#962 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is very similar to Robert Piguet's "Bois Noir" and about $80 less. Also similar to Bohoboco's "Dark Vinyl Musk" and about $40 less. Overall it's a very mild, inoffensive, office, carpool, elevator safe, all-around pleasant musky scent. Dead center unisex. Performance is on the moderate side. I think this is a versatile scent for any use. It's not a sharply projecting scent, but anyone at arm's length will like it. I think this is one worth adding to the collection.

i don't get any "female" vibe from the 100ml bottle i bought from the shop in rome in november '22. (worth a visit.) new kid gloves with a hint of summer berries. it is probably the sandalwood/patchouli base and labdanum which confuse my nose memory. i suspect the batches are not totally consistent. of all the ciampagna on offer in the shop i bought this and fauni. for me, this is personal delight. no statement here.

Candidly, bought for the name. All the notes are there--labdanum, patchouli, resin, metallic notes. Slightly powdery, and "clean". I don't love or hate it, the reaction it creates is actually strikingly neutral. Ultimately, that makes it a firm pass. After some time: The scent is much better if you are smelling 'close-to-the-skin', which moves it positively away from neutral, but what it projects at even 12 inches away moves towards slightly negative.

A very mature fragrance. Silage is amazing. The perfume for me, is reminiscent of earthy characteristics. It gives off that strong woody earthiness upon the first spritz. A very rich and unique blend definitely and the bottle cap is hand crafted which makes this fragrance even extra special . A work of art due to the fact that intensive labor of love went into creating this beauty. Will look amazingly graceful on a top shelf Holding the bottle I could tell right away that this is a work of an artisan and attention to details went into the production of this fragrance. Smells very nice,very vintage, very mature. Smells like you’re walking around in the Mediterranean woodlands. The sandalwood gives off a very strong and long lasting projection. It’s a new found love. A collectors item no doubt and I felt very alive just sniffing it on my skin. Longevity is off the charts...more than 36hours already and still going.. Absolutely potent and beautiful scent indeed!

Resinous woods. This is the smell of a black velvet cloak. It has resinous woody notes, some sweat like note, lapdanum, cedar, and a tiny gray metallic note. I can't detect any patchouli. This one is quite cute. The cool down goes incense and black pepper.
