OR/18

A great scent for fall and winter which immediately won me over. OR/2018 shines in colder weather under 18°C, give it some humidity, have your friends come over, go out for a walk, cook something proper, let your family come over. All of these things the whole weekend. Maybe invite someone you hadn‘t had the chance to see for a while, this is what this scent feels like. When it come to the notes in the pyramid I must admit I‘d never thought that this scent would ever get my attention. But there is so much in the combination, there’s so much in there I can relate to. The restrained Orange and Anis give a fresh yet deep opening and lead elegantly to the Mids. A Myrrhe with a dry Tonka and some spicy cedar like notes in the far back. Associations of Coffee with Chocolate and the sweet hint of a Kirsch-Schnaps after cooking together in the dry down. There are some notes for just a few minutes in the dry down evocative of caramelized outer of baked meat (Maillard reaction) with raw chocolate. It’s weird but this is what I get for a few minutes and it’s repeatable. What I also get in the dry down is a soapy green musk note appearing and shining through. OR/2018 changed all of my conceptions of what would appeal to me. It shows what an Amber can be when not using the classic ingredients of an Amber Accord. And it gave me certainty of having found something special that speaks to me. This is one of my Madeleines de Proust. It is complex but rather intuitive than challenging. You could use it as a statement scent. It is signature capable but it’s business and complexity rather make it lend to more casual occasions. I am going to have to agree with others that this is a secret stunner that sneaks up on you until you are madly in love or at least that is what happened to me. If you smell it in the sprayer you just think - "hmmm yes sweet, nothing to see here" and you move along. The skin is where this perfume has to be experienced. First spray is a citrus fresh mandarin sweet infused sugar cube. It is not cooked sugar like candy floss and it is definitely not syrupy. Immediately this calming herbal cloud moves in and this really sets it apart from any other fragrance I have. It's like a day spa scent. It's a modern fragrance. I immediately have calm feelings of well being from this perfume. Not one note takes over and projects - it creates more of a cloud aura vibe around the person wearing it. The fragrances of A.N.Other are all understated in the bottle and really only bloom on the skin. All of the line including OR/18 have this very unique quality of always smelling very interesting to the wearer with little surprises in the journey - with interesting notes and surprises- but none of the fragrances present a challenge to the people in the room around you. They create more of an interesting transparent scent cloud. So yes to office safe. Totally unisex. I think people think that this leans more fem because of that smell of sugar from the nozzle but once sprayed on skin it immediately moves to unisex.

In the bottle & first spray:Juicy peaches in a pine forest filled with incense. 5 minutes: It's interesting that there isn't a chocolate or coffee note, because the brand does say "coffee aromas and edible notes of chocolate and bakery come alive on the skin as the perfume dries" - and it's true. The drier and warmer it gets on the skin the more of that mouth-watering roasted mocha quality comes through. 20 minutes:The wood comes through now, as well as a boozy element. It's as if a lumberjack in the middle of the forest were sipping on coffee with a splash of spiced rum. The powderiness also kicks up a notch here, reminiscent of the faint, piney smell of rosin that ballerina's dip their shoes in before dancing. 40+ minutes: This is where the magic happens - all the scents warmed by the skin blend into one another to make a really cohesive, intimate, spiced, sexy scent. After looking into the ingredients to see if they could help me describe the scent better, I did see that it has Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone in it, which is a powdery violet-like note - and Eugenol, which is a clove-cinnamon-like scent that has autumn vibes. I never get cannabis in this scent, and I don't get the blood orange or star anise. But this is a truly mysterious, sexy, intimate, unisex scent. If I came across someone wearing this in the wild, I'd be immediately intrigued.

So this is quite the perfume! Very unique and nothing I’ve smelled before! Honestly I was afraid to try this one because of the cannabis note and because the description said it had some smokiness in it as well and most of the time that is what I get on my skin. But not this time! On initial spray I got citrus and I was afraid the perfume indeed wasnt for me. It leant slightly masculine. Just as another reviewer, it reminded me of a men’s perfume but I cannot pinpoint which one. But then after a few minutes I got a scent so beautiful, rich and sweet that I couldnt stop smelling my wrists. That is when the whiskey and the vanilla in it kicked in. And this smell stayed the rest of the duration. And what a nice boozy smell it was! Still not very feminine but also not really masculine. Perfectly unisex. I didnt get any cannabis or whatsoever. I read someone else didnt get that note either so if you’re looking for a perfume that smell like that, then this perfume probably isnt for you. Overall I really really adore this perfume. Too bad its totaly sold out where I live... so, if you’re looking to sell your bottle, then please let me know! I really need this gem in my collection

I’ll be honest—I first bought this for my wife because I thought it would smell amazing on her. And it does. But then I tried it on my own skin... and something clicked. OR/18 isn’t just a fragrance I appreciate—it’s one I feel. It’s like it was designed with me in mind. The opening is sweet—but it’s feathered with just enough citrus and wood to soften and round out the entire composition. It stays close to the skin in the best way, like the scent of someone whose presence lingers after they’ve left the room. It quickly melts into soft sandalwood, a whisper of cardamom, and the most beautiful, clean musk. There’s something addictive about how it hugs the skin without shouting. It’s modern, minimal, and elegant without ever feeling cold or sterile. If you love sweetness, sandalwood, and musks that feel more like texture than perfume—this is one you need to experience on skin.

This is a hidden gem that you don’t want to miss, props for the lady at MECCA who introduced me to this and gave me a free sample. Perfect for cool weather and rainy days. Opens with a beautiful lemon note which settles to a gourmandy sugar - very edible yet retains a certain freshness throughout its lifespan . It wafts around you for a solid 8-10 hour!! This sure does lean feminine but I think it’s perfectly unisex, my missus LOVES it on me, and I love it too! I did two sprays on my chest from a decant at around 3pm today and I could still smell it projecting nicely now that it’s 1am as I’m typing this. It’s a BEASTMODE people! This gem of a fragrance would no doubt be in my top 10 of all time, fingers crossed they would never reformulate it - it’s one hell of a juice.

Why is there not more people raving about this magic?! It’s the ultimate cool girl/boy frag. It’s amazingly comforting, like a big warm hug. Projects moderately and lasts about 4-5 hours on me with 2 sprays. Lasts considerably longer on clothing. This fragrance is shared between myself and my partner so is definitely a unisex scent. Not sure why people have labelled it as female only! It’s the epitome of a ‘Melbourne’ cool girl/guy that has effortless confidence & charisma. I guarantee you’ll be asked what you’re wearing! The price point is great for how beautifully this is constructed. I’d pay Le Labo prices for this every day of the week! My tip to make it more affordable: buy it for your partner on their next birthday, then share it. Thank me later.

I tested another scent from the brand, Crushed Velvet, at the same time as OR/18, and preferred the opening of the former. It was sweet and warm and very much my sort of scent. But as other reviewers have said, the magic with OR/18 comes later. Whereas the Crushed Velvet has faded to a (still very pleasant) skin scent that’s like many others, after 30 minutes the OR/18 is an addictive warm spicy complex and interesting scent. I don’t mind the sweet citrus opening, although I’m usually not keen on citrus notes, but once the top notes go, what’s left is still slightly citrus, a bit sweet, a lot warm, musky and woody, although a very mellow wood. It’s beautiful.

I've tried this twice now, the first time I was like hmm its a very nice sweet scent I enjoyed the fact that this is a sweet scent that doesn't have to be backed by a heap of patchouli. Reading reviews saying this was a strong and long lasting scent got me confused because it was not on me the first time I tried, though I think thats because I was already wearing a couple frags that day. Second time round I was like YES I need this, this is gorgeous. Succulent sweet with a herby background that smells very 'niche' Hours later I got the most gorgeous musky smell emanating from my wrist too More people seriously need to try this brand

I don't usually feel the need to review a fragrance. However, with this one, I couldn't help but leave my thoughts. This one is absolutely gorgeous. It's sweet with a freshness and a spicy character that keeps it from becoming cloying. It's unique, warm, comforting and seductive, without being challenging or hard to wear at all. This is the type of scent that invites people around you to come closer. I absolutely adore this one, and I'm surprised that it has flown under the radar in the fragrance community. (Almost kinda glad it has, though, as I'm happy to be smelling unique with this one..)

Only this morning I found this online and was curious to try it. I’ve never heard of this brand before. This afternoon I received an order with a random sample of this inside. Looking at these notes, I was curious but never actually thought I’d like this due to the cannabis note. Unfortunately I love it! This is so fresh. Very unique but in the best way. I can’t even explain what I’m smelling, there’s nothing I can compare this to. It has a slight Chloe Vanilla Planifolia vibe to it, but better. Either way I need it in my collection. Instant love!

This is yummy, my second experience of wearing OR/18 is an improvement upon the first. The Tonka & Myrrh accord that I noticed so strongly the first time is tempered by the citrus notes; I wear Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka and initially found OR/18 too similar. OR/18 is similar also to Carolina Herrera Good Girl, so much so that I would not buy a full sized bottle whilst I have the aforementioned JM & CH fragrances; however I would replace these with OR/18 once each is finished. The sillage is heavy and it’s longevity is very long lasting.

I love this one a lot. And its truely a hidden gem. The vanille in here is really beautiful and the cannabis note gives it really a nice edge to it but its smooth. Its a not a overly too sweet unisex fragrance. It leans a bit more masculine but women can pull it off too in a very sexy way. It reminds me of fahrenheit from dior but way much better done. Its really an amazing well blended scent that really needs more attention in the frag community.

Very cozy but also sexy perfume; I tried a tester in summer and then all I could smell was sugar, but now in autumn it is much more complex: a bit boozy, sweet but not too sweet, spicy, woody, maybe slightly medicinal but in a nice way. I picture me and my s.o. sitting by the fire with a glass of whiskey, waiting for the cake to be ready that is baking in the oven, while still glowing from a cold autumn walk along the beach.

This is blended so beautifully I have a hard time picking out the notes which tend to pop up and change throughout the wearing of this one. I do get blood orange, anise, vanilla, and sugar. I also get something herbal which I suppose is the cannabis note. Sillage is low but longevity is good. This is a really cozy scent and may be my favorite of the sample set.

Very nice and pleasant scent. I think everyone would enjoy this and that its a safe blind-buy. It gives me the feels of when you come out of a nice warm shower and have applied really nice smelling shower gel on yourself but much better quality and scent. Smells like: Fruity, Airy, slightly Musky, Fresh and Clean :) Notes on Fragantica are accurate.

Wow, this is lovely - the best from this house. It’s a really warm, sweet ambery jasmine perfume, with just a hint of a herbal/spicy accord. Sexy and mysterious. Excellent performance - this lasts for so long.

A delicious sugary sweet perfume. OR/18 is not as scary as it looks from the cannabis note. It is present, I can smell it, but it doesn't put me off like cannabis usually does in perfume. It just adds this interesting earthy/herbal underbelly to this otherwise sweet yummy gourmand. I only get the citrus (lemon) notes when I spray on a lot. Otherwise, this is sugar up top and vanilla in the drydown. Sophisticated, though. Don't think Pink Sugar. Or BR540. It's different. Sometimes it kind of reminds me of a popular masculine perfume, but I can't put my finger on which one. I would say the cannabis/herbal accord makes this unique, the gourmand elements you have probably smelled before - but again, they are really well done here, never too much. Lasts forever on my skin as well.

I have to eat my words on this one. I detested it at first and wrote a negative review, but OR/18 is really growing on me. If this is too sweet for you during a warmer period, leave it until colder weather comes along. It's really quite beautiful and no longer too sweet for my liking. Still candy-like and definitely sweet, but, at the moment, in a way that makes me want to lick my wrist.

Vanilla with bloody orange note, coupled with slight cannabis in the background to keep things aromatic and slightly more interesting. Performance is quite good for both silage and longevity. This is a vanilla fragrance which is nicely done, not too gourmand and not too sweet. I am never a fan of vanilla, but this is the one vanilla-centred fragrance im considering getting a fb.

So sweet and delicious, and after drying down (On paper, will have to test on skin to review fully so take with a grain of salt) this is the first time I've smelled a semi prominent cannabis note that is gorgeousssssly blended. It goes so well with this perfume, it's the kick it needs that takes it from safe territory to something much more unique. I really enjoy this so far!

I get no lemon, blood orange or cannabis at all - this is pure syrup on me. It smells like a very sweet, powdery vanilla sauce - sickening. Sugar, vanilla, tonka bean - yes.

Good grief. As someone who lives in Amsterdam, I know this smell very well. On my skin, this is pure weed with a lot of lemon. It's a sweet-and-sour joint, basically, and extremely unpleasant as a perfume (to me). Apparently, there are people who experience this fragrance completely differently, but unfortunately I cannot get past the strong cannabis note here.

I purchased this more than four years ago from Mecca and I can’t believe the price has gone up by AUD 100 since then, absolutely ridiculous, a 93% price increase! Back then, many people complained about the sweet, aniseed-citrusy opening but compared to the overly sweet gourmands flooding the market now, OR/18 feels like the most “vanilla” vanilla scent in 2026. The cannabis note is beautifully blended and the strong woody base gives it impressive longevity and projection. What makes OR/18 special for me is the memory tied to it. I wore this fragrance often during the final months of the COVID lockdown, as I prepared for a major career change, a leap that felt both terrifying and liberating. Each spray reminded me of resilience and new beginnings, like a subtle promise that things were about to get better; it was a symbol of transition and strength. Overall, I’m happy to have it in my collection even though it’s tucked away at the back of my perfume wardrobe. It’s one of those bottles that holds more than fragrance, it holds an important chapter of my life.

Blind bought this and it’s just ok. Not the type of “vanilla” I’d gravitate towards as a gourmand/vanilla lover tho and definitely NOT a safe blind buy. First sniff, I get the zestiness from the citrus’s followed by the spice. The sugar note is quite linear throughout the whole dry down process and the cannabis is evidently there too. Sadly, I detect no jasmine or vanilla on me (perhaps because the other notes are amped to the max and overtake it) which was a downer as I bought this solely to add to my growing vanilla collection. Some perfumes you’d want to smell but wouldn’t want to necessarily smell like and this is one of them. Would much prefer this scent in a candle form. On the other hand, I’d say sillage is an 8/10 and lasts a solid 8 hours on me which is fairly decent. Would I repurchase? Definitely not. But I’ll enjoy it while it lasts and perhaps use it to perfume my sheets and my room. For an aromatic/green/citrusy/spicy vanilla, I’d very much rather my beloved Ani, Vanille Insensee and Eau Duelle.

Tested from sample vial. This one is very very nice. IMO.. Think vibes of Flowerbomb/Black Opium "type" scents....but add some herbal qualities to the mix...Vanilla (creamy type) is very present. Soft woods are apparent too. Cannibus?? Maybe that's the "herbal" vibe..??? Not spicy. Possible full bottle worthy. Need further testing...lol. Projection and sillage....LOW. But there is just "that something" about this one that I am just being drawn to....????

I don’t like this at all the opening is like a punch in the face from the cannabis until it dries down and then it turns into the most sickly vanilla I want to scrub off and this is coming from a gourmand lover,o never smell the other notes listed in the fragrance this can be summed up into two notes top note cannabis bottom note sickly vanilla this perfume is not balanced at all and honestly really odd

Tested from a discovery set. This is lovely, fresh/fruity/tropical on my skin rather than oriental. Immediately reminded me of a mash-up of fragrances, between a Fresh Sugar (or Lemon Sugar) and Jlo Miami Glow. Bright and mood lifting. But if you’re on a budget, perhaps a bit too spendy when it smells very similar to Miami Glow. Definitely worth testing if you like that dna.

My relationship to OR/18: I see it in store, I open it, I sniff it, I like it, I spray it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, ew cannabis I HATE IT, I hate it, I go to the gym, hmmmn I don’t mind it, I come home, I cook dinner, actually I like it, hang on I love it, oops I just bought it. All in one afternoon.

Gorgeous sour opening note reminiscent of Mango Skin that dries down to a soft vanilla ambery goodness! I generally hate citrus and star anise but this perfume does an amazing job at marrying all the notes in a way where I can’t even smell it. This perfume is a hidden gem!

Soft, "fuzzy" kind of a scent. Initial spray reminds me of candy licorice. Those old bottle cap soda candies a bit also. Dries down to be more vanillic. Unfortunately I don't get any of the supposed cannabis whatsoever. Still a nice sweet scent.

This is really good! Its juicy, fresh, aromatic and sweet at the same time!! I can smell all the note, even the cannabis, just a touch ! Good performance! It will be so good in spring!! Excellent blind buy for me!

This is headache inducing sweet and I've smelt a similar scent DNA like this before. The reviews of this house mislead me into purchasing two samples from this house, and both were a complete miss for me.

This doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not exactly good either. It’s sweet, but there’s an underlying sour smell to it that I can’t get past. I’m guessing maybe the cannabis note? Just so so

got this for free with some other samples i ordered and it actually ended up being my favorite of all of them, it's fresh and sweet all at once, very pleasant

has the same burnt sugar note as BR540, and i hate it in both of them. incredibly cloying.
