Jasmine Yang

A very pretty, exotic take on jasmine. Dominated by frangipani and jasmine, with subtle hints of vanilla. This is a true tropical fragrance, evocative of fine sand, azure water and tan lines. Perfect for a beach day if you spray lightly, as I can imagine this becoming too much in the heat. It doesn't last long, sadly - could barely feel a mellow musky trail an hour and a half later...

Sparkling syrup frangipani ylang... whatever The ylang gives the syrup, metallic, watered jasmines mix that kind of (sorry to say) makes me wanna vomit! which is at the first spray. It's more of a frangipani, vanilla, amber, and ylang than any jasmines that could be! i mean i had the first whiff of "MAYBE" jasmines as the top note in the very first thing I've sniffed when i sprayed it on my wrest but later the amber, vanilla, frangipani, even the sandalwood rises and no real sign of jasmines! The cool down makes the jasmines stand at the back, but the vanilla ylang is just overly stripping the scene and conquering the whole blend! it's just too much of those 2 notes than ever!i would've named it "Vanilla Yang" rather than "Jasmine Yang"! It's too syrup, and too sweet to be a jasmine or even white floral blend (at least for a 10 minutes in). It could be a love for those who doesn't like that animalic indolic jasmines, and more into a sweet syrup ylang with amber and vanilla. I kind of smell a more sweeter version of original 2003 of female version of "Beyond Paradise" by Estee Lauder! can't say cloying, but more like a hair-thin to cloying.

I had never heard of this niche house until I received a sample in an order and, judging from a quick web search, it is not sold on too many sites. This perfume smells very good, has good performance and some evolution, although I wouldn't expect anything less in its price range. The first few hours it smells to me like a classic cologne that is tremendously high in the jasmine part, which is powerful and indolic, sweetened with a lot of ylang ylang. As the development of the perfume progresses, the musk and amber are more and more present, making it a warm perfume. It has a moderate sillage and lasts around 8-9 hours on my skin. Although I didn't fall in love with it, I think it is a nice proposal and its notes feel very natural.
