Very interesting, but not what I expected at all. I'm not getting any cocoa, and definitely no creaminess, so it doesn't seem to match the description. What I am getting though, is dry spicy fruit cake, like a Christmas cake without the marzipan and icing. It's maybe a cake that's gone a bit stale and crumbly, it's got dried fruit and a hint of booze. Behind that there's definitely a green note that I can't quite place - I kind of get what others have said about dandelions. There's a white flower lurking in there too. After a while it gets a little pissy but that's not too prevalent or unpleasant. Projection and longevity not bad. Overall it's quite a puzzling one. I don't dislike it, but it's probably my least favourite from And so far. Interesting, but for me, not a full size purchase.

Syrupy scent with some honey notes. I believe it should transmit the scent of a sponge cake (I can smell the attempt), but unfortunately I mostly plastic-y sweetness with lots if floral notes (slightly indolic) and somewhat imbalanced fruity notes (overriped ones)... Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Something in this perfume smells like dandelion milk to me! Or dying white flowers. I was very confused by it! As other reviews have said, I expected from the notes and description to love it, but I don't get chocolate or caramel or cake. just a sweet green scent. I've had two samples of this now and they both smelt very strange to me. I'm not sure if there are some aroma chemicals here that I can't smell? Some other "cake" perfumes don't smell as they should to me either - Akro Bake which to many smells like a lemon cake, literally smells like Lemsip to me. Same with D&G Devotion - so I'm missing what this is supposed to smell like I think! I'll stick with Far, which is heaven in a bottle!

For me: Almost toothache inducing sweetness - a very fast scrub! Lots of love for this house though! Super strong ethics, and OK, I'm not a fan of this one, or big bitter woodies or patchoulli ('bark' and 'patch', respectively), but the rest of them are REALLY good! The sample set is a brilliant way in too!

There is something ånd add to all of their fragrances that hints at a harsh, chemical ingredient. While the top notes are lovely, there is something underlying that makes me feel quite nauseous. Any lasting sillage smells more akin to dirty upholstery.

This perfume is very strange and not what I expected at all! It kind of has a sickly green milky note to it like others have mentioned. Dandelion milk or like ornamental cabbages there's a very strong green stem scent? I don't know why but to my nose it really does have a pong/urine note almost like clothing that hasn't dried properly. It does have some chemically notes , I get like a burning plastic/ flip-flop sandal smell from it too. Glad I purchased the sample size though I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch!

Imagine cake icing that is devoid of any natural component whatsoever and smells like it is made purely from the lowest grade ingredients, ones that are akin to waste byproducts from an industrial plant, and that’s what this smells like. I tried giving it time to dry down and hopefully change, it got a little better, but still not palatable at all. Others from this line are fantastic. This one is an artistic choice, and I’m sure it will appeal to some but for me, it’s a big no.

If I hadnt read the notes I'd say very dry spicy green amber thats not particularly pleasant to smell. Like its not perfume, its just a smell. I get zero caramel or chocolate. Very odd indeed. Tried to wash it off n am left with a kind of dusty garage smell on my hand.

I have a sample of Cake edp and at first it is very spicy but as it warms up in the skin, it softens and sweetens and I am getting the cocoa and cacao coming through. It now begins to smell more like chocolate cake but in a spicy and more abstract way and is not at all synthetic. The longer it sits upon my skin (which is dry/alkaline), the more I like it and I keep going back to my arm to sniff it! This might sound sacrilegious but I am going to combine it with Montale’s Chocolate Greedy because it will make the Montale more interesting and the Montale will hopefully calm down the spices in the And ‘Cake’ fragrance and round it out slightly. This is my cunning plan and I hope that I shall be inventing my perfect chocolate cake fragrance! I have decided to try the edt version of Cake to see whether it will project better and be less sharp. We shall see! This is a wonderful perfume for the cold weather, I have yet to find out how it performs in milder temperatures. And in the meantime, I would say that this perfume reminds me of a spicier, more interesting version of Joal by Coquillete 🥰.

From the whole set, I expected to love this one the most... instead, I love it the least. If you ever smelled any Lush fragrance, you smelled Cake. This is the dusty DNA that is very present in a many of the other fragrances, just in a more unpleasant version (think Cardamon Coffee or Im Home, but just the drydown and it's really, trully disagreeable). Cake has nothing going for it, it's just dirty slightly spicy woody dust.

I agree with a review below that mentions dandelion milk. There’s a green, sappy and sticky accord. How do you get that from cacao and caramel I wonder? Overall not gourmand or too pleasant to my nose.
