Cornucopia

It starts off as an angelica and cumin forward fragrance, almost licorice/absinthe feel. Then woods and earth come forward, but it's an autumnal environment, leaves falling, still sunny. The drydown is elegant and calming. It's like a walk through a luscious autumn park or a nearby forest, it's fresh and green and yet opulent, almost gourmand in an unusual way. It took me a few full wears to grasp it fully.

This is very strange but also very interesting scent. It starts little minty and super herbaceous. In a couple of minutes it transforms into naturalist herb balm scent with lots of green and bitter undertones. It’s also slightly smoky and quite woody. For me it smells like a bitter Hungarian Unicum liquor. Nice and quite addictive, I keep smelling my wrists time to time. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Innovative! Minty freshness at the start, a sweet greenery that reminds me of the fluoride tablets for my teeth that they gave me at school and that I loved! It could be confused with a camphorous sensation. Then, medicinal and woody, like the atmosphere of an apothecary but in modern times: you can sense current molecules working magic in this perfume. Very creative, persistent

The best one in the whole line. The scent develops so well. It changes all the time when you smell it and you can sense bitterness, sweetness even saltiness throughout. Purely mesmerizing. I recommend this piece of art!

#859 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is my third Andrea Maack scent, the first two being Coven and Lightsource. I gave both to female friends, even though they were unisex enough for male wear. That's true here, but nevertheless this will go to a female friend because it's a hair too figgy for me, but not for the woman I have in mind. I gave her a bottle of Vilhelm Parfumerie's "Purple Fig" years ago that she liked a lot, has probably run dry by now, and I would expect her to think this is almost the same juice. Lots of commonality. The opening of this packed a lot of green pepper, but that didn't last but a few minutes. The dry down is mostly fig. BDK "Gris Charnel" has a similar, less fruity vibe, more black tea vibe, also a fig scent, but not as sugary. I almost kept that one for myself, but I relented and the same woman that got my bottle of Maack's "Coven" also got my bottle of "Gris Charnel." This is a moderate performer, though acceptable. But it's pricey (As is every scent targeted primarily at women), so I'd test this out before buying a bottle. And be patient. It's much better well into the dry down than you'd expect from the opening, especially for the men. Car pool, elevator, small office space safe. Office, casual, date night versatile.

I definitely smell the notes as I believe the perfumer intended. It is a spicy, dark vaguely sweet smell. It is not timid -by any stretch of the imagination. This one shoves a harvest basket in your face and dumps the Cornucopia on your head. Not unpleasant. Not a big fan either.. I don't do tons of blind buying. Considering how many wins I have had, thus isn't too bad of a fail for me.

What an interesting fragrance. It starts very fresh with angelica, cypress and other green notes, and then morphs into this minty, sweet, resinous smell...wow, very strange but lovely. Completely unisex and weird...and pretty! It feels like a wet forest with minty and sweet elements....I don't think I have any similar fragrance...sometimes it seems like a soapy peppermint candy... UPDATE: I don't think I can wear it. It has too much weirdness going on...now it smells like wet soil, like a minty petrichor mixed with a sweet cloying note mingled with churchy incense...someone will adore this and probably will be some kind of witch...forget about pretty...this is just strange! UPDATE: 14 hours later the smell of the aromachemicals in this scents is still strong in the bedroom were I tried it. Massive headache trigger and a barbershop cream scent now...I just want to kick myself for spraying this in the house...

Convince me there's no licorice in Cornucopia, as I'm getting a fresh, soil-infused, realistic licorice smell, well-merged with green pepper, cumin, and angelica root. Sort of scent you never find in designer brands, nor so-called niche brands. It gives me a good sense of convenience that the age of innovation is not over, especially, due to its inexpressible waxy coniferous incense, which reminds me of the same quality in the discontinued Norma Kamali Incense. Great performance, unique smell, perfect sillage, and tenacity... Immediately to my wish list . Update: Recently discontinued .

I get liquorice, plus a whole lot of weirdness. It's definitely interesting and artistic. Do I want to smell like this? Not really.
