Fantasia

Jumping on the packaging bandwagon,I had to have at least 1 small bottle of this in my perfume pantry. It arrives, as a blind buy, I open it and spray. Back I go, to a time where only ladies wore perfume. I MEAN ladies. No riff raff would smell this lovely. It's got an old time feel to it. But it IS actually very modern and can quite easily compete with any Lolita or other popular scents. Earthy, comforting. Then, I pictured myself on a very sunny summers day, in the English countryside somewhere, riding a lovely grey pony. And we brush past a huge raspberry bush. Raspberry bush. Not the actual berry, but a bush. It's so real, I kept looking around for that bush. If this was an eau de parfum, my god, it would give everyone within 1 kilometer a severe headache. Instead, it's a toilette with softness and subtle staying power. Back to the packaging, and ofcourse its so adorable. This golden unicorn that would bulge any little girls heart, including those of us who have been grown women for some time. What a lovely little pony ride that unicorn gives.

I purchased mine in the early 2018 just for the bottle alone. The bottle is EVERYTHING! The scent was also nice actually. On me, it was sparkling citrus & berry which later became sweet woody skin scent. Even though it was not a scent I'd wear often, I really liked it.(and yes, it's weak) I wore it only a few times then keep it in my perfume cabinet. Yesterday, I was in the mood for this, I sprayed it on my wrist. The opening was the same as the time I bought it. HOWEVER, the dry down became alcoholic smell, like alcohol in cleaning products (somewhat sanitizer) and gave me headache so I need to wash it off. :'( I have no idea why the quality goes bad. Even perfumes I bought before this one still smell the same.

I wear this when I need a mental health boost, it's that good. It's a very gentle, petal-soft scent, but unfortunately doesn't have much staying power even for an eau de toilette. That said, this is a magic spell in a bottle for me. It evokes visions of an elusive unicorn wandering quietly through an enchanted forest. It is sweet and feminine, but I would not describe it as saccharine or excessively girly; it has a mysterious depth to it that adds a very slight darker edge. I should add that so far I have only ever worn this in Winter, so I've yet to experience this as a summer fragrance. I am excited to wear this year round as I am sure the seasons will do very special things with this scent.

Review by sugar&spice's daughter age 11 As a person who loves unicorns, my eye was immediately drawn to the amazing bottle- only to soon be mesmerized by the opening notes. The sweet yet fruity scent drew a smile to my face. Soon enough, I put some on my wrists. The spray nozzle is very good for it evenly dispersed the scent. I walked around town for a few hours and then went home. I could still smell the scent. It changed over time, to only get better! Overall, this is a great all-year-round fragrance. It lasts long and the sillage is at about an arm's length.

Very woodsy and pleasantly sweet. The cypress is very prominent to me, and it’s a bit clean-woodsy (like how pine can be, but much softer). There’s also the raspberry and pomelo that really stands out. It’s sugary but the peppercorn tames it, and keeps everything in check. It’s a very playful and airy scent that I think, matches the bottle beautifully. It performs well on my skin, but not excellent, will last half the day.

The opening is dominated by joyful, juicy pomelo, subtly touched with sweetness. It feels delightful, carefree, and genuinely pleasant. It settles fairly quickly into an intimate, close-to-the-skin aura, yet on fabric it lingers for a long time as a soft, enveloping sweetness with pomelo still clearly present. There is a fairy-tale magic to this composition, a sense of pure, unconditional joy.

I don’t know where did people smell cigarettes, my husband told me I smell like an angel in it. Fantasia is a perfume that has character, it’s lively, playful and intense, while sweet as well. It’s the only perfume I bought twice. And the second bottle did smell a bit different and a bit sharp. Though it stays long on skin and smells very good on clothes

Found this for around 15$ and I'm so glad I picked it up! Smells like a bubbly orange creamsicle musk to me. Sweet but not in a heavy way.

The most beautiful bottle ever... I love Unicorn

I'm a perfume collector. And by collector, I mean that I have over 500 full bottles and hundreds of samples and I spend my life going to niche perfume stores, smelling all kinds of weird things. I'll be honest - this is not the sort of juice I usually buy, especially after reading the reviews below, but the bottle was so pretty and TK Maxx had one in the clearance bin, so I could not resist trying it anyway. I was actually pleasantly surprised. While this is not the majestic, forest dwelling beast of Les Nez's "The Unicorn Spell", nor is it the sophisticated fruit-and-woods magic of "Enchanted Forest" by the Vagabond Prince, it is -- as the carousel packaging suggests - a carnival ride, carousel unicorn. Sugary and pink and dusted with glitter. I should be clear that this is not a complicated scent. It's fairly linear, although the very end-stage drydown has a just a touch more woodsy-ness than the majority of the scent's life-on-skin. However -- the scent itself is less commercial/overly chemical fruity floral (what I hate and what I was expecting) and more a simple, lovely sugared fruit. The pomelo/grapefuit note and raspberry note combine on my skin to something very close to watermelon. In fact, it's not a hundred miles away from D&G L'Imperatrice, as they both combine that opening fruity pow! -- alongside pink pepper for a bit of an edge. And they both have some subtle soft woods at the base (for Fantasia it's cypress/cedar and for L'Imperatrice it's sandalwood, but the overall impression is similar). And for both, it's the watermelon (or in this case pomelo/raspberry that is redolent of watermelon) that is front and center. Fantasia is very sweet. This is a sorbet scent and if you don't like fruit or sugar, you won't like this. The wood notes sophisticate it a little, but I wouldn't call it a sophisticated scent overall. All of that said, I like it. I may even make it a summer staple. I'm tempted now to try the mermaid one and Fantasia Forever, if I can find it.

This is the second Ana Sui scent I have tried and I have to say I find her fragrances delightful. They're not sexy, sophisticated, nuanced, luxurious scents, but they are just very enchanting. Fantasia feels youthful (but not juvenile), exuberant, playful, and sunny. Pomelo is the star here; it's very citrus-forward. Next I get the raspberry and floral notes with a touch of unripe pepper berries. I am not a gourmand lover, but the praline here is more akin to a skin accord with a light touch. The cedar and cypress are also background players, lending a deeper zing and interest in the base while still letting the lighter notes shine. Very well balanced for something a little body splashy. Staying power is about what you would expect for a citrus scent. I find Ana Sui's creations to be just darling, something like how millennials like me like to remember Bath and Body Works body splashes feeling as a child. Going back to smell those now they feel childish, but back then they felt joyful and grown up, while still feeling young and free and in the moment. That's the feeling that Ana Sui encapsulates and executes so very well. 8/10.

I've never used hairspray so I can't compare but it is a bit synthetic smelling for a hot minute. My skin type is high pH and I get a sweet sweet grapefruit (like the soda pop) then slightly powdery green notes. Yes there is a synthetic edge to it but easily blends with lactonic and vanilla heavy scents. 🤓 The reason it doesn't last long is not only because it's just an EDT strength but citruses are always the first to evaporate. Even 4711 which is a strong LEMON/rosemary cologne, evaporates in no time, especially on high pH skin. 🎓 Reminds me of how MJ's Daisy 💛 rests in my sinuses, crisp, bright yellow florals but with more tart citrus & those nice powdery green notes. 💚 🙂 I too quite like this scent. I received a mini splash bottle of this and instantly liked it. A month later I am now the proud owner of a beautiful full sized bottle. 🥰 💲💲💲 Look for a discount, not worth full price but the mini sets are! 7/10 Good perfume at the right price.

Sunshine, citrus, berries, and wood. Imagine a clear spring day at the local farmer's market. You're carrying a crisp paper sack full of fragrant grapefruit, feeling the sunshine warm your skin as you stroll past a display of juicy raspberries on a newspaper-lined table. If you just closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and smiled, then you need this fragrance in your life immediately. I usually prefer the sticky-sweet gourmands, so I wasn't expecting this to wow me since it's such a dry scent, but in this case I'm happy to be wrong. Fantasia is nice enough any time of year, especially when you need a little bit of brightness in your life, but on me it performs best as a warm-weather fragrance. Sunshine and a little bit of sweat are what pull the tart raspberry forward and round this out into something delicious and comforting. This one pleasantly surprised me.

If Ariana Grande Thank U Next had a big sister, I think this would be her; if TUN is light pink this is a deep raspberry. This smells almost entirely of raspberries to me, but with a hint of the woods that make it smell not so much like a body spray! I also don't get the sweetness everyone else smells, to me it's more tangy, not sugary at all. The longevity and sillage aren't amazing but I think this perfume could get overwhelming so I'm happy that it isn't suffocating. I got it for £8 at Lloyd's and I'm glad I picked it up, even though I hate the bottle it's a nice fragrance inside!

It smells a magical forest, the kind where you half expect to spot a unicorn between the trees. The hinoki and cypress stand out most to me, and it has a soft woody / fresh scent that I really like. Weirdly, I don't think this perfume is all that sweet. It's more peppery and earthy, but I don't mind it. When I smell it I feel calm and a bit whimsical. I really love the bottle too. Feels like something I would have gone crazy for as a kid. It's so sweet and charming and captures the fantasy of the scent itself.

Bright semi- bitter citrus, juicy raspberries, and a little bit of wood to make this perfume well rounded. This is light and fresh without being soapy or green, and sweet without being sugar or candy. The pink pepper also helps to give this a little more interest without having too many "layers" if that makes sense. So approachable, with a moderate projection. Silliage is low as the citrus does die down rather quickly. Very much a summer perfume. I like it a lot!

I actually quite enjoy this one! Its very fruity and sweet, actually a little bit peppery too. Its very fun, flirty and girly. I can understand why some may not like this one. One of my favourite perfumes is Miu Miu Leau Bleu and in my collection these have the same girlish pepperiness that I like. Very flamboyant gamine-esque. I don’t think this is a safe blind buy - but if you find it cheap its worth purchasing for the beautiful bottle!!!

Packaging is superb. I wanted this firstly because of the packaging. It sold out in the first month it enters the market in my country and I had it gifted to me from other country. The bottle is nice and sturdy. It smells sweet and moderately heavy more often than not, although in certain weather this could smell perfect and lighter. It suits a younger me more than now but I still love the bottle.

I love Anna Sui bottles! And as that being said, I bought this just for the bottle without any expectation because so far, Anna Sui fragrances lack of lasting power and projection. When I first spray it, I quite surprised that I actually like the smell. It smells fresh, citrusy, woody, and lil bit musky on me. I like it, its great, but not to the level I will use it everyday.

it's very dreamy and peppery, I get a small kind of clean linen/cotton note but that's probably just cause of how soft it is. When I first sprayed it the pink pepper was all I could smell but after letting it stay on my shelf for a bit it turned more soft and subtle which I like. Id say the top three notes are Pink Pepper, Raspberry, and Floral Notes. 8/10

I once bought 4 Fantasia knock-offs for super cheap just because of the cute bottle during COVID. It was before my journey into the world of fragrance. I tried the real Fantasia and I gotta say, the dupe really nailed it!... which means I think Fantasia smells cheap.. BUT it's not bad, very light fruity floral and a bit fresh and soapy. 6.5/10

So I bought the little mini, 20 year celebration collection. That came with 5 bottles. And this is one of them, and it smells so good, but I don't understand what I'm smelling. I like it.It's strange though I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing

A beautiful perfume, but not on my skin. My sister loves the perfume (and the bottle too). Praline is not too over powering and it's like other Anna Sui perfume; mysterious and able to use nausea inducing notes and turn it lovable for most people.

So fresh and feel like teenager wearing this. I blindly purchase based on review and I kinda like it. Not a favourite but I like it. The bottle is nice and very different from any other bottle I had. New collection added. Onelove!

SO sweet and juicy! Definitely more sour and tart than a sweeter dessert on my skin. Pairs wonderfully with my pistachio perfume oil, and thats what gets me a lot of compliments. Not to mention bottle is sooo divine!!!

Cloyingly sweet and tender with a floral note that settles pleasantly in the back of your sinuses. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this one. Tends to linger in clothing even after washing.

Poppy and fruity! In your face and fun! Sweet raspberry pairs with pomelo and praline to make scent that reminds me of pop art and 60’s nostalgia.

It just doesn't smell really good?? Like I don't hate it, at least I have a cute bottle now, but yeah I wish I listened to the more negative reviews before I blind bought, that's on me honestly. I think I wouldn't have a problem with it if it wasn't for the dissonance between its overly feminine presentation and how it really smells. The main problem for me is that I think after sitting with this one for a while I think I know what it's trying to go for, but I think it fails honestly. It's just off putting enough to not really work sadly. I did get a compliment on it once by layering it with another perfume though, but I think it was the other one overpowering this one.

You know that line in Mean Girls where Janis tells Cady that she smells like a baby prostitute? I'm pretty sure this is what Cady was wearing. It smells like a high school girl with totally fried flat-ironed bleach blonde hair, one of those Tiffany heart charm necklaces, spaghetti strap tank top, and miniskirt smoking cigarettes after school and then spraying herself with a fruity body splash so no one will notice the smoke (they do). Let's just say I did not drive two hours round trip and pay fifteen American dollars for the juice. I'm obsessed with the unicorn bottle and it'll be a perfect display piece.

THIS is how you design a perfume bottle! I bought a set of 4 Anna Sui minis - I love them all and they're the best visual addition to my perfume shelf by far. Anna Sui knows what's up. The scent itself is a bit underwhelming; it reminds me of Hawaiian Tropic body spray and doesn't last very long. It's a nice, fresh and fun tropical fruit scent - just not for me. I usually don't like the smell of synthetic/tropical fruit but this one is alright; fresh and mouthwatering. If you like playful, light and fruity fragrances, you'll love this!

Just got my bottle and this is my first review here. Anyhoo, I blind bought this since the bottle looks so pretty and really stood out from my collection. However, it smells a lot like Incanto Shine only less powerful and the pomelo notes really stand out. Longevity and Sillage are super weak that a body mist from Bath and Body works would probably out perform this. I want to love it since I'm into citrusy notes however, I'm really disappointed with this one. I hoped the bottle matches the performance but meh...

On me this is straight Light blue D&G,but little bit toned down and not long lasting.I have to reapply it as a body mist.Blind purchase dissapointment.The dissapointment comes from this that we all smelled Light blue and so many perfumes close to it that we are fed up with this aroma.,not that it is not good,but not interesting anymore.I will use it in spring.The bottle is extremely tacky in person

Very gorgeous bottle.. An unicorn on top of the bottle.. I detected very strong pineapple scent the instant I sprayed on. I was surprised there was no pineapple as any of the ingredients.. when I first sprayed on tees, it was so strong it gave me headache and made me dizzy. On the 2nd spray I sprayed it on the knitwear it was much better.. Lasted 4-6 hours on me.

Packaging alone is worth buying the scent. Scent is not my personal favourite, but has a presence. One of Escentric molecules is near identical. Dominated by pink pepper, cypress makes it unisex, raspberry adds sweetness and temperature. Pomelo dominates top, flowers heart, wood base.

Tart, woody, floral and reminded me of hairspray. This isn't my type of fragrance so I'm the wrong person to judge the nuances of it. It did have surprisingly good longevity for a citrusy floral.

Is too spicy for me, not sweet afterall :/ And not detect any sweetness scents, or is just gone with the air after few second, idk But the bottle so gorgeous, and i blind buy cause of that

All I really get on my skin from this is pomelo. Might be good if you really like citrus, but I personally don't.

I'm surprised by the lack of bad reviews, so I'll have to share my own. Like everyone else, I was drawn to this by the adorable bottle. Unfortunately the fragrance itself is pretty disappointing. At first I got that strong alcohol smell, you know the one, and then just nothing. No scent whatsoever after T+10min. After T+20min, there is a hint of fruits, but it is so faint I couldn't really say what exactly. Nothing super pleasant, pretty generic. Edit: T+60min, it seems like something slightly spicy has rising up, some sour herbs. Not great but not bad either. Raises mt opinion of the perfume. Poor longevity and scent is very very close to skin. Reading the notes, I feel like I should've liked it, but there is just not much there. Hopefully my tester was defective. Such a cute bottle sadly.

To me I get mainly fruits. I think it's the pomelo. And I've had the bottle for a year now, so it's had some time to mature, yet I still don't get the praline. It's sweet in a fruity way, not in a lactonic way as the note pyramid would suggest. There's also a slight uplifting zest to it. I would only want to wear this in sunny weather, cool or warm. Over time it doesn't evolve too much, just slightly less tang compared to first spray. I have liked Anna Sui perfumes previously, and it has a bit of that whimsical fairy-like DNA. However, I don't usually like fruit/citrus-forward perfumes like this. I prefer Sui Dreams. I will likely pass Fantasia on to someone else.

It smells like cigarettes. On me AND in the bottle. And NOT in a good way. Stale, skunky cigarettes baked into old furniture. It's so pervasive I can't even discern any thing else about this fragrance. I have two other fragrances that give me some wafts of cigarettes but weirdly it doesn't detract from the whole. They are Mon Guerlain and L de Lolita Lempicka (the one with the beautiful bottle that looks aquatic but its actually vanillas and sandalwood). I will keep Anna Sui Fantasia for the bottle and curiously sniff it from time to time wondering why some people don't smell those cigarettes.

Very antiseptic smelling- like raspberry hand sanitizer. Husband said it smelled like a doctor's office, but sexy. After about an hour of wear it fades to a skin scent on me, and now I'm left with nothing but a very faint whisper of kid's fluoride treatment. This one really does not work for me, but I think it could be a good layering scent.... I'll have to do some experimenting.

The first few minutes were pure alcohol, then all i could smell was wood and something similar to men's aftershave. It's a shame i don't like this perfume much, because I love the bottle.

Smells like cheap bodyspray from the '90s. It's nostalgic, but I would never wear this!

This is truly the most awful perfume I have ever worn. It is nauseating. The cypress is the strongest note mixed with an awful sweetness. It is so unsophisticated, the cypress and sweet notes do not go together at all. Toilet cleaner smells better than this perfume. I have poured out the perfume to keep the gorgeous little bottle

This really did smell like old cigarettes and I wish it didn't because the bottle is obviously very pretty. I even tried two different bottles and they both gave off the same rank odor.

This would be a lovely sweet, floral scent were it not for the pomelo note. That gives it an old, mildewy grapefruit peel smell that overshadows any of the other notes.
