Romantica

Found this beauty for an absolute steal at Marshall's (first time I've ever seen an Anna Sui perfume there, while prowling for bargains and discontinued gems) but I digress... I agree with others that this one does start out with a shampoo like floral scent, but unlike most everyone else.... I really like the smell. Who doesn't want to smell fresh and clean (especially on days when you HAVEN'T showered.) The initial blast is a soapy rose/peony/grapefruit cloud, a bit intense at first but soon settles down and you get the sweetness from the pomegranate coming through.It projects well and smells quite charming as the day goes on...it lasts for hours! The drydown is so pretty, though. You still get that sweet smelling rose and peony, but it is now joined with an alluring jasmine and some soft sandalwood. Making you want to sniff your wrist over and over because you smell so good. The name Romantica is quite appropriate, I think. I could see this being romantic in a young love kind of way. It does have a youthful feel to it, in my opinion. But that is not meant to discourage anyone of any age from wearing it, it is only the feeling it evokes in me when I experience it. I really, really enjoy this. I received many compliments so the sillage is great too. Not groundbreaking, but still quite lovely,fun and easy to wear.

I have been smelling Delina vibes ALL DAY! Although not as sophisticated and well blended, I definitely smell it all around me! After my shower today I put on VS Scandalous lotion and sprayed Romantica generously. I keep on smelling my wrist and I cannot tell the difference honestly! I look forward to wearing this in the upcoming season!!!!!

Smells a lot like soapy shampoo (maybe Pantiene?), a common clean scent that I've likely smelled many times before in products. Easy crowd pleaser. It projects at arm's length+, it's def feminine. This is my second time trying it and I like it more this time. Crisp, fresh, clean, and very young, good for people 10-20 years old, daytime in Spring for sure, it might be too strong for Summer? It'd be a relatively safe blind buy for someone younger trying out perfumes. I can't detect any individual fruits, but it does have a bit of that fresh sporty perfume vibe. I don't think it smells too artificial or too natural. The florals are nice but again I can't really detect any individual floral. I usually love orange blossom/neroli, Pink Peony, Jasmine, osmanthus (in V&R Flowerbomb), and certain types of roses. I don't smell any woods yet. It's doesn't smell like D&G's Light Blue like others have voted, but def in the same family. It's not my usual type of perfume (I prefer more fruit with my fruity floral scents) as it's a bit too white floral for me, but I can see why people would really like this. A perfume like this would make me more open to trying floral perfumes. I like it but I wouldn't buy it or keep if gifted. The longevity is AMAZING, it's been almost 24 hours and it's still on my skin! It smells a bit more like a mature women's/bathroom scent now, it's still nice.

Lovely clean smelling soapy citrusy floral. Lots of notes going on but overall this is pretty and light, it has that instantly recognisable Anna Sui feel to it. A nice pick for a warm spring day. However, I don’t find this very long lasting. I have both this and Romantica Exotica, and I find that this almost gone after an hour or so, whereas Romantica Exotica is very noticeable on me for hours. I prefer the scent of RE to this; this is a bit less interesting for me and coupled with the lack of longevity if I had to choose I would pick RE. That’s not to say I don’t like this one, it’s a clean, fresh and pretty but not overpowering scent which would make a nice gift for a young person’s first ‘real’ perfume. The bottle is beautiful- light pink glass with gold patterns (Anna Sui is the master of gorgeous quirky bottles in my opinion!) The cap is heavy and metal too which is a nice touch, makes this feel more luxurious and expensive than it is. A like for me.

This smells so good, I'm definitely becoming an Anna Sui fan! I love the peony and pomegranate in this scent, it falls into the fresh/clean category according to my nose anyway. I definitely pick up on the shampoo impression that some have mentioned, and I love how this smells in my hair more than most other fruity florals I have. Everything about this scent is beautiful: the smell, the pretty pink juice and the bottle is exquisite. I wish it lasted a bit longer on skin but it smells so good that it's worth spraying more frequently; this is one I will definitely purchase in a larger size. One of my favorite fruity florals to wear and so far my favorite Anna Sui.

A soft floral scent. It's pleasant, but not original. Smells a little synthetic. Resembles the smell of flower scented shower products or fabric softener. It doesn't smell like a fresh bloom. It's very concentrated with all the notes squished together. I can't really pick them apart. The longevity is ok. I like the dry down better since it just smells warm and sweet and less synthetic. I find it sweet and feminine if worn with a small amount, however too much would be nauseating. I personally don't hate it, but can totally live without it. I own a 4ml sample and do not intend to purchase a large bottle.

This is a pretty floral fragrance, but nothing about it stands out as interesting or intriguing. I got the 4ml mini splash bottle, and oh my word, this little bottle is so adorable that I might just start a mini collection! Anyway, back to the juice: I do get the shampoo vibes others mentioned, and it’s giving me HUGE nostalgic vibes but from when, where, and what, I couldn’t tell you. I think this would make a great scent for a little girl just getting into fragrances. As an edt it’s not going to overwhelm or last forever, and the bottle, at any size, is beautiful and sure to impress.

3 years after my first review, I found a 50mL bottle on Amazon for $13 and thought what the heck. This time I really smelled the florals, mostly jasmine. Still sweet, warm, synthetic and one-dimensional. The bottle like the scent also has a sweet, romantic and whimsical charm. Anna Sui fragrances are not known for high taste and sophistication, but it’s never repulsive. They cater more to the younger crowds. I don’t hate this. It reminds me of youth and naïveté. It has the same feel as flower princess by Vera Wang and Lanvin Marry Me.

On my skin, opening was crowd-pleaser -pleasant-generic-fresh-floral-fruity-pinkish-shampoo-vibes.. nice, but not too special for my liking.. plus a bit synthetic, but it will pass as time goes by.. Luckily i was waiting for the drydown.. it surprisingly turns into much-much more intriguing smell.. It become muskier & a lil' bit vanilic.. more "grown up"-smelling than the top notes.. The longevity is superb, more than 12 hours, the sillage is about 1.5-2 meters radius.. While long-lasting, it never cloying.. it stays relatively fresh while very slowly turns into a skin-scent.. As for the bottle? Adorable as always.. ^^

I never liked this kind of perfume. I thoght it too linear, boring, just sweet, cheap, girly body spray. But i found some men around me loved this scent. I hadn't have such experience with my fav frags. So i enjoyed this with pleasure hh. Now i think it smells girly, sweet in a good way. It smells so clean and bodywashlike that It's never-offensive even when i overspray for mistake.

Why does this remind me of very sexy? The hortensia I guess!

The second I sprayed Romantica on my skin, my first thought was shampoo. Sadly I am finding the Anna Sui brand to be more and more generic with every year. Romantica opens with a very sharp grapefruit accord followed by peony, bergamot and osmanthus. On my skin Romantica smells quite bitter and synthetic, however this may just be due to my skin chemistry. This fragrance does tend to be quite linear. For the most part Romantica smells clean and fruity. It would be ideal for those that want to smell like a citrusy shampoo or shower gel. Here in Australia the Anna Sui fragrances have been relegated to the discount stores. Unfortunately the two Anna Sui fragrances that I really enjoy Anna Sui EDT and Flight of Fancy are becoming harder and harder to find. They have been replaced by the lack-luster fragrances that Anna Sui is sadly becoming known for.

Floral and fruity, it transforms from sweet to sour to subtle pomegranate. I think it's the osmanthus. very pleasant. I wish i had a bigger bottle! mine is a splash-on sample. i would love to douse my clothing in this when you think “perfume,” this is what comes to mind. floral, sweet, aromatic. safe blind buy for anyone who likes fruity florals. however i can't help but feel there's something dark about its aroma edit 12/13; as i was wearing this today, I suddenly smelled the ink of a ballpoint pen. I don't know what it is, but this has somewhat of an inky smell. It's nice!

this parfume suits well with me, it smell like a fresh bloom and long lasting on my skin. eventhough i spray it in the morning n do a lot of activity untill evening, the smell of parfume still on my skin n surprisedly my sister asked me "what parfume you use? u smell very fresh even u have a long day". wanna buy it again. :)

a friend of mine had this perfume and it has a dreamy shampoo kind of smell, but it's still super basic. if you haven't smelled this ever, just imagine japanese cherry blossom mixed with girly coconut shampoo and that's what it smells like.

smells like shampoo..Longevity was okay on my skin but i don't like the sillage.

Reminds me a bit of D&G light blue
