absolu is your bet. But if you want a deeper Oud then this is great. The Oud is the most dominant. If you want Myrrh as the dominant note then try Guerlain Bois Mysterieux or Jovoy Paris La Liturgie des Heures EDP. opening reminds me of Dunhill absolute icon, dry down reminds me of opening of hindu kush (mancera). it s weird. for me...
