Fig Fiction

The friendly Philosykos: Way less sharp and woodsy. I do prefer its even creamier version though: The Fig Fiction hand cream. It's more milky and well... creamy. Plus the longevity is amazing! Gesturing becomes even more fun for me and I get more confidence. That's a yes. I still think I won't purchase the fragrance... it's a clone and I want to give respect where respect is due. Plus, &OtherStories is fast fashion, I am not supporting that anymore.

This is the most elegant fragrance I ́ve ever smelled. I bought it as soon as I sniffed it, I was determined and didn ́t even ask for the price. It reminds me of a very chic and sophisticated woman who works at (maybe owns) an art gallery or a nordic style store but all really unpretentious. Simple, elegant, fresh, stylish, and unpretentious; that ́s what comes to my mind when I think of Fig Fiction and it is perfect for the day a day. My only complain (I guess something crucial) is that the smell is very weak when you wear it on and that if the smell is there after half an hour you are very lucky. This makes it a very frustrating perfume to me. If they reformulate it to be more powerful and last longer I ́ll be the first to get a new bottle. Otherwise, I don ́t want to drag this agony any further.

This has, I think, been discontinued now, which breaks my heart despite the terrible longevity. To me this is sexy, fresh, balmy, creamy. Summer in a fragrance. I wear it just for me, though, because really after 20 mins it's barely there anymore. I don't understand the Philosykos comparisons - the two smell nothing alike to me.

Probably unpopular opinion but this is (used to be before discontinued) the best fig fragrance out there! Fresh, crisp and happy fig. Fleeting as well but one can expect that from a high street retailer. I never minded reapplying though.

I finally caved in and bought a bottle, not in the least because it was half off, which concerns me - are they discontinuing the Fig Fiction line??? Either way, I'm surprised to see black currant listed in this. It's one of the very few notes I usually cannot stand. I mainly got this because I can't justify dropping € 150+ on Carven's Paris Santorini, another marvelous fig scent. One day though...

This is not a "milky" fig perfume. The fig smells dry, probably because of the woody basenote and the bamboo note. Nevertheless it's a "soft" smelling fragrance, not sharp or scratchy. It also smells slightly green but not too much. The other notes don't stand out that much. Longevity ok, sillage moderate. Like many And Other Stories perfumes, this smells unusual and "edgy", but very appropriate for daytime wearing or going to work.

This is actually a really good fig scent... warm and musky with just a hit of vegetal bitterness to prevent it becoming cloying. The big let down was the non-existent longevity, a familiar problem with this brand. I find it fresher than Philosykos. More invigorating. It has been discontinued (in my country anyway). I still have a couple of scented hand creams left to get my fix but I will miss it.

This perfume is very green to me. It smells very summery and It is perfect for daytime wear. It smells very green at first and dries down to a more musky figgy smell as the day progresses. It almost has a hint of sunscreen smell to it which I love and is very nostalgic. It reminds me of laying in the grass in the summer, very interesting and romantic. Great price too!
