Oriental Soul Pour Homme

Classic Arabian/Eastern oriental fragrance. The oud blasts out from the first spritz followed by a beautiful spicy/woody masterpiece. The rose while not obvious seems to provide an element of luxury which holds the fragrance together. Longevity and projection are above average and instills an aura of mystical/exoticism about the wearer. Having traveled extensively in the Arabic world I see this as a beautiful rendition of what you would expect on anyone heading towards Mecca! Firm buy recommendation if you're fortunate enough to find a sample!

Another hidden gem from Angel Schlesser! Heavy band-aid like oud in the opening, but that fades after 20-30 minutes. What's left is a spicy combination of sandalwood, amber and a hint of clove that last 8+ hours. The notes list rose, but I'm not detecting any. I'm not a rose fan, so this is a good aspect for me. A winner.

the opening is clearly Oud then it loses its strength to show the vitality of amber and rose.conventionally this perfume has all the elements of elegance and delicacy.

The oud smell is fantastic. The drydown is even better. My idea of a perfect fragrance. LOVE IT

Forgotten fragrance from a decade ago. And I'm sure my bottle is about that old, so it may have gone off. Despite the opaque black glass bottle suggesting good protection. Quite strong pelargonium gives it a brisk opening and about the only note it does well, quite well. Overall, it's nice, and it doesn't smell like classic rose-oud fragrances. Casual, fresh, and sporty oriental? It has a locker room vibe.

Wow, just WOW..BIG NEON CAPITAL LETTERS IN BOLD FONT WOW!!! Received a few days ago and waited to give my review because tbh, I had to collect myself- so giddy was I with the quality of this stunner of a fragrance. Look, we all know this is not an inexpensive "hobby" and in the age of COV19 when we are masked and socially distanced and most stores are "light on stock", it has been even more difficult to test out and get our noses on something we've heard about or that has been recommended. What this leads to is a good amount of hope, trust and thus, blind buying. There is some degree of wild adventure enjoyment in this forced exercise but the big downside is (all together now) when you pay Ritz-Carlton prices and wind up with Holiday Inn Express juice 😑 . We've all been there and suffered through it, especially with so-called niche houses delivering us mediocre fragrances at ridiculously high prices. And then, every once in a while real magic happens and a long shot comes in and blows you away with a stunning performance. Suddenly, your belief in the art of perfumery and the joy of discovery is rejuvenated and thoroughly rewarded. This is what Oriental Soul Pour Homme is. The top is acrid and slightly peppery with dark floral notes rushing around a linear black pepper that is briefly present only to be substituted and replaced by an audacious oud. Your eyes go wide... like WTF?.. oud in the opening??!!! Your shock is immediately arrested because something dank, much more dank and dare I say, wet and darker still appears not 5 minutes in and...your mind is searching for a hint, any hint of rose because... heck, what else nowadays accompanies oud. You're there waiting and waiting for the expected but you don't get it. Instead, BOOM ('60s Batman TV show style) you get musk, deliciously wrapped up in a Playboy centerfold like benzoin that's beyond risqué. Not 10 minutes in and you're looking around to see if anyone else can smell this utter XXX rated peep show on your wrist. The placement of notes and the blending of this fragrance is magnificent. FULL STOP. We all need to know who the nose is on this fragrance because awards need to be handed out ASAP! As the peep show continues unabated, the second act opens and here comes our very late to the stage rose. She's hot and bothered and she's impatient and she's annoyed and she's not here to mince words. She storms across the stage in a fit of rage and brooding silence. Simmering and petulant and here long enough to remind us why we'd been waiting so expectantly all along. Then, like Keyser Soze, "just like that" she's "gone"! She leaves a powdery geranium in her wake to clean up after her. Now we have a dank, dark, rose dusted affair settling nicely into the dry down. Miss Geranium sprinkles cloves on the floor to mask the anger of our brief but lascivious encounter with Madame Rose. As the 90 minute mark passes we get a chocolatey UPS special delivery of patchouli as a Dear John letter from our vexed Madame Rose. That letter hangs over the mantle of the fireplace where we are sat nudging pieces of sandlewood and cedar with our poker as we force back tears of joy and sadness. Why did we spend $300+ on Oud Wood and why did we chase the dragon of Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud Eau de Cologne Concentree when all along this sublime piece of alchemy went unpurchased in our online cart? Spray this generously, walk the red carpet like it has your initials on it and don't forget to wave to all the little people who came out just to catch a glimpse of you. bon chance

Bigsly. You obviously haven’t tried this. This isn’t a run of the mill rose oud combo, or anything like it. I can’t detect rose, which suggests to me that it’s very well blended. After all, rose isn’t exactly difficult for anyone to spot in a scent! That said, I prefer the ADP Oud! I stand by my review below.

This is really, really fantastic! Quality and performance way beyond its price point. Smells uncannily like Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud Eau de Cologne Concentree at a fraction of the price :-)

i have smell it yesterday first u will smell oud like all other release but after it come down the base of smill become different and nice
