The Jewel of Ocean

Just wanted to drop my thoughts on The Jewel of the Ocean after spending some time with it. If you're into that clean, crisp, slightly fruity vibe like YSL Y EDT, but wish it had better longevity and presence — this might be what you're looking for. Right off the top, you get that familiar fresh citrus and minty opening—bright and energetic. It transitions into a fruity-aromatic mid with something that resembles apple and geranium, very much like YSL Y. The drydown is where it gets interesting: smooth amber, musk, and a touch of incense, but richer and rounder than YSL Y EDT. It's basically YSL Y’s DNA dialed up with extrait concentration. If YSL Y EDT is clean and airy, Jewel of the Ocean is denser, smoother, and a little more refined. This is where it really shines. Projection: Strong for the first 2–3 hours. Definitely noticeable but not overwhelming. Sillage: Moderate trail — great for close encounters without being offensive. Longevity: 8–12+ hours on skin, even longer on clothes. This thing lasts all day. Being an extrait de parfum, the oil content is clearly higher, and you can feel it. One spray goes a long way, so go easy. One of the best parts honestly — pressurized atomizer gives you a wide, even mist like what you’d get from niche houses (think Roja or Nishane quality). Makes application feel high-end. If you love YSL Y EDT but want better longevity and a more luxurious feel, The Jewel of the Ocean is a great pickup. It’s not a 1:1 clone — it’s YSL Y with more richness and staying power. Perfect for day wear, office, or casual settings, and safe for year-round use. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants the designer vibe without the need to reapply mid-day. It doesn't smell like ysl y edt/edp, it smells minty, typically blue, sea-like, and to me synthetic. Very similar to Lail Maleki Moroccan Blue, only this is smoother.

Smells like your fresh out of the shower and you used a blue, icy, aquatic, and little fruity shower gel. Last 8+ hours with moderate projection for 3-4 hours. masculine. Little to strong. 7/10.
