Moon Fiction

This is my favourite smelling perfume of all time. It’s fresh but spicy, sweet but not overwhelming. It had nice depth to me and it stays on clothes on sweaters for days/ until i wash it. It isn’t that long lasting on the skin but it’s intimate and friendly.

Obsessed!! Sweet, citrusy and spicy, the ginger is very apparent. This is a sweeter version of Bal d’Afrique by Byredo (same nose behind it!!)

Nose Note #1048 I've had it for a year as a supposed dupe of Gypsy Water which I haven't still had a chance of testing. Well... This was definately nice, fresh, unisex and slightly peppered like indian cuisine, i.e. it had gourmand spices. It had this silght spicy Doritos feeling that Molecule 01 + Iris has for example. Performance is pretty bad, below average. I hadn't formed a connection to this at all. This is slightly in the niche territory and just like everything from Byredo (DNA-wise) it would appeal more to women. 6/10, not bad but meh

Could have been a good Byredoesque dupe if it wasn't so sweet.

I've smelled gypsy water and several other byredo perfumes and to be honest they just smell like lightly fragranced water to me. This is stronger, it smells citrusy and lemony after a few seconds and then dries to a floral and fruity musk, the peach isn't too sweet, it feels toned down. I don't really get the spice, it feels slightly peppery. This reminds me of flower petals that are slightly shrivelled on an old book with dusty pages. It does feel a bit one noted which is why I use it more as a hair perfume layered with other scents.
