I love a light perfume that is beast mode and lasts all day. This is my favorite type of scent but it is oddly hard to find. Light scents usually don't last (think Jo Malone), and beast mode scents are usually overpowering (think Bianco Latte and Guidance). I love to overspray and smell the scent on my arm all day long because I, like 90% of the world, work in an office and need to be mindful of my colleagues. Andrea Maack scents are amazing and just that - light beast mode scents you can wear anywhere and will last all day on skin - especially on clothes. In particular, I love Ceramic and Soft Tension. Yes they are soft, inoffensive, clean and musky but they are not like anything I have smelled before, are extremely comforting, and my office absolutely loves them. I smell clean, I feel invigorated and I feel like I smell pretty all day long. Money well spent in my opinion. Ceramic is floral, musky, a bit citrusy and lasts ALL DAY but in a light, close bubble that is perfect for work. I think this is master perfumery, and a nice solid skin scent that WAFTS (I love a perfume that wafts!) every once in a while is exactly what I am looking for. I have three Andrea Maack perfumes and can't wait to get another one.

I was sitting across the table from someone and her fragrance left me tongue tied. I asked her what it was. She sd it was Ceramic from Andrea Maack. This is light and pretty girl clean. This is Janet Jackson any time, any place, any where. This is herbal 🫖 tea calming, oatmeal & camomile. This is non offensive quiet luxury. This is kin to Byredo Blanche and Tocca Giulietta. It smells like it has some iris and violet in there but its Freesia, non indolic white flowers, Lily of the Valley, Musk, and a touch of Amber. This feels like warm pure love. I love giving and receiving compliments. I had this on the other day. A very young (around my son's age) & extremely handsome man with a thick New York accent that I adore says to me, "DATS YOU? YOU smellin' like that?" I shook my head up and down yes with a little smile. He sd, "That's goooood! Its some type of vanilla or something!" I didn't bother to correct him being that he was on the phone. This is so fb worthy.

I am so excited to be one of the first to review. I blind bought this fragrance, which I normally would not do. It smells almost exactly the way I had imagined, inspired by Icelandic white clay. I took a ceramics class in college, if we spent a little extra $$ at the bookstore we could purchase white clay. It smells how I remember it, but with a twist. If someone had never smelled white clay before I could see it smelling like clean laundry fresh out of the dryer. I was worried it would be too floral smelling but it isn’t. The bottle is also to die for, I had picture it resting on it’s side next to the rest of my fragrance collection. If this fragrance doesn’t sound like it’s for you, then I would look into other scents from this house. Each scent is a extremely different and niché I’m sure you will find something full bottle worthy.

perhaps my taste has been changing, because this is a scent profile I would normally call *not my taste*: clean/soapy/fresh laundry/white flowers... Lily of the valley is strong and gives me soapiness and I normally don't like that, but here I really enjoy it. Super well blended, rather present sillage, long lasting, gives me very put together lady in steam ironed white satin shirt at work. I immediately ordered a full bottle which will be my first from the brand, although I am still pondering Solstice, which is an amazing fresh juicy chilled but not sweet and not candied watermelon. I generally am starting to get the appeal of the brand - some scents may be challenging but they are all really, really well made.

Ceramic is such a cosy perfume. It is a very clean scent and yes, it smells like some sort of a detergent but... there's something way more complex in it than just that. The first time I sniffed it I immediately thought "wow, it does smell like ceramic... would smell, if it had any smell at all". Not freshly made ceramic but something that's been finished and displayed for everyone to admire. A lot of Andrea Maack's perfumes are works of art and Ceramic is definitely no exception. This is my go to "before bed" fragrance, I spray my sheets, pillow and night clothes with it and then sleep peacefully and soundly. Protective and cosy, I highly recommend trying it.

Yesterday I smelled and tested the entire Maack line up and Ceramic is the one I bought. This is a beautiful clean fragrance that revolves around musks and feel of ironed clothes, exactly what I was after. It is definitelly office safe and entirely unisex. It is not a blind buy fragrance as musks tend to develop differently on each skin and many larger musk molecules people are asomnic to. Florals are minimal, do not expect flower bouquets as it is categorised with floral accords, those are very in the background. I would say Fresh Musks and Green accord dominate the composition, and Florals are a light touch for the detail.

As a potter, I was definitely influenced to try this based on the name. I usually shy away from white floral notes as they come off too much like baby wipes on me, but this one is special. It really does smell like fresh laundry with a hint of minerality like dry clay, a hint of sweet and definitely powdery but not in an offensive way. It is calming, it is grounding, it's unassuming but somehow special in a world of clean musky scents, I'm excited to wear it each time and I'd be able to pick this one out of a crowd. And although the scent bubble is close, I feel like its performance is above the average for similar scents.

I love this. Im not usually into “clean” scents, but Ceramic is floral, a touch sweet, a little fruity, powdery, and musky and it wafts around me so beautifully. I’ve heard several comparisons to Byredo’s Blanche, but I didn’t like that one at all, it was too sterile, too clean. Ceramic is alive, and while yes, it does smell clean, there’s a lot more nuance to it than Blanche. I bought the discovery set and I already know I’m going to be using my coupon code to purchase Ceramic. It will be my first and probably only clean scent, but its gorgeous and worth it.

i will never forget the love at first sniff moment i had with this one, because it was so clear and vivid, the clean mineral, aldehydic shimmer hit so beautifully. yes it does smell like laundry, but it also smells like something more abstract, alive, and fresh, very in line with the wet clay inspiration. no clean scent has done it for me like this one and its been the signature i've returned to since.

This one is so beautiful to me, subtly powdery and sweet florals encircled in a bed of soft musk. It's gentle and elegant and simple but done so perfectly that, to me, it justifies the price. The powdery has a bit of earthiness to it I adore. Sillage and performance are okay, it's more of a personal scent so don't expect it to scream!

To me this is a beautiful fresh laundry sent, without looking at the notes I would have guessed white musk. It's so cozy and comforting but with a distinct edge of something sharper. The dry down loses some of the floral sweetness that you get in the opening and leaves behind a lived in second skin kind of scent.

I really don't like Byredo Blanche because it smells sterile and overly chemical to me, but I don't think this perfume is similar to it at all. I absolutely love this one: it's soft, silky, delicately cottony, and slightly floral. It's a gorgeous warm scent, not your typical fabric softener fragrance.

get so many compliments when i wear this on my clothes. it just has this beautiful clean mineralic, dimensional feeling that feels so airy and pleasant. it shares a sensation I could describe as similar to the sparkling aliveness of drinking a freshly opened bottle of orange wine in the summer.

Anchoring the folds of clean linen under your chin. The convenience of bagged apple slices as an adult. Freshly washed bangs obstructing your vision. Rain sounds as a salve for restlessness. Reprieve is temporary, but it’s never smelled so good.

I love this! So clean and feminine leaning. Freshly laundered clothes sitting folded in a hamper that’s been sitting for an hour, still warm. You press down on the fabric and this is the smell that envelopes you.

I went to meet someone. She was wearing this and left me in a daze! We were together for hours. She was sitting across the table. I was speechless at times bc of how good she smelled. I need this in my life.

Clean and pleasant scent. I feel like clean clothes. Might smell like laundry detergent at first but I grew into the perfume. A little masculine smell but I think anyone can pull it off:)

This smells like a bathroom tiles in the best way possible. Clean but cold, almost cooling a sensation in a way that isn’t using the typical mint/menthol scent. Just pure crisp air.

this smells like when you're in a public bathroom and for some reason the hand soap smells insanely good and you keep smelling your hands afterwards

So good!!! Bought this scent for my husband and it smells absolutely intoxicating on him. Would recommend for a sweet yet stoic personality.

Love this! Fruity, floral, soapy! Clean and lovely!

To my nose, this was an instant blast from the past. More specifically I was automatically brought back to school when nobody had the budget to afford nice things (esp our moms) but Oriflame had just hit the market in the smaller cities. There is one specific scent that I could detect eeeeverywhere and it was the one of Pur Blanca EDT - I hope my memory doesn't mislead me but on my skin, man, I just can't get this one wrong - it's so vivid. It may be a touch more "sweet/fruity" considering that Ceramic is not super prominent on any of the notes. It's a clean, soft, elegant scent, on me (similar to Pur Blanca) the combination of the fresia with the apple reads as a semi-ripe pear. It's almost entirely linear but the longevity is fantastic - I applied this 9 hours ago and it's still very fresh and I can detect it around me. I'm not sure if I'd personally add another clean-type scent to my collection - for me, 1 or 2 of this category are entirely enough but for fans of this profile, this could be a winner and it will last you a lot as 2-3 sprays are more than enough. .

Pleasant, nondescript, and a bit old-fashioned smelling fragrance. It runs a bit bathroom air freshener on me, but not in an unbearable or animalic way. I think the name is really cute and representative of the perfume. This fragrance is round, white, and smooth like a bowl in the kitchen. I can also picture some kitschy litte figurines in the hutch gathering dust. I have not smelled any Avon perfumes before but this is what I would imagine them to smell like. I don't normally go for scents like this one, but it's really started to grow on me! Funny how my favorite scent of my sample order was one of the free ones I got on promotion and one I never would have tried otherwise. edit---I really enjoy the opening. But... something in the dry down has been bugging me. It turns almost sour, sharp, and hairspray-esque on my skin.

Not sure if the name is fitting, but this is a very sharp, and crisp soap scent. On skin, it smells like straight up soap bar, a fancy one, not drugstore. Very white floral forward and an overall feeling of having really soft, clean skin. I feel like it smells different on fabric and better imo. It still has that soapy touch, but the musk and amber tone down the generic soap smell into something that is creamy and cozier. It lasts all day on clothes and about 5 on skin, not bad, but not beast mode past the first half hour which I felt like it would project a lot more since the opening can be sharp.

I like how clean this is, although I'm disappointed because I was expecting a much stronger floral. I can't pick out any distinctive notes in this fragrance, but overall it smells almost like baby wipes or the lens cleaner wipes for glasses. There is a dry, almost powdery note in this that does remind me of clay, but otherwise it just smells vaguely clean. I like this, but I would not pay $170 for it. A nice freshie that doesn't smell molecular or exactly like laundry detergent, but the price is too steep for me.

smells like fresh laundry. not warm straight out the dryer laundry, think more like a stack of crisp white freshly laundered sheets folded on a windowsill. i can definitely see this disappointing some folks and garnering a lot of "smells like detergent" comments, though to my nose it lacks any of the chemical bite that you get when you take a whiff of actual laundry detergent. I love laundry scents so this is a winner for me, but if you're expecting something more "perfume-y" i'd look elsewhere.

This is the ultimate laundry scent, to be precise, that of dry cleaning, not exactly expensive but uplifting and very reliable in terms of persistence and projection. White flowers take the lead, fortunately tempered by green notes; the fragrance undergoes no evolution, remaining linear from the first spray to the drydown, which, in a clean scent, I find appreciable. Is it an original and revolutionary perfume? No. Is it an excellent variation on the theme? Yes.

So clean and reminds me of fresh laundry or a nice soap that uses the word "glacier" in the scent name. nice daytime everyday scent that is pleasant and totally inoffensive. maybe to the point that it's a little boring. i think the price is insane for what it is bc it lacks depth. i definitely put it into the same category as Jones Road Shower, except only slightly more interesting at triple the cost.

Ceramic is clean and flowery. I get pear instead of apple for some reason. The freesia jumps out at me, then cottony, musky cleanliness. The dry down is light amber, a super clean smell that reminds me of dryer sheets. Intimate sillage, slightly below moderate performance, but not weak necessarily— she’s quite nice, but she has no punch. That’s not a bad thing.

Smells like photorealistic Tide pods or other generic laundry powder. But! That might not be a bad thing. Sometimes you're tired of smelling like something and just want to smell like a clean white t-shirt fresh out of the laundry. This perfume is powdery and soft, and refreshing year-round for that reason.

What a pleasant, bright, white floral laundry scent! I really like this one, it just smells clean. I do not see the similarities to Blanche, I feel there is more sharpness and musk to that one. I dont think I would buy this scent as it doesn't wow me, but the sample I have will hold me over.

This perfume is one of the ‘cleanest’ ever. It smells like crispy cotton sheet's. It’s a scent of serious housewife closet-no jokes, just clean, ironed laundry. I use it in the wash machine softer tab. Today I feel strict and minimalistic and Ceramic emphasize this mood :)

This scent has me conflicted. It smells clean and musky, but I also get a hint of the way the pink nail polish remover smells after it’s dried in the background.

Smells like fresh laundered out of the dryer sheets. But it has a powdery dry down. It’s a something clean on a summer / warm day.

I purchased this perfume because I liked its take on white flowers with apple. It's extremely delicate and cold. There's no juicy sour notes or flower petals but rather a natural skin scent. It's not a strong scent you can get annoyed with however this scent is so faint that it's almost pointless and it doesn't last. I wanted this to be something undetected as a perfume but as a "I naturally smell good" vibe but it just doesn't perform. I can drench myself in this and wouldn't be able to smell it even 30 mins later. No one would say I'd smell good in this. Ceramic to perfume is what La Croix is to soda. I wouldn't call this a laundry scent it's moreso a skin scent, there's nothing soapy about it. This perfume is mildy reminiscent of The Ghost in the Shell by Etat Libre d'Orange (better sillage) in the sense that its purposefully very faint and light and inoffensive and the floral notes ring similar to me.

Giving this a *8/10 - I wanted to love this, I sounded like it was be right up my alley. However, like others, it’s just a clean fragrance without much depth. I don’t know, seems kind of pointless to buy a fragrance when I can smell just like this by simply washing my clothes. I do love lily of the valley and I can smell that note in this, which is nice. For whatever reason, this reminds me of borrowing a boyfriend’s shirt in high school to sleep in. Not sure why this is specifically hinting to me that this is what a freshly washed guy’s shirt smells like but that’s the feeling I get. It’s pretty, simple, clean but yeah, not something I’d personally pay for a full bottle of. UPDATE: the longer I’ve worn this, the more I like it. Bumped up from a 6/10 to an 8/10. There is something deeply nostalgic about this, I’m not sure what it is exactly but it’s very comforting.

This smells way too much like laundry detergent. I was surprised that aldehydes aren't listed in the notes. In the opening it starts with clean white florals, lily of the valley leading the way, and right at that moment you already get the feeling that something overly clean is waiting for you. As if to confirm that feeling, aldehydes and white musk start bursting through... Up to this point there's a cold feel, but the finish of the scent is very powdery and warm. So that ceramic quality is unfortunately there in the beginning, but towards the end it turns into a warming metal spoon. The overall laundry and white sheets vibe though, that's permanent. A floral, soapy scent. Honestly smells exactly like a lovely clean and fresh laundry detergent just in perfume form. I’m not sure I want to wear a photorealistic laundry scent- but if that’s what you’re on the hunt for- this is it! I think it is fairly unisex, despite all the powdery florals because I’m not sure people would read this as a perfume scent, they might just think you’re wearing extraordinarily fresh clothing. Projection is strong- my husband could smell it from 6ish feet away. Longevity is moderate. I think it’s slightly overpriced for what it is, personally but I’m not really looking for something in this scent profile.

this smells EXACTLY like my nana's bathroom in her basement. its cold, floral, powdery, and kind of dusty in an old woman way, not a dirty way. it is very "coastal grandma" but in an old and cute and fancy way. the person that said it smells like bathroom tiles was 100% correct. reminds me of a specific memory of my nana giving me sprigs of lavender on her front step when I was like 11.

The powderiest floral that I have met in a long while. Ceramic really has that sweet smell of a pottery with wet, very fine, clay. It is cool and fresh. And there is also the problem. This type of fragrance can go into air freshener very quickly. So it would depend on your own references and preferences. The lasting power is super - 12h and I can still catch it on my skin!

I tried a sample of this, and on my skin, the opening has a slight hint of nail polish, which I wasn’t expecting. I was hoping to get that clean laundry scent that others have mentioned. Once it settles, though, it develops beautifully. That said, I do find it leans a bit more on the feminine side, in my opinion.

This is so febreezy to me. It brings me memories of my mom helping me clean my room as a teen. It is kinda strong and gives me a migraine. I could see this being good for the office but it does feel like I just sprayed my skin with alot of febreeze and to me the association is too strong.

Dislike blind buy 2/5 - The laundry smell is hot and industrial instead of fresh and clean as I had hoped, so I won't be repurchasing. Smells like cotton sheets the second you open the dryer and get blasted by heat. The 15 ML bottle design is glass with a plastic material cap.

It was beautiful on a blotter. But on my skin it smelt like glue or something you use when you're building a house or painting walls. I had to scrub it off. I think my skin officially hates freesia, I'm tired of how that note ruins every fragrance on my skin.

Dryer sheet, plain and simple.

I really wanted to love this the way I do Soft Tension and Coven but it’s not to be. It’s a bleak white floral with a hint of mineral. Lasts forever and even the evolution is whiter and bleaker. Love this brand and it’s uniqueness but this sadly is a miss for me.

This conjures up memories of Linen and Sky... the Febreeze air freshener, which, I loved as a child. That said, the performance of this fragrance is weak. It’s a basic clean cotton accord. It is enjoyable and inoffensive, but also underwhelming as a fragrance.

This smells as the notes would suggest like a super clean fruity floral which is totally at odds with the edgy branding. Unfortunately the combination of apple and lily of the valley does lean slightly home cleaning product for my taste. It is a no from me.
