Under the Mango Tree

GORGEOUS green mango. This is NOT ripe and it is not juicy. I do not get any grapefruit or bergamot in the opening, and I'm OK with that. It's very much the skin of a mango when it's not fully ripe, with mild green tomato leaf. The middle notes of rose are VERY prominent on my skin. It's green mango and rose water together. The dry down take a bit on my skin, but I do get a mild hay and dust. I could be picking up the fir and pine, but the green of the mango is the prominent green on my skin. This dries down to a green skin scent. Truly lovely.

Featuring a spectacular mango accord supported by pine and firm balsam, Anjali uses the latter to really bring to life this tropical fruit with a unique, complex profile. It is almost mouthwatering, feeling so saturated yet also velvety to the nose. Rosy accents and green notes further flesh it out, while further on into the development, it feels more dry, woody, and somewhat rustic. I would love to wear this in the summertime and see how it behaves on my perspiring skin on a humid day.

The dry down has a bit of soft woody touch with a nice addition of hay. Remants of the mango skin linger, but its much greener in the dry down. While I don't care for the scent, its a well made one

Fruity, but more in a sour rhubarb/cannabis-esque way than mango, and softens quickly. None of the Fragrantica-listed notes are apparent to me. A summer fragrance with a fresh edginess.

A little mango, very green and fresh. Mostly base notes on me, with some citrus and a little tomato leaf. The rose is muted on me. Does not last all day.

Definitely green mango and fruit, cut with the greens, and a soft powdery rose behind. Really quite lovely. No sweet syrupy fruit at all, just a gentle freshness of juice and the green tang of tomato leaf and fir, with that soft OmbreRose type rose behind. Very pretty, might even wear it in summer myself and I’m not a rose person at all.

A burst of mango/citrus juice brightens your palette! The dry down happens quickly to a calming dry wood and hay. A very close to the skin scent. Lasting a few hours. It is just like sipping a refreshing fresh squeezed juice on a hot summer day sitting under a tree. A warm breeze tickles your skin. Relaxing and delightful.
