FL/18

I'm not getting leather with this. I mainly get a freshly sweet peach-like scent with dry cedar and birch. It's a very beautiful scent but the cedar and birch tend to overpower the sweetness in the drydown. Later on, they fade away and you're left with a very light musk. Smell: 9 out of 10 Longevity: 5 out of 10 Leans feminine For reference, I'm female.

A friend just passed on a travel size of Byredo’s Black Saffron to me. I spritzed it and found it familiar. Then I realized that it smells very much like something I already own: A.N OTHER FL/2018! AN is a little sweeter, brighter, more rounded out, and complex than BS. BS is a little more leathery. Very similar in the dry down, but I prefer the AN.

This is quite addictive. It starts off quite sweet and almost fresh. Gradually it starts warming up, going quite ambery and musky. The leather comes through after a couple of hours, grounding it out but not in an overpowering way. Overall it’s quite warm and delicious on the skin; there’s a bit of a sexy vibe from the sweetness and musk.

This is a fantastic light leather/amber scent with a bit of sweetness on top. I love it. I have FBs of 4/6 of the house and I could easily just wear these and nothing else forever.

I find this scent very difficult to resist. For me, this is a sweet ambrette. I think the sweetness makes it somehow 'feminine', and the ambrette-aspect is very unisex. A tasteful sweet, not overpowering. The leather is quite toned-down, gives it a bit of a contour around the edges. Very easy to like. Has similarities to Atelier Materi's Bois d'Ambrette, which is in my view more sophisticated, more unisex. Definitely recommended.

More than cotton candy, I feel that FL/18 smells like a fruity bubble gum, specifically Hubba Bubba, maybe the watermelon flavor? It's more sour than cotton candy, so it really smells exactly like the bubble gum to me. I do get leather as well. I didn't super like this fragrance at first, I'm not a fan of overly sour/fruity/leathery scents, but it isn't unpleasant to wear and does last a long time. The similarities to Dedcool's Blonde are not exact, that fragrance is much sweeter with a syrupy violet note. FL/18 is sweet, but the tart note really takes control on my skin. I prefer Blonde as it is sweeter than this, but perhaps this one is more unisex. I do prefer FL/18 to Godolphin, which is another fruity leather that I absolutely cannot stand.

Initially, this is a very heady peppery resinous scent. As it dried down, the candy was more noticable though it made me think of strawberry bubble gum more than cotton candy. An hour after application, it's a very creamy musk, a little jasmine, and still that candy sweetness. I do not get horse tack/ boyfriend's jacket leather and didn't know if I'd recognize the matte. Overall, it makes me think of a circus at night: a little weird and overwhelming, a little sharp, a little sweet.

Opens really strongly with the candy smell, with is joined by leather as it develops. On my skin i dont get much floral, just candy and leather. Lean feminine for my opinion. The performance is really good, applied before going to bed and its still there after waking up. The sillage is also good. Nice take on leather to keep things young and fun, but i find the candy note a little bit too much. Probably my least favourite from all of a.n other offerings - not a fb for me.

It smells of generic perfume. I think it smells like Pink Sugar. BORING.

Tested from sample vial. Wow...this one...surprised me. The odd combo of notes...yet it works somehow...!!!... Yeah, OK, a tad of Pink Sugar in the beginning...but dont forget the mate...labdanum and saffron..and jasmine..they proceed to show-up during the developement...then the Pink Sugar vibe takes the back seat providing just enough sweetness to balance everything out. Love it! Like all of this houses scents...I WISH for better longevity and projection...@#$!. But in all 4 tested...there is quality there.

Love this so much, it's very chic dark and sophisticated without being heavy. Such a classic cool girl scent, very sexy
