L'Original

Light, soft scent. Smells like dirt, grass, and water. Earthy and refreshing.

With this I have a mashup of notes already heard. The clarity of Aventus, with Penhaligon's pepper, dissolved in angelica Eau d'hiver. It has a very similar side to it. The Eau d'hiver is a little more ...contemplative. A fragrance of the skin from the first minute, pleasant, safe, simple and unisex. Perfect for thoroughly washing your face early in the morning. A pepper that does not harm your eyes. Confirm... For a greater cloud you will have to fill the sink to the brim. And do not rinse and dry. It smells like an optimistic "good morning".

Got a sample of this from Twisted Lily. Out of the vial it's super weak, with terrible sillage. It gives me the overall impression of a very slight pepperiness, like a weaker CdG Black Pepper or Montale Intense Pepper. Also has some aquatic notes going on

Imagine a vine of citrus fresh and ripe ripped straight out of the ground and washed off. Not cut open or anything. Very very natural ripe and earth smell. Pass

Of all the collections at pitti in september this was probably my favourite, and this along with the tan d'epices were the stand outs. L'original opens with a lovely soft, woodsy pepper and I also detect a slight galbanum-like bitterness although it is not listed as an ingredient. The drydown/heart continues the woodsy pepper in the same manner; gentle and soft, close to the skin with a freshness perhaps provided by the water lily? It feels like a very autumnal/winter fragrance, for cloudy covered days and thoughts of woodland walks and fallen leaves. Very natural and wearable- recommended!

Weak as f*, but interesting. "Pepper" here means pink pepper, somewhat in between just painted new wooden furniture and bean sprout, decorated by aquatic hint, as well as an imaginary greenness. Faint floral floats by like a phantom. You won't be able to over-spray it even if you want to. There is something elusive about it, like a word you forget once you spell it out. No matter how much you apply, it just diffuses into void the second you put it on.

L'Original is actually not so original. It reminds me something which I can't identify, as if you met the person you had known some day. Its very peppery and full of soft spices. Not very loud and extremely unisex. Nice addition to the cold day we have here.
