Jest

This is a heavy perfume. Jest will take over any intimate setting. Despite its weight and presence it's not screaming for attention. It’s more like when it enters the room everyone looks to see what she is wearing and lesser perfumes realize they are wearing last year's hand me downs. Jest is interesting. It is RUM!!! musk, heliotrope, vanilla, it feels like amber, then just a touch of apple, and cardamom. I get no chocolate, if it is there my nose is totally ignoring it. Honestly the rum is a benevolent tyrant protecting me from the scourge of weaker notes. We must raise a glass to our leader!! This is a sweet gourmand, and needs to be worn responsibly. It is ridiculously strong, especially on the opening. It has an impressive sillage, my friends could smell this perfume from at least 6 feet away outside (wind was blowing towards them). That was at hour 4. I had 1 spray on each arm and 2 sprays on my shirt. I have since learned 1 spray on each arm and 1 spray on my shirt is what works best for me. On skin it lasts 4-6 hours, on clothing (scrubs) I could still smell it very well after 11 hours when I changed. This is a cooler to cold weather perfume. If you wear this above 50F/10C it will overwhelm you. This is definitely a unisex perfume, however it definitely leans feminine. I would say 65% feminine if that matters to you. It is a very well crafted perfume. If you love boozy scents this is one to check out. I have worn it a few times and after each wear, I find myself enjoying this perfume more each time. It will never be daily wear (and shouldn’t), but in the right weather in a coffee shop, it makes me feel like I am king of my little universe.

Second day with this on my bedtime hoodie, not reapplied but leftover from last night. The full drydown is where it's at....this is legitimately *thee* most beautiful fucking chocolate fragrance I've ever had the pleasure to experience- out of the 500++ fragrances I've tried on my journey. Jest is something I HAVE TO have, or I will never stop thinking about it (received as a sample w purchase from Lucky Scent). Something about the way pure cacao + plum rum dries down on pure ambroxan- it's intoxicating especially on fabric. Wow...

I can't get enough of this. Such a stark contrast from the sweet, boozy, fruity opening to the woody, slightly spicy, dark chocolate drydown ☯️. It is neither too sweet nor too cloying, perfectly unisex, and distinctly umami plum/semisweet chocolate. Love this beautiful fragrance. The vanilla frenzy of bianco latte and all of its dupes and cousins *almost* made me give up on gourmands entirely, along with even a suggestion of vanilla. This brought me back.

Beautiful jammy fruit opening with the cardamom doing a hit and run. It turns into rich and boozy chocolate powder. It’s kind of weird because if I put my nose up on it I get that dry erase marker scent but if I just smell the sillage of it, it stays that boozy chocolate powder and eventually turns into creamy vanilla skin. The longer on me the more I fell in love with it.

What a wonderful creation. Rum, apple, plum and soft spicyness. I feel like a caramel cocktail when I wear it. For the rum lovers definitely. Beautiful scent that anyone can wear. I’d recommend it more towards women but it’s deep enough for men to be able to wear it passionately:)
