FR/18

Love it! On me (female) it's a lush herbal with fruity tones, reminiscent of 1970s Herbal Essence shampoo (the green stuff with the flower-hair lady on the label, for those old enough to remember). Smells like a sunny spring day in a bottle. It packs a punch--two spritzes is almost too much and it lasts almost 24 hours. Very much unisex and hubby likes smelling it on me, though he found it a bit too fruity for his liking when he wore it.

Oh my god, the melons in this one, I just fell in love! Fresh, unisex.. it reminds me of something, from my childhood. I heard someone say herbal essences shampoo; Exactly!!! but more refined smell. Wow! Brings me some nostalgia, I loved that shampoo so much. 9/10

Wear a gin n' tonic while you drink one! Sort of, it does evoke the image of taking a sip of a fine cocktail on a hot day, letting the utter refreshment pour over you. It does give off a candied-watermelon vibe. Great stuff, would repurchase in a heart beat.

This perfume smells just like a glass of gin & tonic enjoyed at the end of a summer day. It has more musculine notes at the opening, but then some light sweet tones start to show - in the end, it's supposed to be unisex. It also lasts quite long.

The lime in this one starts out super zingy - like a lime sweet tart which gives it a fizzy vibe. It then settles down to a delicious adult beverage of gin and tonic. It's beautiful and fun and perfect for a hot day.

It was love at first sniff for me. Fresh, vibrant and aromatic. Definitely unisex. Perfect for summer, easy to wear, the bottle is classy and the top closes with a satisfying click.

My dupe for the discontinued CK One Summer 2014 by Calvin Klein. Lasts slightly longer than my CK. Hits all the notes (ginger, gin, tonic) that I appreciated so much.

smells great, and it is not your typical fresh scent (it's boozy, fruity, but that stage fades fast to give space for the aquatic and ozonic notes😎

Smell like generic male cologne with a hint of melon. This melon accord, which is really realistic, is added really nicely here without being too empowering. I helps soften the tone of the fragrance, which i think otherwise would be just a general mens blue fragrance. I agree with other reviewers here, that this melon accord make this fragrance not masculine in a traditional sense, but still for men. Dont really get the marketed gin and tonic vibes. Also dont worry about that metallic musk note - this one is quite well blended and so it wont bother you at all. This is well made and a nice scent, and for the price it comes in (120 dollar for 100ml) might be worth it if this is something you are looking for. If you are a guy looking for a sort of blue fragrance without being too generic, still masculine but no too much, this could be what you are looking for. Performance is moderate in both longevity and sillage. If you are interested in getting this, i recommend you to purchase the complete sample set from the website first, as they have a promotion that you will get your money spent on the sample set back if you purchase a full bottle from them. While its nicely blended and well made, dont expect it to smell niche.

Really nice, perfectly unisex cologne. It has all the facets of a fresh masculine fragrance without coming across as overly masculine. Opening is cooling, refreshing, fruity melon cocktail plus ocean. Love the grapefruit and ginger. I was worried when I saw that FR/2018 had metallic musk notes, because anything metallic usually turns my stomach, but it's not in your face metallic. Think cool and gently ozonic in the opening, and then the warm metal watchband of a well-groomed man in the drydown. This is gift-worthy, I think a lot of people who live in warmer climates would really enjoy this scent. So glad Fragrantica showcased an article about this house, I was so excited to order the discovery set and can't wait to try the rest :)

I hope to be as cool and crisp as this fragrance is one day.... I don't usually wear ones with notes like these but when i sprayed it in-store i just couldn't resist. the grapefruit and ginger really stick out to me and remind me of a nice iced drink thats full of alcohol lol. a great summer scent!!

In the first blast, I thought it was just a regular, nice, fresh, male scent. But then the melon note shined through, and the scent started to get warmer, more unisex and more interesting. I’d say it’s a decent option for warm and hot days, but not particularly memorable

Cool, crisp and refreshing. The G&T impression is very good. I get lots of zesty freshness in the beginning, with a herbal aromatic flavour coming through over time from the juniper and lavender. Great option for warm weather and definitely unisex.

As others have said, this is perfect and refreshing for a hot day, like an iced gin and tonic. It's the only one from the sample pack I don't have a FB of, yet. And it's only because I don't wear many freshies. All the others have hit the mark.

This just smells like good quality bar of hand soap. Smells fantastic, but that’s really it. I’d think of this as something to get if you just want a dumb reach fresh summer perfume. Can’t really go wrong with it, though not very exciting.

Fizzy bubbly fruity opening, with some prominent ozonic notes. If Wavechild had a big brother this would be it. More mature, less sweet, slightly peppery on the nose

It’s pretty good but not great. This feels like the love child of Acqua di Gio and the first Old Spice flanker you spot on the shelf, done with a bit more finesse.

Intriguing fragrance and not at all what I was expecting based on the reviews below. Definitely on the feminine side of unisex due to it being quite sweet. As a guy this is probably at my personal wearability limit in that regard. On my skin I would say this is about as far from a mens barbershop/cologne type fragrance as you can get. I was hoping the Gin & Tonic notes would really stand out, but they’re actually way in the background. I think some of the sweetness could have been sacrificed to make a sharper more edgy scent. Performance is decent. Really nice minimalist bottle and great satisfying magnetic cap. Looking forward to exploring this house further, and to wear what is obviously a high quality fragrance more once spring and summer return to the Southern Hemisphere. Certainly enough going on with it to keep me interested at this stage👍.

My take: this fragrance smells really good. There’s only one tiny little problem, it’s not very exciting! Which sometimes is fine, ‘cos you don’t want to be the talk of the town all day long. But this one is like really... ordinary? Is that the right word? In Italian would be ‘banale’, popular, not in a good way? Everyone’s reach? But good, non offensive, but ‘banale’. Maybe a little bit better, more interesting on a woman? Not sure... Oh! this wine is really good!! Update 13/08/24 - wearing it on a warm, sunny day, went downstairs for breakfast at the hotel I’m staying in. It’s pretty cool, fresh and fruity with a nice metallic yet soft note, I think I am close to change my mind about this one, definitely more interesting than the first wear.

I agree with mapache's review down below. I was gifted an 8 ml decant and tried it on myself and my boyfriend but we both feel like it smells like a generic men's cologne. I get the gin tonic, the juniper. But after about 15 minutes you're left with an odd metallic musk with some artificial sweetness (the melon?). Oh and the sillage and longevity are quite weak as well.

I have now tried FR/18 in all kinds of weather and during all four seasons. I've tried it when I want to smell clean, when I want to smell sexy and when I want to smell like a corporate machine. I get the tonic water and gin and a bitter citrus that may resemble grapefruit, and definitely the musky metallic described in the brand note. Apart from the metal, these are all notes that I adore. But they are not balanced by anything in FR/18, and the result is a cold and screeching metallic powerhouse that never changes and "never" wears off.

Tonic water and juniper stand out to me, and I always feel like I've been embraced by a man who wears too much cologne whenever I wear this. I'm waiting to find the perfect moment for FR/18. Many scents are great during one time of year or for specific occasions. But in spring, FR/18 is very metallic. In summer, it disappears momentarily. In fall, it's all juniper and almost stuffy. Maybe I'll love this for cold weather?

A light touch is needed with this one. One spray on my sweater is almost overwhelming. It’s pungently fresh and citrusy, with a twist of mint, and the melon adds a slight sweetness. Picture a steamy bathroom after a guy takes a shower, shaves and brushes his teeth. The moist air that lingers with the aroma of all the products mixed times 10. That’s FR/2018 in a nutshell. To be honest this scent is too astringent for me. it’s an assault on the senses, like a vicks vapor rub. I sprayed my sleeve over an hour ago. I’ve just been watching tv and every breath through my nose I smell it and it clears my nose. I think it will do the same for those around you. This review is based off a spray on a cotton sweater, not on skin. This is a rather negative review. However, I do not want to discourage from this perfume house. They really have some gorgeous scents. I’m very impressed with them. Do yourself a favor and get their discovery sampler it’s one of the best I’ve ever gotten. I bought larger sizes of a few of the scents.

Opens with a loud crack of sweet and seltzer water. Like a frosted hard seltzer can with a gracious amount of sweet syrup and and slice of melon wedged onto the rim. Refreshing and sweet and eases into a metallic musk. Id describe it as unisex. It's not sweet enough to smell like a Juicy Courture creation nor does it have the dense cloud of heavy perpetual ambroxan sweet. I'm entertaining the idea of getting a sizeable decant.

I love this. Soft melony ginger that's super easy to wear. It's almost reminiscent of a designer, maybe a touch of invictus or 212 VIP Men Carolina Herrera? The only problem is the performance might be pretty bad. It's soft upon the initial spray and is barely detectable after 1.5-2 hours. My gf loves it but she couldn't smell it on my arm with her nose pressed against it after 2 hours.

Sooo, I’d like to update my previous harsh review from January. I sprayed this last night and was really impressed. It was a completely different perfume, every note came alive. Melon danced with gin and tonic. Juniper stood back, and made eyes with melon. Musk watched the room, while lavender flitted lightly about. Definitely a warm weather beauty. I’m wearing it today.

There's something in here that's very reminiscent of several scents I've come across before, but I'm not entirely sure what note is ruining this for me. However, it's still a pretty generic scent and nothing to write home about. Side notes: I had high hopes for this house after reading some of the reviews, but unfortunately... I've been led astray.

Tested from sample vial. Not my cup of tea.... This on my skin is "typical" "mainstream" men's type cologne.It does not smell bad...just not in my wheelhouse for a fragrance. Goes "barbershop" and after shavey on my skin. I do "get" the tonic water note...and melon/citrus..and lavender/juniper underneath.

Smells like the juiciest, most mouth-watering sweet candy you could imagine without being cloying at all. Sillage and longevity are extreme. Certainly not masculine in a traditional sense but still completely unisex imo. Will make you want to eat yourself. Love it.

A favorite very nice sexy beautiful perfumes! Smells fresh/sexy and beautiful, most compliments and much much better then exempel byredo 10/10 good job!!
