Black Stone

A lovely dark Oud fragrance with a clear but not overwhelming natural / real Agarwood base. No barnyard or compost, a very defined, high quality, slightly medicinal Oud. Comparing to about 30 other Oud fragrances I have tried, this feels like an excellent Oud standing above most. Good longevity and interesting development over time. Right now the weather is hot, so I will update the review after wearing the perfume in different conditions. With Zworykina's work, I always feel like I am embarking on a visionary journey, as the perfumes evoke strong visions and emotions. An excellent addition to my natural perfume collection.

When I smelled Black Stone for the first time I thougt - “ angry and alone”. I couldn’t be more wrong... Like the black stone of Kaaba or a mystical phylosopher’s stone it is dark and solemn, yes. But it has another dimention – it is very animalic. (For those who are afraid of stinking animalic notes – it doesn’t stink in the least.) BS reminds me more of warm dark fur of a sleeping cat, only big cat, big very friendly cat. As usual turns out with Anna’s perfumes, Black Stone is very tactile. It reminds me of heavy wool cloth or even thin suede – smooth and almost liquid it flows effortlessly towards you, enveloping and protecting. This perfume wouldn’t stop you in you stride offering a heap of memories, it wouldn’t haze over your eyes with day-dreams. With all it’s smoothness and slowliness it amaizingly gives you strength and resistance, an impulse to move on. And there is really a mystery in it: the precision of assembling is so that at once you feel both slow dark base and sharp icy beginning, and it gives you a sensation of something powerful, smoothly moving, with sharp ... claws? knives? mechanism?, - anyway could be dangerous.

I wish this was still available! It sounds so very intriguing going by serenissimous' review!
