Perle de Coco

This is what I imagen Snow white smells like 🍎 Red apple enveloped in creamy vanilla with caramel. Its rather delicious, slightly juvenile & very comforting. To my surprise I really enjoy it. The red apple gives it some crispy freshness in the middle of all the creamy sweetness. The longevity is pretty good & projection moderate. I'm planning on combining the perfume with the perfume oil for hopefully even better longevity. Edit: review above is based on the perfume oil. I now have the EDP also. The EDP is more heavy on the milky caramel & sandalwood. The perfume oil & the edp together is positive on the longevity!

Stopped me in my tracks when I was walking through other stories and I promptly began sniffing everything in the beauty section to locate the source of this soft, delicious scent. On first spray it reminded me of sol de janeiro which I absolutely love! It’s softer, doesn’t have as much alcohol blast as the body spray when you first spray it. Very similar to the perfume but I would say less creamy. I don’t get any coconut in this at all usually don’t do well with coconut scents. I do get the caramel and vanilla. So glad I found this because the SDJ perfume is currently out of stock in the U.K.

Comforting soft sweet scent. I'm not always a fan of sweet caramel fragrances but this is not overly sweet. Smells like a vanilla cupcake. The opening is quite fresh actually and it dries down to a warm sweet scent. Lasts surprisingly long on the skin, at least 3-4 hours.

Varm and sweet caramel vanilla, I don't get any coconut but that could be because i use the perfume oil. Either way a lovely, comforting scent. A crowd pleaser.

TLDR; I'll die on the "Perle de Coco is king" hill. I got the entire line, body wash, scrub, lotion, mist, EdT and perfume oil. This goes hard. I have a complicated relationship with gourmands, I used to find them cloying and nauseating, despite having a huge sweet tooth and a soft spot for vanillas. I’ve tried Perle De Coco in the past but ended up giving it to a friend as it eventually made me nauseous. Lately however, something has changed and this now stands among many other “cheap” gourmands as small guilty pleasures in my collection. This is, plainly put, _nice_. It’s full fat French coconut yoghurt, soft toffee and bourbon vanilla ice cream. There’s a hint of freshness (probably the red apple) and this likely balances things out in lieu of woodsy or smoky notes. It’s not deep, it’s not profound or witchy. This does not smell particularly niche, rare or expensive. It’s just a really nice, perfectly sweet little treat. EDIT; My gourmand infatuation is over and I'm back to finding most sweet scents nauseating, but this one is still nice!

I was deceived by the name and thought this was a coconut scent, yet the mixture of the notes creates this fragrance that is perfect for summer. It takes the creaminess of coconut and combine it with sweet fruits (but not in an overwhelming way that we do not enjoy in the summer.) I can't spot the floral notes, but I believe their purpose is to prevent caramel and vanilla from overpowering, making it a light sugary creamy perfume. I wasn't expecting to like it that much, and I got many compliments after hours of applying (which was a surprise to me as this is just "eau de toilette.") This can be worn in warmer days and not scratch the nose like any other vanilla perfumes. A simple yet fulfilling perfume that is for all seasons (can be layered with other perfumes in winter, creating a bigger projection.) as a vanilla-lover, this was a big hit for me!

The opening of Perle de Coco smells almost identical to Katy Perry's Meow. It's very fruity and overly sweet. No caramel, just diabetic red apples. I only get some of the vanilla, caramel and milky notes in the drydown of this fragrance. The apples are still present, which is something I don't really enjoy. My bottle smells very different to the bottle I sprayed at the store. That smell was just a pure nutty caramel scent, very similar to Sol de Janeiro's Cheirosa 62. It was a delicious, light gourmand scent. I'll let this sit, especially since I've just now received my bottle, but so far I'm very disappointed.

I feel like this is a nice scent but very weak on me. It doesn’t last as long as other perfumes from this collections and the scent profile is just so overdone. I don’t love it and would rather buy a Sol de Janeiro body spray.

I was super excited to receive this bottle in the mail. I adore coconut (even if that is not a listed note, the 'reminds me of' list made me dream of tropical heaven). I own and have used an entire bottle of SOL Cherirosa and several bottle of Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '62 body spray. The Bum Bum cream is an addicting, gourmand smell to me. However all these examples are outside of my budget currently, this was on sale for $19.99 and I thought this may be a replacement for the upcoming, long anticipated summer months. I am not sure if the scent needs to 'settle' after shipping? I tried it immediately and on my skin it smells like plastic-y doll coconut. Why, oh why do most coconut style scents go this way? Is it just my skin chemistry? I bought 'Coconuts' by Sunday Forever and this also turned a strange, doll like plastic smell on me. I did still use it but layered it with coconut body cream from either Trader Joe's or Soap & Glory to alleviate the plastic smell somewhat. If anyone has any recommendations for a sweet, fresh coconut scent please send my way! I will let the bottle settle and try again. Will update if there are any changes. Thank you Fragrantica friends! ***Edit 9.13.23 - After letting this one macerate for several months the 'plastic' smell has greatly decreased. However, the longevity and projection are very minimal, it is one that needs to be over sprayed or layered with Cheirosa 62'.

I have the hair mist of this, and it’s really nice. But when I tell you this is the exact same as Brazilian crush. I got 50ml of Hair mist for £6.00. This scent profile is definitely not my favourite and I felt annoyed by the fact that the Brazilian Crush was at the price it is when it smelt so cheap to me. But this is that same summery coco-y scent but at a price I’m more willing to pay for a splash-on hair mist during super hot weather. I’d recommend this, even more so if this is a scent profile you love, but DEFINITELY don’t get Brazilian crush over this.

Omg, I had completely forgotten this scent! My friend had this as her signature during last year of high school and I loved it so much I got the hand cream from the same line which had a really strong scent actually. I must try it again and see if I love it as much still. Beautiful sexy sweet boozy creamy vanilla is what I remember! I thought it was coconut in it too though!

This is an incredibly sweet, tropical perfume. If you want a coconut scent then this is a 100% safe blind buy in my opinion. Why is coconut not listed though? 😳 I pick up the caramel as well, and it’s definitely lactonic due to the milk note. I like it, but leans a bit too sweet for me. Definitely a summer perfume.

I have cheirosa 62 edp and just blind bought this. I regret a bit :D if I don't spray them at the same time there is literally no difference on my skin. Same nose, same scent, different price point. If all other stories scents are this close to those they're "inspired" by, I have to test more of them.

Caramel & vanilla - completely edible. This is similar to brazilian crush but less rich, more soft like a skinscent. It performs like you're wearing a coconut/vanilla body lotion. Longevity and sillage are poor, I love the smell but need it ten times longer lasting and more intense!

It smells exactly like the well known ( for Danes that is ) "Tyggemåner"! Pleasant, coconutty/caramel/sweet.
