Steel Garden Body Mist

“Petals swept in a silver haze reviling the hint of forever floral” - describes this scent very accurately. Steel Garden is a great name and it’s exactly what it smells like. I adore this scent, it’s perfect for everyday use, there’s something very simple and yet complicated about it that is timeless to me. Fresh crispy apples that grow in this minimalist art gallery style garden on trees made out of metal. The scent is simultaneously fresh, crisp, cold and sweet, like inhaling early morning fog made out of sugar powder. For the longest time I couldn’t separate apples from the whole picture this fragrance painted it was just this magical combination that worked as a whole (as the case with many Other Stories fragrances) - this one is the best scent from their collection in my opinion. Reminds me of late winter near Sloan Square station in London & Saatchi Gallery. This is one of my all time favourite scents, sadly discontinued. I used to mix it with my signature CDG Floriental to the amazing result (doesn’t make much sense tho as these two scents are so opposite of each other) - my fav compliment from the time is “you smell like an angel” - I agree that’s exactly how it smells. I wish I could find something as beautiful as this to replace it when my last bottle is gone.

While seeking out certain "notes" (love that feature here!), my search(es) lead me to this not once...not twice...but three times now. Most currently on my green apple kick, earlier this autumn when the weather turned cooler whilst I was digging up honey scents and also the other day looking into "amber wood" (as opposed to amber ambroxan or just wood notes AKA nimbranol). Now, finally clicking on this I am supremely intrigued by not only the perfume and it's moniker; but the name of the House. It seems only myself and one other Fragrantican WANT this...yet some have already "liked" or "disliked" Steel Garden. It would be really nice if those members could say, even in a sentence or two, exactly WHY!! I love crisp apple scents (of any hue or type) honey makes me happy (taste and smell) and chamomile is so comforting. Resins and balsams make me weak at the knees... Anyone? Anyone? Buhler!
