Cosmic Sky

A carnival at sunrise. Sweet clouds rolling in the sky. Balloons escaping the grasp of the adolescent and reaching for the stars. Something sweet, something sticky. Your hand is clutched by the one you love, pulling you towards the Ferris wheel. First things first, the bottle is one of the prettiest I own. The pictures really don't do justice. The glass is sort of holographic and when it's in the light it twinkles and its hard to keep your eyes off it. It just looks and feels so magical, it's truly a work of art. Moving on, the perfume itself is also very lovely. It reminds me of a carnival, with the sweet, apple, and vanilla notes, but with a splash of elegance thanks to the musk and amber. The vanilla scent almost reminds me of whipped cream specifically, as its so light and airy, definitely noticeable but not overbearing. It's honestly perfect for any occasion, it's youthful yet elegant, fun yet refined.

a LOVELY friend of mine gifted a sample of this to me around last year. I don't have access to this fragrance in my own country but when I went back to London in past September, came across a few bottles of this for only 40 pounds at a TKMaxx. I just HAD TO buy one for myself! It's a veeery girly, flirty, sugar bomb scent. Love it and how it reminds me of that lovely and creative friend who introduced me to this. But other than the memories I associate with it, I couldn't see a reason to keep this in my collection as I was leveling way up to a Kilian fragrance instead. I sold my own bottle to another collector and they really liked it too. For just 40 pounds, this was a steal. Not a perfume I'd obsess over, but definitely one that brings you joy in a very sweet way.

After reading some reviews I was a little nervous about trying this perfume - I should not have been. It is absolutely divine! I definitely get the citrus with bergamot in the opening balanced beautifully with the pear. It reminds me of a Victoria’s Secret body spray my girlfriends bought travelling in NYC in 2012 - funnily enough I didn’t like it then, but I absolutely adore it now. The silage and projection is incredible - it lasts at least 6 hours on me and I have a complete scent bubble that entire time. And they dry down only gets better the longer it is in your skin. I could not recommend this more highly - I don’t have anything remotely close to this scent in my collection.

Absolutely a safe blind buy for lovers of woodsy florals. It is a slightly masculine fragrance due to the way the wood and ambrette (musk mallow) is balanced. It is a more masculine version of Cloud and a more feminine version of sweater weather from bath and body works. If you even remotely like one of those scents, this is worth a try. Not groundbreaking but definitely indulgent and a fun option. Status as an EDT concerned me but proved quite well silage and lasting power. Also came with a card that says it was handmade in Japan!

Please ignore the comment about this smelling like Baccarat Rouge 540, literally opposite end of the scale. This is incredibly sweet and fruity, I don't tend to love Anna sui scents but this is quite nice to me, I guess it depends what you like and go for, I like sweet scents. I'm glad I finally found a scent from Anna sui that I really enjoy because the bottles are absolutely stunning and so unique, yes somewhat more childlike than grown up and sophisticated, but I really enjoy this.

One of my favourite perfumes! A beautiful sweet floral fragrance, I love perfumes like Fantasy and this feels like a more grown up version of that. Works for any occasion as well! The bottle is beautiful but mine is starting to leak after a few months, and it was a substantial amount that leaked. So I've been keeping it stored upside down which is a shame because the bottle is something you would want to display.

Wow, I am very pleasantly surprised by this one! Was surprised to smell an Ariana Grande kind of sweetness at first, but then I can smell later the amber, brown sugar, and a hint of the pear. I got the mini size, but definitely want the full size now, especially because of that beautiful bottle! It's sweet, but not childish. Main accords show floral first, but I would def put sweet above floral.

This is definitely my favorite perfume from Anna Sui. As the concept suggests, it has a mysterious sweet scent that reminds me of the night sky. It smells like a shwuish pear and after some time, it is a sweet sugar and woody scent. It calms me down when I put it on before bed. I wish this was EDP and the scent was more long lasting. And bottle is too cute!

My first review on fragrantica despite having only reading for so long. This has semblance to Zara Sultry Pear and also reminds me somehow of La Belle but more similar to the former, as La Belle is a bit more complex. This is a love for me.

A very intensely musky/amberette and woody scent! It's more mature than I imagine it would be. The base note reminds me a lot of Lancome Idole Intense. Good for Spring/Fall wear.

It starts out with a pear scent. But it is not a simple pear, but a mysterious sweet scent that reminds one of a sparkling night sky. I love it!

It definitely reminds me of god is a woman, BUT just a hint. In the beginning it's a bit sharper maybe because of the ambrette. Definitely a rose fragrance, but not in your face rose more like a base note. Lening to clean/aromatic scents. It's not a sweet fragrance in my opinion. I won't even comment the bottle that was the reason I bought the fragrance. I have god is a woman and had a perfume in a rose but I would say they are dupes. The longevity is a bit poor like 4hrs at best. Sillage is closer to intimate which for me is perfect because I don't won't to bother people with my fragrance. Nothing a like with Sky. For me cosmic sky is a win but sky it's in my liking. Will I buy it again? Probably no because I would like to explore similar fragrances with better performance.

The photo really doesn’t do the bottle justice. I recently blind bought (partly for the fragrance, but mostly for the bottle), and in person it is beautiful. Anna Sui’s bottles tend to be right on the line between cute and tacky, but Cosmic Sky is pretty and iridescent, and it looks lovely next to much more expensive perfumes. As to the fragrance, while I get the comparisons to God Is A Woman, on me Cosmic Sky becomes musky/woody more quickly. Within just a minute or two, the brown sugar, ambrette, and woody notes start to drown out the pear and apple. I was lucky enough to get this on a very good deal, and while I’m not sure how much I’ll wear it. I am very happy to have this for the pretty bottle.

At first whiff, it smelled like an Ariana Grande perfume, which isn't a bad thing. It smells light and sweet on top, almost like cotton candy. But it's also very adult underneath. I think that's rose and musk, maybe a little woodsy. Somehow it manages to smell like both at the same time rather than waiting for a dry down. There's not much in the way of a trail, it's a rather intimate fragrance. And it doesn't seem to be quite as long lasting as other Anna Sui fragrances like Secret Wish or Fantasia Mermaid. The bottle is gorgeous and I'm considering getting a full size just for the bottle.

A delicate, sweet fragrance that is musky, powdery, and a little fruity. No specific fruit note jumps out at me and nothing smells overly juicy — it’s as if all the notes were in powder form. I love it, and it’s an easy reach for spring or late summer/early fall. There’s a musky warmth from the ambrette, and since it definitely leans sweet, I wouldn’t wear it in the peak of summer. It’s a beautiful fragrance and quite unique. It reminds me a bit of Ebony Wood by Zara, but imagine removing all the woody facets and amplifying the powdery sweetness — that’s the vibe.

I received a defective bottle unfortunately and it had leaked all over the place, so parts of the hot air balloon design are tarnished. When it comes to the fragrance, it definitely smells more adult and sultry than the original Sky. I can smell something a bit more candy sweet in it as well. I find that the two perfumes actually layer beautifully together. So if you don't like one or the other, you might enjoy them as one!

Not gonna lie, I blind bought this for the bottle and it is gorgeous in person! The fragrance itself is a little sharp for my taste, but I do enjoy it. On my skin it's very citrusy and fruity to the end. Youthful. Bears little resemblance to the original Sky in the pink bottle. Good longevity and sillage. I'm trying out layering combos with this and will edit when I find some winners.

Beautiful fragrance from anna sui and this is the only one I like from her. I have smelt her other perfumes and I did not like one of them until I smelt cosmic sky and I did thought that this perfume reminds me of Ariana Grande god is a woman. I like both of the fragrances and I also love the anna sui version because of the bottle it’s absolutely stunning.

I wanted to like this one more than "Sky" by Ana Sui. However, it really does have an aquatic note I don't like. It's such a bummer. The bottle is gorgeous and the scent itself is really nice. I just feel like Ana Sui's scents are strangely safe. I'd love something more complex from her considering her whole brand is so cute and whimsical!

Let's be honest, I bought this for the amazing bottle! The frag is a very generic fruity smell. Definitely inoffensive and I don't see anyone "hating" this scent. But for me it's kinda boring/blah. I'll probably end up using it to layer with other frags to make it more interesting!

What a lovely perfume! This was a blind buy for me and it was so worth it! At the opening it’s fruity in a fresh and clean way and quickly develops into a warm, musky, fruity smell. It leans feminine but it reads as surprisingly unisex on me. Such a great scent!

A very fruity, sweet, and above all YOUNG fragrance. Best suited to a teenager or young adult. I love the bottle but I do smell slightly ridiculously fruity at my (nearly AARP) age. It's cheerful and fun, and would make a very pretty gift.

On me, this smells like a mix between JPG LaBelle and Ariana Grande God is a Woman. The bottle is adorable, but awkward to spray.

Smells like syrupy canned pear 🍐 it's airy and innocent. This is what I imagine a cherub would wear. Not sexy or mature.

I love Anna Sui's packaging and bottle designs. 💞 She captures such a fun, creative, and girly energy with her fragrance line. That being said, the scent will definitely be a hit or miss for you. Cosmic Sky has such a strong, thick sugary scent - it can be overwhelming and cloying. The perfume also has a heavy use of musk, which somehow comes off as boozy. 🤷Like it literally smells like alcohol, which I expect during opening notes.... but even the dry down is giving Bacardi and candy. My partner and I both took a whiff and the image that came to our minds was a drunk girl on the dance floor after way too many cocktails. She's fun, but she's also a hot mess and smells like sweat, perfume, and alcohol. 🍸💃 PROS: beautiful bottle, cute and girly packaging, creative concept, sweet sugary scent CONS: Strong, cloying, cheap smell.

Gorgeous bottle but I really don’t like the juice at all! It smells like a fruity public toilet - I don’t know what went wrong with this for me but I can’t stand it. Just smells like generic public toilet cleaning fluid! And it’s cloying. It’s winter and I regret wearing it today, as all afternoon I can keep smelling it, especially once I got into a warm car. This is a sad nope because the bottle is dreamy. I do have a the original sky and don’t like it either so I guess it’s not for me! :-(

I blind bought it just for the bottle, I have few Anna Sui perfumes and mostly bought it cause of the bottle. this scent was too powdery and woody on me, my wrist smells like it the whole day. Didn't get much of the fruity/floral scent.. it went straight powdery and now its just gonna sit in my collection maybe just using it for once in a long time..

A basic cotton candy type of perfume that gets overshadowed by a synthetic musky scent that smells slightly medicinal with the apple. I'm not much of a fan of musky scents and this one is the type of musk that is in most colognes I dislike.

it wasn’t as floral or fruity as i thought it was, it was kind of a let down to be honest but i still like the perfume even though it isn’t as great as i thought it would smell. it smells more like leaves than anything

Honestly, bought this for the bottle. The scent on the initial spray is nice and fruity. Upon dry down, it smells like oud and popcorn. I’d wear this out at night in winter.

This was a blind buy, for the bottle... obviously. After it has settled into my skin, all I can smell is sweet popcorn, like kettle corn, perhaps? No idea where this is coming from! Don’t love it as much as I wanted to.

This is pretty! First Anna Sui I like and I'm keeping. On initial spray it resembles Baccarat Rouge 540 a lot! After a couple minutes it's less sweet, and more musky, leaning unisex. The bottle is a showstopper, sweet and airy, just like it's scent (no pun intended ;) After thinking about it for a day, I finally know what this reminds me most of!!! The light blue mist from Sol de Janeiro!!! It's a slightly less sweet Do not disturb! Update: I've been wearing it for 3 days straight and I must say...I haven't been hooked on a fragrance like this in a very long time! It's the nicest frag with pear I ever tried and the drydown is intoxicating to me! Yes, after a couple hours (I'd say 4h) it becomes more of a personal, skin frag, something which people would only pick up if they're standing close to you. I get around 8h of presence, been wearing it to the office and I cycle to work. Would pick up faint wiffs of it when back at home and changing to my trackies. But I'm so so suprised with it! And most of all so suprised it's a Anna Sui frag and that I love it so much. I got it half price, for £25 at Superdrug in UK and just looking at the beautiful bottle is enough, adding the scent and the performance, I must say Sky exceed my expectations!

Cosmic Sky is flirty, playful, sweet, radiant, and a little aloof. Venusian, Libra in a bottle. I blind bought this from TJMaxx for the bottle alone. It's gorgeous, and I could curate my perfume shelf around it and imagine a whole wardrobe and aesthetic. This is getting a permanent place in my collection for that alone. I didn't expect to enjoy this that much I really don't like Cloud or God is a Woman, but I'm surprisingly into it. It reminds me a little of Layali Rouge but with a powdery note, probably from the ambrette and iris. Definitely fruity and sweet, although it is sharper than I expected. If you like fruity florals this is a perfectly safe blind buy - don't be scared of the BR DNA.

Beautiful bottle. The scent is woody sweet floral, some musk, nothing new under the sun. I feel I have smelled this a thousand times before. Why don't they put the same effort in the scent? if the scent was a pretty as the bottle it would have been a hit. I am glad I just got a sample of this uber generic synthetic mess.

diner bathroom soap is a great description for this it really smells like the soap at my diner. it’s nice tho if you like fruits and stuff but not really my style
