Miami Muse

I didn't expect to like this fragrance so much, but those pink peppercorn notes are just so delicious!

Well, the scents from & other stories are very much overrated. None of them very good, but Miami muse is a bit more tolerable. I think the oil is better, more creamy and caramel nut smelling. Anyhow l bought the edt spray. It's not impressive, but better than the others. It's a sweet cotton candy with guava in the opening. Somewhat musky and sweet, a scent for teenagers. Not keeping this, it smells kinda cheap. If l smell directly on my skin there's a hint of flowers in the mix. I would like some sourness like mandarine or sharp lemon and leather, tobacco to darken this girly mess. Don't buy. Perhaps it's similar to Viktor and Rolf flowerbomb and that Janeiro spray. If you're 16 and into that, go for it

This affordable fragrance is amongst my favourites. The perfumer Jérôme Epinette has created a lot of my favourites, so I was really curious to sniff & other stories fragrances. They additionaly list bergamot, almond and cedar-wood on the website. Miami Muse is incredible, I bought it instantly after testing it. It is a thirst quenching, mouth watering scent. It is characteristic of jumping in the sea in-between sunbathing on a scorching hot day, drinking sparkling water, raspberry picking on a summer’s day. Although I give an image of the seaside, it has nothing to do with marine notes or coconut suntan lotion. It is a sensation when you satisfy your thirst, or when you are able to cool down for a couple minutes during a heatwave. The violet is like putting your nose to an authentic violet flower, not the violet note in lipsticks, it rather resembles my Guerlain Lingerie de Peau powder but with no powder note. The lasting power surprised me, I put it on before I sleep and 8 hours later, the moment I wake up that’s what I’m aware of instantly, Miami Muse.

I am absolutely in love with this. It is not unique by any means, but it is so well done. I have the body mist. This smells like a summery, fruity, cotton candy cocktail but with a lovely background of musk. Think of the musk in a Phlur fragrance with a sweet, juicy, gourmand foreground. Miami Muse is a great elevation of the typical gourmand scent profile.
