Formidable Man

I really like this one, it's a very versatile masculine fragrance that I keep in my rotation year round. I'd consider it to be slightly on the mature side, not necessarily due to age but it has a vibe that the person has their shit together. It starts out initially as a dusty citrus and osmanthus mix. It reminds me slightly of an empty jar that had long ago housed dried herbs and has been opened and a touch of that dry herb smell remains. An earthy vetiver begins to come to the front and mixes with the sharp lemon, and a sweet fleshiness from the osmanthus. This creates a bit of a menthol/eucalyptus smell that really invigorates my senses. There is a fruity aspect in the background to this that eventually takes over an mellows the sharpness. As it begins to dry down I notice a soapiness that begins to form. As the dry down progresses this turns into a clean incense like smell to me, it has the slightest touch of smoke deep in the background. Overall I enjoy this fragrance. It's very natural smelling fragrance, and it can be worn in any season, although it will perform best in spring/summer. It lasts well on my skin and seems to have decent projection.

Sophistication. Bright citrus opening with a very natural and earthy Vetiver "Think Vetiver Extraordinaire" but after a few minutes there's a hint of fresh grass clippings and the osmanthus begins to shine through a vail of incredible cedar and patchouli in the base. Though not listed in the notes Cedar is certainly a player but the Vetiver and Patchouli remain prominent throughout. Projection and Silliage are above average and I get 7 1/2 hours or more on my skin. Perfect for the office but it also retains a very adventuresome feel and while it shines in the summer and spring, as do most vetivers, I can see this easily being pulled off in the fall as well.....it's just dirty enough. My new favorite Vetiver? Time will tell but it is flying up the rankings. Character: Jack Colton played by Michael Douglas "Romancing the Stone"

A very uplifting scent. Nice take on a everyday, every season fragrance. I can understand those who compare it with Hemes but to my nose it is very different. Fresh, not in your face, can be used as a signature fragrance, most for the day a very nice vetiver (not the earthy one). I like it very much. Like all other perfumes in the entire world always recommend to test and not a blind buy. Every nose, ph and.....is different. Keep having a beautiful day

A very clean, masculine vetiver. It is not a root or earthy vetiver, but one that is very agreeable. The citrus accord is very natural and brightens the composition, blending well with osmanthus, which is a unique note to say the least. The patchouli and moss comes across as a clean musk type and grounds the vetiver to add depth character. Really love the way this shines and has quickly become one of my top vetivers, even surpassing OV.

smelled this a while ago but just now posting the review earthy, soily, vetiver, potpourri, orange, toned down terre d'hermes, or Tom Ford vert d'bois not bad but nothing striking going on in the formula

Almost a copy of Terre d'Hermès. It's a shame for Olivia Giacobetti which is generally a great perfumer... and by the way a trendsetter rather than a follower. Too bad!
