I had been dying to try this fragrance, and when I finally got my hands on a sample, it did not disappoint. This opens so juicy and fruity-fresh with that pear; in fact, just from the opening alone I was worried that this was just going to be a super generic fruity floral (which is of course great and pleasant, just not exactly what I wanted from this after reading the notes). However, the dry down is where this perfume really shines. The lily of the valley and lotus notes give it this airy, watery, and sky-like quality (hence the name, I’m assuming) while the rose adds this hyper-feminine, almost princess kind of vibe. Finally, the popcorn is evident right when those florals start to come out (at least to my nose) and it only grows stronger as the fragrance continues to warm and develop on the skin. Overall, the popcorn actually gives this scent a delicious spring-time gourmand quality that I’m completely obsessed with! Without that accord, I do believe this fragrance would fall under that super generic fruity floral umbrella. Again, nothing wrong with those—I love an easygoing fruity floral as much as the next person, but when I saw this had a note of popcorn, I was hoping it would bring something a little extra to the table, and it definitely does in my opinion. Sky doesn’t last as long as say Angel by Mugler or Poison by Dior (I’d say the lasting power is much closer to that of one of the longer lasting celebrity or Victoria’s Secret fragrances, so you’ll get more wear time on clothes) nor is it going to project like crazy. However, considering how gorgeous the bottle and the juice inside is, I do plan on purchasing a full-sized bottle of this once I’ve gone through my sample (if I can find it on a good sale, at least) and I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a light, airy gourmand for the spring.

Huh. So, I blind-bought this because like others, I coveted the bottle. I’ve always loved hot air balloons and the bottle does not disappoint. It looks adorable on my perfume shelf, it’s also a very clever and efficient design. The fragrance though... I don’t know man. It smells like a laundromat for the first 10 minutes (dry-cleaning, borax, some lady wearing a body spray) then it transitions into an extremely realistic salted popcorn scent. I don’t really get pear, vanilla, or rose at all. It’s not horrible, it doesn’t give me a headache, but it’s weird, and not in a cool, artsy way... it’s just weird in a weird way. What I will say about it is the projection/longevity is better than expected. It’s actually almost a little overpowering, it seems to upstage anything I try to layer it with. Keep this one in mind if you really, really want to smell like clean popcorn. 7/10

I bought a sample pack off of ebay, and I just received them, and I am very impressed. If you like her previous perfumes, I am sure you will like Sky. It is more floral than Fantasia Forever. When you first spray Sky, you can smell the popcorn, then it comes into the floral notes, and I smell all three floral notes, Lily of The Valley, Rose, and Lotus coming together, making a wonderful combination. I also smell a slight pink pepper, but it's not too intense, I do get undertones of the musk and vanilla coming in as well, not too heavy just right. This perfume was blended really well. I can't wait until I can get a full bottle of this. I have been a Anna Sui Fragrance Fan for 9 years now, and have had most of the perfumes she has released in the past. This perfume would do best in the Summer Heat. Scent wise I do prefer Fantasia Forever, over Sky.

I happened to spray it on tonight, a hot summer night and it has totally transformed from the watery fragrance I disliked last year. Thank god I kept it. It’s buttery lily of the valley, salty and sweet like kettle corn and perfectly blended with the musk. A few minutes in and it’s a little green like freshly watered grass and dandelions. Replica Funfair Evening was similar. Could be a fun date night perfume, reminds me of a night market. Ideal in hot weather, doesn’t smell the same in winter.

FRESHLY CUT FLOWERS This formula smells exactly like a freshly cut bouquet of flowers. Photorealistic in nature as a crisp, clean, bright, gently floral-green scent. Once again I am impressed by Anna Sui formulas. Lovely lovely perfume. EDIT: LoL my brother said I smell like a sweet dill pickle. 🥒🤣 He's not exactly wrong but damm I guess I'm a star with my vinegar loving friends. I happen to love bread & butter pickles and how they smell. 9/10 Fantastic green + floral scent

I love this one soo much and it last on my skin for 7 hours. The fruity airy opening with pear really suits with the buttery popcorn. The popcorn notes really pointed out on my skin and it is not sticky heavy popcorn like dior that I hate but this one is airy butter popcorn. I am not disappointed at all

I purchased this fragrance when it was first released but never wore it past testing it. Today I decided to give it a real wear and my mind was blown. I can’t really judge how this has done on my skin, but on my clothes, I’m going on 12 hours and the scent is still strong and beautiful to be a EDT.

Absolutely in love with this scent but unfortunately last a couple minutes really weak If anyone knows of a dupe or anything that smells really a like please can you help out love this scent its my favourite perfume but longevity doesn't exist please help 😢 🙏

Oh, she's pretty. A bit basic of a light floral, but the popcorn note adds some fun- it's unbuttered and dry, so it doesn't venture into any gourmand/food territory. Fleeting and soft.

It is so pleasant and delicate... As fragrance it is love for me but longevity is poor - after 1 hour it was completely gone :( I'll wait few weeks and will use more sprays next time.

It smells like a sweet, kinda fruity baby powder to me! It's clean, powdery, sweet and my bf likes it :) one of my faves!

I called the Anna Sui Boutique in New York, and I was told this perfume wasn't coming out until next year.

I usually dislike sweet scents, but this one is a pastel pink and sweet scent. It took me to test it several times in the store before deciding whether to buy it or not and I decided to take the plunge when there was a RM60 discount for the 50ml bottle with an extra 15ml decant. Initially it smelled like a foresty, flower field quite similar to Jo Malone's Wild Bluebell cologne. But as my nose got used to it, it smelled sweeter and saccharine but in a mild, inoffensive way, and I also began to notice the popcorn note. It smells nothing like Wild Bluebell anymore. It's a very dreamy, pastel funfair-in-the-clouds sort of scent, almost nostalgic like an innocent childhood dream. Sunlight, cotton clouds and a dolled-up carefree vibe to me. It's very much a day scent and a good balance of cool and warm to be used in the tropical weather of Malaysia - works well both on sunny and rainy days. The song that plays in my head when I smell this is 近くて遠いゆめ by kukui, given its sweet, whimsical tune. It's not on the top of my favourite list because sweet scents are just a "like" for me, but I wear it pretty often when I go out with friends, and it has a fairly good sillage, and lasts for around 4 hours before becoming a skin scent, a bit longer if on my clothes. I am glad I got this instead of Cosmic Sky which I was tempted to blind buy due to the pretty bottle, but was glad I didn't because Cosmic Sky was absolutely headache-inducing. Sky (I absolutely love the hot air balloon design) sits prettily on my dresser and is also a scent I often reach for. Fun, whimsical, and the one sweet scent that I actually like.

Bought this blind partly because I couldn't find a sample and really wanted to try it, but I'd be lying if I said that wanting this gorgeous bottle gracing my shelf wasn't a larger factor in my decision to buy. Fortunately this blind buy has been a success! It's a very, very pretty scent. 'Pretty' may not sound particularly exciting but I think it's the perfect word to describe Sky. It's gentle and innocent and a little whimsical. The pear and floral notes mix together beautifully! Initially I was a little disappointed after first spraying this because the popcorn was entirely absent but lo and behold it brings its way to the surface after leaving it to dry down and brings this warm, gorgeous, slightly salty note into the mix which I love, particularly since popcorn evokes a sense of comforting nostalgia in me. That being said, the longevity and sillage is very poor. I sprayed this on my wrist less than an hour ago and now I can only smell it if I practically press my nose against my skin and sniff aggressively like a detection dog at an airport. I may try this on moisturised skin to see if the longevity improves. Very pretty scent with a gorgeously fun bottle that is sadly let down by its lack of potency and punch. Don't regret my purchase, though!

Ok, so I had it sitting on my shelf for two years now because I regretted buying this. At first, it smells indeed like many of the reviews have been saying: generic, sharp, bathroom cleaner, no popcorn. But! I sprayed it again today, and wow! What a difference it makes to let perfumes mature a bit. Indeed the sweet innocent floral is still there, however this fades after an hour as usual. But guess who decided to make an appearance? THE BUTTERY POPCORN! a smell I have never smelled before has finally showed up. I sprayed on clothing and one spray on my wrist. The wrist is the only place the popcorn makes an appearance so maybe it's a heat/skin thing? It's coming to the end of winter here and spraying this makes me look forward to the sunny days to come where I cannot wait to use it. For warm days I prefer cologne-strength perfumes as the idea of the spraying liberally often several times throughout the day makes it refreshing. I gravitated to this because I doubted whether to buy Fleur de Himalaya from Rituals, also another great warm vacation scent. But heaven sent this hot air balloon! This will definitely be my go to as it is the perfect transition from gourmand back to floral.

I purchased a powder box from the Ana Sui website and I also received a sample of Sky. I liked it a lot, so I purchased a 75ml bottle. When I tried the sample I thought it smelled nice and didn't think much about it. As the day went on, the fragrance blossomed into something else entirely. It started very juicy and sweet with pear which was nice, not too sugary but over all nothing I blinked at. Then as some time past I thought " Oh wow I smell kinda fancy!" as the lotus and Lilly set in. Later on, I said "What smells good?" Completely forgetting I put it on. "Its me!" The musk and peppercorn had sunken in. It went from cute and innocence to spicy and sexy. I thought this is perfect for a date. The sillage and longevity are close to none, unfortunately (its EDT), but that is my only real complaint.

Upon first spray the first thing that comes to my mind are those old fashioned paper perfume samples you get in magazines, like how they all smell like the paper more than any kind of particular perfume. This is defiantly a slow burn kind of perfume for me. While when I first spray it I'm not very impressed I do find that after it bakes into my skin it develops more sweetness and depth. I unfortunately don't pick up any popcorn notes. I get lot of lily of the valley, pink pepper and aquatic notes. I am a true floral lover and really don't enjoy aquatic smells but this perfume is redeeming with its clear lily notes. Makes me think of a cheaper and less fruity version of Perfect by Marc Jacobs. This is one you are buying more for the cool bottle but all around an incredibly average scent. 6/10

Sky was a blind buy for me based on the notes and the bottle. It's very whimsical and unique. I've been waiting a long time for this fragrance to be available in the US. It was probably my most anticipated fragrance. I bought a full bottle from StrawberryNet thanks to @Fairymask and it shipped from California. I think Sky is a citrus floral scent that's a little sweet, but starts with a spicy note. I don't smell roses, so the floral notes must be lily-of-the-valley and lotus flowers. It's not gourmand and I don't detect the popcorn note, not even in the drydown. Sky is going to look pretty in my collection, but I probably won't wear it often because of the heavy citrus.

I surprisingly like this one! I want to keep it simply for the bottle and the "atmospheric" fragrance it has. I can't see myself wearing it. However, it's very whimsical and reminds me of the "twee" era. This scent was very loved by my niece. It’s gourmand but not cloying. The popcorn is such a fun scent. It’s buttery and kettle corn like. It definitely is dreamy like drifting through the clouds. It’s floaty— cotton candy like. The best way to describe it is it reminds me of the song: September’s Rhyme by S.J. Tucker. It also reminds me of the Pierrot artwork by Mira Fujita.

So, everytime I was visiting Action I was stopping by just to try out this one out of pure curiosity since Anna Sui is not popular here in Poland, I was surprised. Whole scent falls into very girly-youthful category, starts out very watery (probably lotus and pear) and slowly fades into lily-of-the-valley with musk combination (with a hint of girly rose) and lotus keeps this composition fresh/watery. Not sure about the popcorn and vanilla, there's something "kind-of-edible" lingering very far in this composition, but the fresh flowers dominate.

It's the blind buy full size bottle for me as I really love the hot balloon bottle but sadly I can't find it in the store in my country. The opening smell like Burberry Her Blossom to me and it smells like that for about 30 mins then after that the scent went more subtle with the note of fruity, bergamot and somehow salty popcorn scent and lasts for skin scent for like 2-3 hours. The salty popcorn scent is cool but somehow I don't think I'm gonna use this perfume that much but the bottle is so irresistable for a fan of cute things.

I may be anosmic to this? I don't really smell much when I spray it and the drydown is kind of an intimate skin scent. I do get slight florals and popcorn but the scent to me reminds me of sweet grasses and a really faint musk that takes me back to my childhood when I was a little fat diabetic child playing outside in the grass. I feel like my sweat smelled that way. Sometimes my dogs faintly smell like this when they've rolled around in the grass, weeds, and all the little wild flowers growing in the yard.

I do think this is a interesting one, I never thought I'd like Anna Sui's fragrances! the bottle is stunning one of best design I have seen so far ~ Thought it would be a extremely sweet floral, but it is not! the popcorn notes merged into a salty buttery popcorn notes!!! the popcorn accord is similar with the one used in Miss Dior Cherie 2005, but they do not smell the same~ just the salty buttery popcorn accord smells quite similar to my nose~~ with the price of Sky I am very happy to get a bottle!

The box of the perfume is very beutiful and massive,the bottle is not pretty.On a picture it looks better.The aroma is very nice.It is dry sweet,if this makes scense.On my skin it smells very similar to Bellisima Blumarine and Bellisima intense.i love them and niss them and was searching something similar.I bought blind SKY and i am very happy.I wish it was longer lasting though.Very good for warm weather.

Freshly applied, it smells like any generic perfume. It's pleasant but not in anyway mindblowing. However, my favorite about this is its dry down. It's delicious and sweet but not overpowering. Surprisingly, this lasts around 2-3 hours on me which is better than what I was expecting based on the reviews I've read. It still has weak longevity, mind you, but it's pretty affordable and would not break bank.

After a few days of wearing heavier vintage perfumes, my nose thanked me for Sky. Soft and tender, does not assault my sinuses. Fragrance exactly as described: starts out with light, fresh pear, then warms down into popcorn. A delightful combination, one of those fragrances that makes you want to eat yourself. This is my first Anna Sui fragrance and now I want to try all the others.

This is my fav perfume for the spring and summer!! I used to hate spring because I thought it was boring but this perfume actually makes me love spring. It’s like flowers but still keeps the vanilla-ish scent I’m obsessed with having in the perfumes I use. Would definitely recommend. Definitely a day time scent and literally perfect for spring days 🌸🌸🌸

Anna Sui never disappointed me with her bottle design. How pretty and genius. This also a kind of scent that I'm looking for. The combination of Popcorn, Lily-of-the-Valley and Rose is heavenly gorgeous. I don't mind to collect every size of it. Unfortunately, the scent doesn't last long on me. I really hope it has an EDP edition.

Unpopular opinion, but I like this a lot. Completely agree that the longevity could be improved, but there's something about this fragrance that is really mystical and dreamy, yet fun. The bottle is also beautiful.

I really love the scent, if only it lasted longer. 5/5 on the scent itself but 2/5 on longevity. Because of that and its expensive price , it's only a like for me. Love her bottle designs though.

This is very pretty. Light floral with a dry airy popcorn that makes it unique. I would not consider this gourmand, more soapy. It's very soft, feminine, and clean.

On my skin this is great :-) long lasting and gorgeous 😍 for a cheapie this is rather nice, and I can smell the popcorn 🍿:-)

This is very pretty; it is an elegant fragrance and good for work or anything during the day. Also, the bottle rocks.

I feel like a soft powdery vanilla scent. Interesting that popcorn is used.

My initial reaction of this was that it smelled exactly like the tiny perfume bottles in my great aunts jewellery box that had been sitting there for well over two decades... A very sharp, almost offensive floral smell hit me for a few minutes. After I came back from my childhood flashback that initial intensity wore off a little bit, but the floral smell was still giving me great-aunt Greta vibes, and it very much reminded me of my amazing grandmother too, that made me a little emotional since I lost her just a year ago... However, that does not mean I want to smell like a 70 year old lady when I go out to get ice cream with my boyfriend! It took a few hours for me to actually appreciate the notes in this fragrance and feel more comfortable with the thought of putting this on before I go out on a sunny spring day. It was still floral, but not in a grandma fashion, just fresh, fun and refreshing. How there’s a popcorn note in this I can’t figure out for the life of me, maybe those Genovian pear-popcorns, but it is definitely not the popcorn I’m eating at any movie premieres, that’s for certain. I’ll keep giving this one a shot for a few more days, and I’ll make sure to try it on a warmer day (whenever that happens here in the northern woods of Scandinavia)

First impression here: I just got it as mostly a blind buy, since it was 8 euros at action, searched fragrantica, saw the bottle, bought it. It reminds me of miu miu l'eure blue, which I could not get myself to like because of the weird tingly spicy-ness. I don't think it's the lily of the valley, since I do like that scent by itself, but it might be, since I also didn't like Jo malones bluebell enough to keep it (gave it to someone whose skin chemistry it matches better). This one is not as bad or as strong, I get more of a floral note. Still waiting for the dry down, but I think layering it with a strong caramel, vanilla, or musk, might make it beautiful. Currently however, it's too cold for this scent. I do think this would smell good on a guy as well, though it leans more feminine. If it was in a different bottle, I would probably consider it unisex, but I don't know the dry down yet.

I bought a mini of this to test. I really wanted to love this, as the bottle is so different and pretty. I was pretty delighted to see a popcorn note. However... The scent to me is super boring. I Don't get any popcorn. To me this starts a bit citrussy with a hint of undefined fruit, accompanied with some aquatic lotus, fresh lilly of the valley and uninspiring not sweet rose. Drydown is slightly powdery, I like it's powdery touches the most, although they don't really play a big part in this scent. The scent overall is inoffensive, light and performs poorly. I am hoping that the new flanker with Pear and ambrette can be more to my liking, as I really really want to display that pretty bottle, but I just can't justify picking it up for just a pretty bottle.

Let's face it, we all fell for the bottle! Gorgeous packaging, couldn't resist! I bought it as a blind-buy, and sure it was pretty in my perfume collection. But the fragrance itself, it was mostly roses for me, I couldn't smell much of anything else. When you've had one perfume with notes of rose, I feel like that's all you are going to be able to smell in other perfumes with notes of rose. It's a cute design and I bet that the fragrance will fit almost everyone between the ages of 15 and 100+, because I felt like it's not limited to a certain age, flirty and fun. Even though I wouldn't touch it again.

The scent of this fragrance is a bit disappointing. I definitely get the popcorn note and the pear note in this which is a bit of a strange combination, the longevity and sillage is also a bit dire. I’m still on the fence with whether I like it, I don’t hate it but I’m not sure it’ll be something I reach for when the season is right. The bottle however, I absolutely love. It sits in my collection lovely and looks pretty. I wish the scent matched the grandeur of the bottle. Scent: 2/10 Projection: 4/10 Longevity: 7/10 Versatility: 6/10 Price (at full price): 7/10 Overall: 5.2/10

thank goodness i found this on sale finally because i came very close to blind buying at full price.....and its literally nothing but run-of-the-mill florals..!!! with very poor performance even! nothing resembled popcorn to me, not on skin nor on clothes. on my skin it was absorbed literally within 5 minutes, not an exaggeration. after i doused my shirt i could smell it a little while sitting at the computer, faded quickly still. so disappointed. its the most beautiful bottle of anything i own - maybe i should just never use it again so it stays full of pretty pink juice ^^;

💲I got this in a set of minis, I’d say it breaks down to ~ $14 a piece. 👃 The scent to me, smells like a light cologne, or “splash.” I don’t detect any sweetness, only the tiniest amount of powdery floral. It’s very aquatic; I mostly get only the lotus, but I think it’s probably the bergamot which is nudging it over into cologne territory. I would confidently categorize this as unisex. Do not expect the scent to last any longer than 1.5hrs. You will need to pour it on liberally and bring some along for reapplication because it evaporates into nothing, not a trace.

Review is for my future reference- I got 2 samples with an Anna Sui order. The scent is okay, its a daytime spring scent. It kind of reminds me of Daisy-floral with a little pepper. The popcorn is a scent I wouldn't think to add, but its very light and kind of fun. I wouldnt buy this for myself, and I would probably sell if gifted it-too floral and I could def get a similar body spray for much cheaper at the mall. Nothing special, but then again I'm not big into florals. very cute bottle. It makes me want to try more popcorn scents.

it's nice! honestly was gravitated towards trying this because of how cute the bottle design looked, and it is accurate to the smell, like something floaty and of sweet nature?..... but the thing is, in where i reside, the public toilets use somewhat of the same smelling smell of toilet fragrance fresheners, and all i can be reminded of is that. was hoping to try so many more anna sui frags but am worried it will turn out the same 🥶 i end up spraying this around my room just to use up my decant.

I neither like or dislike this perfume... it’s perfume. A generic floral that I’d buy for my younger members of the family as a “first perfume”. It lasts longer than I thought, but I don’t get popcorn or anything sweet, just floral and maybe a bit of pear. I really only bought this for the bottle, but I’m even disappointed with that! In person it just seems a bit tacky. I don’t know, just generally disappointed in this as a whole. It may be cheaper than most, but save your money.

Bought at a huge clearance discount and I'm glad I did because now I use it as a bathroom spray. I'm quite disappointed not only because the packaging is stunning, but also because Anna Sui La Nuit de Boheme used to be one of my signature fragrances. Quite a few of her newer fragrances like Sky seem to be a lot less long lasting than before and one dimensional in terms of scent (pear and floral in this one is just too overpowering).

Weird and not great. Bottle is amazing and that’s 100% why I wanted it on the shelf. Pear note is acrid and the popcorn gives it dirty undertones. Overshadowing this is an unpleasant artificial sweetness. Fade down is much nicer but not worth wearing. I’m glad I don’t want to wear this as I’d hate to deplete it as it’s beautiful as a full bottle.

I bought this really just for the super cute and unique bottle! Anna Sui never disappoints with packaging. However the scent inside smells like an early 2000s bomb went off, and is artificial, sweet, and a bit unpleasant. Not to mention this has absolutely no staying power whatsoever. What a bummer of a perfume in such a beautiful bottle.

Beautifully generic, but pretty and soft. I really liked it at first whiff. It's not a heavy fragrance. Unfortunately I get the worst migraines from smelling even a tiny bit on my wrist. I've tried it on several different occasions with the same result. Had to scrub it off, but the headache lingers.
