Ambre Destan

This one is pleasant -- very enjoyable. It's a very vanillic-amber, this one...tonnes of benzoin and a healthy dose of something food-like. My mind is telling me something wheaty-doughy, but of course, I'm not 100% sure... It could very well be caramel-sugar, or something to that effect... I think it's a definitely possible purchase, but I'm not 100% sold on it just yet. I need more time with it before I can give a definite answer...

I have a sample of this. It smells how you'd expect from looking at the notes. Honestly, I was quite underwhelmed by this. It's pleasant enough - not sickly sweet like many amber-dominant frags can be. But it's pretty forgettable. Even writing this now, I'm struggling to remember the exact smell of it. I suppose this might be for you if you want a fairly understated/inoffensive amber-vanilla which isn't super sweet. Unfortunately, it's just not interesting enough for me (sorry if that's a really scathing thing to say, it's just how I feel)

Initially deeply sweet. caramelizing maple brown sugar, warm medicinal spices speckled throughout. amber syrup poured into frosted shell shaped glass, a remedy for sore throats & cold hearts. with assurance by sandalwood, a mystic woman bottles her creation, trust falling into mystery.

#1021 in my "Tour de Fragrance' This is an unimpressive amber. I was expecting something really syrupy from the reviews, but not at all. It's not much different from Serge Lutens "Ambre Sultan" which is also an unimpressive amber. The Lutens runs $55 for 50ml on Jomashop and this Ana Kus runs $120 for 50ml on Lucky Scent and I'm certainly not smelling $65 worth of difference. That said, this is safe for any use or environment and dead center unisex with moderate longevity, not much sillage. Serge Lutens has this beat, but not by a lot and that's not much of an endorsement of the Lutens scent. Neither perform well enough that I think they're worth owning, not when there are so many cheap and powerful ambers out there going for $35 or less. The Grand Soir similar from Fragrance World, "Barakkat Ambre Eve" is better than this for $21. Lattafa "Eternal Oud" is $33. Miris has one for around $25. I think this is a waste of your money.

No one should deal with this brand. The owner, named Ali, stole from me five months ago, has not returned my money, and does not respond to messages. I have proof of this and strongly advise you to stay away from him. Sweet vanilla amber.... This amber sweet reminds me of "Ambre Russe" by D'empire but quite lighter and myre syrupy sweet vanilla mix. It has very sandalwood, & labdanum. Nice
