This Ember

#1013 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Even the Ana Kus website is sold out of this one and is also sold out of "Miskul Hareem" and "Ambre Destan" which I also loved. Running out of product 2 weeks before Christmas? That's some amateur hour planning boys and girls. Someone should be hunting a new job for the new year. Anyway, another fabulous scent from this house. They may not know how to plan production but they sure know how to cook up a good perfume. Amber, smoke, vanilla, dark and woody as a Victorian men's club. Business wear for the board room, not the mail room. But despite solid longevity and projection I don't think it gets overwhelming and offensive unless you bathe in it. When it's in stock, the Kus website has it at about $150 US plus S&H, which is not awful, but not affordable for many. I would probably be in for a bottle except I already have Montale "Wood on Fire" which covers this same ground for half the price.

Hand test via sample. First stages of reminds me of Pulse of The Night form Issey Mistake >but< with added lots of delightful musk and birch tar. On my skin olibanum, so incense with >strong< fruity top note is most prominent together but I also gets fair amount of slightly animalic, cold musk undertone which takes the lead in drydown mixed with lots of different notes - I can smell leathery, smoky birch tar, tons of labdanum, but also got hints of tobacco and mirrh. This is rich, complex but quite linear, although I detect many facets during it's life on my skin - the scent itself is very vibrant and radiant. Dark background is working as great depth for main players mentioned before. Longevity is insane. I like it a lot! //edit 09.02.23 - got my bottle (cheap quality atomiser) and absolutely love the juice!

I'm on my 2nd bottle. I believe there are differences within batches. My 1st bottle had a much cleaner amber-profile it was gorgeous, 2nd one is way heavy on the furr-like animalic note it makes it harder to wear. both of them has the number "2" engraved underneath the bottle. Purchase gap is one year between them. Still revolutionary perfume after all. Prefer the lighter version.

Absolutely stunning high level blend. Sweetish vanilla leather, soft musk, a bit of smokiness and velvety natural smelling oud in the background.

Seriously one of the best things I've ever smelled

I'm very disappointed by this one, It's smells good but I was expecting something interesting and I got this designer'ish sweet scent, it's something that PDM/INITIO/MC would make, it's that level of bland and safe! it smells of a sweet caramel vanilla, sweet soft leather, musk and Amberwood. That's it! No birch tar no oud no labdanum, it has zero edge to it or anything that smells close to niche, it's very much Maison Crivelli and Initio smelling, very safe and designer'ish. I would be fuming with anger if I blind bought it from the notes listed and the brief associated with it. Thank god it's a sample.

The opening has a stinky bug spray smell that luckily disappears slowly. I think its some chemical that posts performance of perfumes cause this isn’t the first fragrance i pick it up in. Otherwise its seductive soft borderline aromatic amber vanilla musk beauty.. its so soft it leans feminine imo

Out of all the collection, this I found was too basic, designer-ish 5/10

The fragrance smells amazing and has excellent longevity with decent sillage. One thing I’d like to complain about is the sprayer, it’s very cheap and doesn’t spread well, you hear a clicking sound every time you press it. Please change the sprayer. I had to change my bottle because the sprayer was spitting instead of spraying as a perfume.

Avoid this brand as he decived and took my friends money and didn't return it back.

Extremely unprofessional – zero support, no address, lost my money I had a very bad experience with this company. My order was rejected by the shipping company because perfumes are restricted to my country. This is normal in international fragrance shipping, and it usually requires the seller to provide a return address so the shipment can be sent back. I contacted this company multiple times over more than a month and a half, clearly explaining the situation and asking for their full return address. No replies. No help. No responsibility. There is no clear address listed anywhere, no proper customer support, and no follow-up at all. Because of their complete lack of response, I lost more than $250. For context: I regularly buy perfumes from many countries (including the USA and Italy) using the same shipping companies, and I have never faced this issue before. The problem here is not shipping — it’s the company’s silence and unprofessionalism. If something goes wrong with your order, you are on your own. I strongly do not recommend buying from them unless you’re willing to take the risk of losing your money.

Anka Kus This Ember This is an interesting frag. It is definitely an amber scent, but not the main stream amber. To me this is a refined version of Santal 33 but without the Pickle smell. It opens with musky slightly boozy slightly balsamic and slightly powdery. I can detect the oud in the background. I also feel that they used real ambergris. The quality is obvious, and this one stood out for me from the rest instantly. This scent for me is not challenging, and can be an everyday wear. It has the same vibes as TF GV and Guerlain Veriver although this is not a vetiver scent.I think that the Labdanum and cedar combination are the two notes setting the direction for this perfume. This one, Betwext and Ismail Efendi are my favorites from the brand because of their well constructed dry down

As intrigued as I was by the idea of a fragrance inspired by the lore of the phoenix, this is less a solitary mythical firebird and more a gaggle of mean girls cackling at a sick burn. It’s the sort of ambery raspberry-smoky rose that I’m already disinclined to like, because I don’t love fruity florals, but there is something about this one that’s particularly smug and acridly unlikeable. It’s got the structure of a scent that aspires to an aura of power and allure, but it falls flat, it’s just a loud, saccharine veneer in the shape of a void where a personality is meant to be. And sure, you can tell me I need therapy for my high school trauma, but I swear I don’t even think about that stuff until a particularly awful perfume comes across my radar. This is one of those perfumes.

No one should deal with this brand. The owner, named Ali, stole from me five months ago, has not returned my money, and does not respond to messages. I have proof of this and strongly advise you to stay away from him. The owner of this brand is a thief. Liar and counterfeit.. Has roped my friend off for AU$3000. Hasn't returned my money.. Hasn't given me any product or whatsoever 🤔. And not responding.. STOP SUPPORTING HIM. PLEASE.

From the sample I got, I get this photorealistic animal furr in a clean sort of way that's merged beautifully with the cashmere musk. This also feels somewhat boozy too but it works and I may just get a bottle👍

A smoky, woody (birch tar), ambery, musky fragrance dominated by warm tonka and vanilla. Beautiful, light, and below average performance.
