Dojou For Her

Simply beautiful. And beautiful simple. A dream of golden fairy powder, blown in the late autumn air, comforting, harmonious, calming. No harsh edges, and, at least on my skin, no chemical smell. Instead, it's very natural smelling, and the brand is known for natural ingredients. Dojou means "earth", and I think the name is matching the scent in an "enlighted" interpretation of the earth: golden woods, warm sunny flowers, mainly Orange blossom (not screechy at all). The ylang appears only in the top notes, the middle stage is warmed by amber and vanilla. The scent is "well grounded", it's no "statement" perfume, just something to wear when you want to feel beautiful, calm and "at home", but elegant and classy as well. In style it's similar to Trussardi, and sometimes it seems as it could be a much softer version of "Libre". It's very well blended. Better don't do a blind buy because of my vote, I'm not objectiv. Dojou was given to me by my niece with the words: it fits you perfectly. So of course I have to like it 😉.

Fuzzy powderyness. The sweet Ylang and Juniper combo is a hit. Unusual but pleasant and very wearable. This dries down as a warm soft cosy sweater. Natural and so nice! Its not strong but you will get notified. I don’t classify this as woody at all but powdery and aromatic. Ps you can easily overspray for extra warmth and spice!

To me, this is a demonstration of East Asian philosophy. It “feels” clean, calm, elegant and composed. Inoffensive and pleasant. A friend said that it smells like cleanliness and freshness and she was spot on. I usually find it most suitable to wear at the workplace and at the gym.
