Winter Blush

This may be a little premature - I'm not sure this is done developing yet. It has settled from mailing though, so I could not resist putting some on today. Lovely and soft - I smell Glühwein when first applied. It dried down to rosewater Turkish delight. If those notes seem a little pompous (why not just say boozy berry, or rose-and-sugar?), I assure you, I cannot accurately describe them other then the food items. This has to be the softest, most authentic gourmand I've ever come across. As a general rule, I don't like gourmands - but this is so absolutely gorgeous, I'm won over! It's like being transported into the most gorgeous Christmas card illustration - it might be Russian, it might be German, it could be victorian or much older - but this definitely conjures something idyllic from holidays long ago. As I said, I'm not sure it's done resting. It's currently a very soft skin scent, and fairly linear. In my limited experience with natural perfumes, it can take a good while for certain notes to show up after a winter plane ride in an unpressurized cargo hold. I suspect more of those lasting Glühwein spices, and possibly the vanilla will develop with time - and I cant wait to see what else. but truth be told, I wouldn't really be disappointed if it stayed just as it was - sweet and pure.

Winter Blush smells like everything that brings colour to the cheeks and warmth to the soul during the cold months of the year. I can detect sweet orange (the orange note in this scent reminds me of the orange note in Lush Karma), I can detect glühwein spices, russian tea, something that reminds me of almond milk, marzipan and sweet, condensed milk. There is a kvas smell in here as well. (Kvas is a russian drink that kind of tastes like a mix of ginger ale and Cola). The scent also has a boozy vibe from the cognac note. All of these smells mix, and takes turns being in the spotlight. This perfume is a fantastic, rich, warm, spicy and slightly fruity blend, with a hedonistic vibe from all these delicious edible and drinkable treats that brings to mind christmas and winter. I'm so in love with this scent, and have just ordered a bottle. A must have for the colder months. Sillage is quite strong, but dries down to a medium (this is a pure perfume). Longevity is fabulous. On my skin it lasts more than 12 hours.

I get indolic jasmine in the opening, swaying in and out of soft spices. Heart and drydown of spices and soft orange that doesn't take over. Very pretty and comforting and would have bought it on the spot if it was the first Zwoykina I tested. But there are many others that I see as greater masterpieces.

Mulled wine and cinnamon, with a little citrus zing. The holidays for every day. Gorgeous and fb-worthy for me.

First of all a blush - so shy and soft in the beginning. Tender and lovely, like a soft reddish glow on a shy child's cheeks when it is pleased but too diffident to say it out loud. Then the perfume starts to warm and speed up on skin and you begin to understand why it is Winter, and a Blush is a different one - blush from a day outside in the cold. Orange, cinnamon, wulled wine, firewood - they dance around getting darker and woodier with time. Orange gives it's sunny energy to the wine, cinnamon spices it up, and then resins and wood come together with something that is regitered like warmth of human body (words "bodily pleasures" come to mind) I cannot pick out any flower, but there sure are a lot -they make middle notes (wine-cinnamon)very volumetric and complete. Whole the story feels really like "Came in, ate an orange, drank some delicious warm ruby wine with a bisquit, sat by the fire and dozed off" A lovely story of a perfect winter day.
