L’Amour Rose

I own both but I prefer the 50ml edp over the 30ml edt. I really wanted this perfume but couldnt fathom the price, it was too expensive so I dutifully ordered a 5ml oil drum to test it out before biting the bullet. The good thing was that I instantly fell in love with the sweetness of the macaron and pistachio. It was playfully powdery and a bit sharp thanks to cherry blossom, not at all cloying or heavy inducing sugar comatose that I am known to wear. I found a seller willing to sell for an amazing price and now I own this in my cotton candy collection. I decided to get the 30ml from Japan because it was no longer sold under Anna Suis website at the time. I expected it to be different and it came out a florally, tamed sister. They are completely different scents, so if you find 50ml to be jejune and sweet, try the latter. I didnt care for the 30ml one at all which is sad because the cute little bow and its pink design is so adorable. For the 30ml edt the scent composition are: Top Notes: Mandarin, Cranberry, Cherry blossom Heart Notes: Peony, Magnolia, Pink pepper Base Notes: Vanilla, White cedarwood, Musk The only similarity are the cherry blossom and the musk.

I bought this in a 50 ml bottle from Chemist Warehouse for only 24 Aus dollars and it was a blind buy but I ended up liking it,yes there isn’t anything groundbreaking about this perfume but none the less it is still a very pretty sweet type fragrance,it doesn’t smell of rose but instead it smells of pretty sugary sweets but it’s not too strong or overpowering,the longevity is ok though Anna Sui fragrances in general are not very strong but overall this is still a very pretty fragrance and while it doesn’t replace Flight of fancy as my favourite Anna sui fragrance it is still a very pleasant and feminine scent.

Update: I just wanted everyone who is interested, to let you know that there is a 30ml EDT of L'Amour Rose on Anna Sui's website for $44 & $12 UPS Ground shipping if you live in the USA. The notes are some what different, there is still cherry Blossom in the EDT. I've to add that I'm surprised no one else has commented on this perfume besides me, it hurts my heart, makes me sad, because for the past year, I've been so passionate about Anna Sui perfumes. I guess no one will appreciate her perfumes like I do, which is very unfortunate. I can't wait to see the other perfumes she releases this year!

Holy moly - this is THE perfect gourmand fragrance. I'm surprised that there aren't many reviews for this scent. I feel like I'm siting on top of a cotton candy cloud eating a platter of macaroons, yet the sweetness isn't overpowering, it isn't sickly sweet (think of Jessica Simpson's Fancy). This is one of the few perfumes where I can actually smell each individual ingredient. I also found this for a steal - only $20. I know this particular perfume can be hard to find but if you can make sure you snatch a bottle up! 4 out of 5 stars

i first found out about Anna Sui when i saw her “Forbidden affair” perfume 2 years ago which is still in my wish list and i was ecstatic when i got this perfume which i had blind bought this perfume smells like sweets/candy it’s a playful scent i can definitely smell the orange and candy floss in this. this goes so well with a vanilla body spray on top if you really want that “candy” atmosphere also it’s so cheap???? i got 75ml for about £15 and for a scent this good??? wow i am shocked cannot wait to buy more Anna Sui fragrances

I love this girl ( Anna Sui ) But there comes a time where enough is enough! FOURTH FRAGRANCE OF 2016! Just take all my money Anna Sui, until I seriously have nothing left. I just got over how bad I wanted Romantica Exotica for months, now here we go again for round 2 already!? With L'amour Rose, and here I was complaining that she didn't release enough perfumes in one years time. Maybe I will get 5 perfumes a year from her after all....

This is my first Anna Sui, and it was love at first sniff!! And, I smell as a macaron =)) And, the bottle is beautiful as well :))

it was hard to find so I ended up paying a bit more than I think its worth but overall, for what I paid (65$/75ml) its not a bad deal. Not great, but not bad either. Just ok. Thoughts: This is my boyfriends favourite one out of all my new perfumes. He said that its super versatile, great for daytime wear. Smells clean but also sweet. Nice for office. Personally, I definitely don’t love it as much as he does. To me- all I can smell is a soapy bubble bath. Literally- think: you’re running a bath for your kids with those cheesy children’s bubble bath. Sweet, clean smelling but really syntethic and soapy. It’s not a bad smell, but not something that I want to smell like all the time. However, I do think it will be nice in the summer time when I don’t want anything too sweet. Honestly would be nice for a rainy fall/spring day. I blind bought this one and was so excited for it, but its really not what I expected. I honestly mostly bought it for the base note of cotton candy (im obsessed with cotton candy). I’m going to keep trying it out and seeing if I can pick up more of the cotton candy notes and get more insight into the dry down and longevity, but as for my first impression; seriously just a kids bubble bath. Sums it up perfectly. Soapy, sweet, clean and comforting. Great for day-time, definitely wouldn’t wear this going out. It does have nice projection as well.

I bought this blind based on the notes. It doesn't smell like roses at all, but it does smell very 'pink’. IMO it smells like fresh cotton candy. I expected it to be much sweeter and maybe a bit cloying, but it's surprisingly airy and clean. I don't think it suits winter/cold weather that much, so I'm looking forward to testing this in warmer weather. The longevity and sillage are meh, but for the price I can't really complain. It costs about $25 for 50 ml where I live .

Smells like a clean but sweet. Pretty girly for casual wear.

This is very pretty and fluffy. I suspect that it’s a pistachio macron rather than separate notes and I can smell that and the cotton candy clearly. I can also smell wood, despite it not being listed..... I’d say maybe cashmere as it reminds me of the soft wood in Jimmy Choo that goes a touch pencil-shavings on my skin! I suspect some of the reviews below are for the EDT which is in an almost identical bottle and has no macaroons or cotton candy, but the edp definitely does!

I've been waiting years for the opportunity to purchase this fragrance. I was expecting a fruity sweet gourmand fragrance, but all I get is rose and citrus. No sweet cotton candy. No nutty macaron and pistachio. This isn't gourmand and it's more tangy than sweet. There's no rose note listed, but it's there somehow. L'Amour Rose is mimosa, rose, and musk. That's it.

L’Amour Rose by Anna Sui is a very light, musky, neroli scent that is pleasantly fragrant; however, it reminds me of an air freshener my mother kept in her bathroom. Once my mind made that comparison, I couldn’t bring myself to wear it.

I bought it extremely cheap on valentines day sale. Blind ordered becouse I read the notes. Smells off, the color of the liquid is purple instead of pink. I think they just sold me an out of date perfume....😟 All I smell is rose and water, plus not pleasant flowers. Disappointed... but as I said probably becouse out of date. EDIT: I made a few google search and figured out what is the problem. I got the Paris version not the original Lamour Rose.😦😦😦 That's why its soooo different! Seems like Fragrantica haven't got all the flankers listed. Its really not my taste its fresh rose. I waited for the sweet cotton candy, macaron notes😭 The projection is surprisingly good for the price...So the brand is good I would say. Now I HAVE TO hunt down the Lamour Rose.

Wow!! What a lovely smell!!! Anna Sui Dreams is a perfume I've probably been most complimented on, out of everything I've worn, especially by men. This new one has a similar vibe to it but is not the same as Dreams. All the notes smell heavenly together. Such a feminine clean smell. I love the pistachio and the cherry blossom. It's an unusual smell, it is a little powdery but I like that. When I smelt it I got this image of white fluffy clouds and feathers or fluffy clean towels. It's just very pretty, delicate and clean smelling. I get a little of the cotton candy in the dry down but it's not over powering. Now I'm intrigued to see if it gets as many compliments as Anna Sui Dreams. It really is lovely and very different. I can't stop sniffing my wrist!! This is a fairly new release so it's popularity hasn't yet been realised here in the UK. I'm sure that will change though and the price will go up. The Perfume Shop are selling 50mls Eau de parfum for £12.99 at the moment. Won't stay at that price for long though. Wonder why it's called L'Amour Rose when there's no rose in it? Hmmm. Still lovely though and smells amazing on clothes as well.

I came across this a couple weeks ago here on fragrantica and thought the notes sounded cute.. Then randomly came across it in a store today for $20! There was no tester but figured I couldn't go wrong for that price. First spray was sweet-powdery smelling, the dry down is actually a lot nicer than I thought it'd be. It's very sweet, I can definitely smell the cherry blossom and a bit of cotton candy in there, as well as a hint of something else? It almost reminds me of Katy Perrys Mad Love, even though there's no strawberry or coconut listed in this. I wouldn't repurchase this as there's other more complex perfumes I'd like to buy/rebuy, but I'm happy with this blind buy. Plus the bottle is super cute to have on display too :)

It’s a cheap and cheerful fruity floral scent, delicate and girly. It opens with mandarin that has a lightly candied character, likely thanks to macaron and pistachio notes. Later on, florals come to the forefront, while the base reveals musk sweetened with a hint of candy floss. Longevity is around three to four hours and the projection is rather soft, but at this price point you can happily reapply as often as you like. It’s a safe blind buy, perfect for everyday wear and the office.

Now, I have one! EDT 30ml. Very cute fruity scent at first, but it goes soft and pretty scent. I also feel powdery. Not so strong that I can use anytime anywhere. I want EDP, too.

Anna Sui L'AMOUR ROSE edp, to my nose, smells almost identical to the original VERA WANG PRINCESS (purple bottle). I'd say, nearly an exact dupe. I love it!

Smells literally like soap bubbles in a bubble bath very musky sweet soapy in a sweet luminous way like little kids make up set. Very cute
