Venus in Fur

Another one of Zworykina's shape shifters! Tried it first in warm weather in Russia and was a bit overwhelmed by the jasmine, just on the edge of possible being too indolic. Or was it? Before I could make up my mind, my husband was already swooning, and he's usually not one for bombastic, sweet florals. And of course he was right, it's absolutely gorgeous. The beautiful mimosa, my favorite flower, made me think of the 90's power perfumes like Amarige and Giorgio, but it really smells nothing like those plastic concoctions. We just haven't seen much mimosa in perfumery lately, except paired with fresh, green notes. Here it shows what a genius perfumer can do with it, with the highest quality ingredients (I also love how she uses mimosa in so many ways in her other perfumes). The second try was with a friend back home in cooler weather. Her first reaction was "luxurious!". The jasmine was much more subdued and blended on me as well. A completely different perfume! The incense and cognac was more prominent. Several more tests need to be made, but wanted to get my first impressions out there. Zworykina said that she's in her white flowers period and I am in full support, eagerly awaiting the next creation.

This one is beauty and magic in drops. It brings me to the time when my grandmother read to me an old fairytail book. All i can think of is the illustration from that book of a magic wonderful flower that bloom only once ever thousand year on a place that is more beautiful anyone can imagine. This the first and only parfume that makes me go back to that fairytale and think about that flower, beliving it smells exactly this wonderful! This fragrance is going straight to shell of my favorites, the ones I never want to live without. Wonderful Wonderful creation from Anna Zworykina.
