Tsukiyo for Him

I blind bought this solely because of the whipped cream note and was surprised with how much I liked this scent. It’s a very sweet minty, musky fragrance. On the opening I get the whipped cream immediately followed by the resin and pepper which dries down into a unique sweet musky scent that projects a few feet for about 6 hours on my skin. 4 -6 sprays is my limit as it becomes a little too sweet when I spray more than that/ This is a daytime scent for me when the weather is fairly cool (fall/spring). I’d agree with the comparisons of it smelling like the inside of a mint cream on the dry down. I haven’t smelled any fragrance like this before and it’s certainly something that will stay in my collection. The bottle design is pretty cool as well, it reminds me of an ink well. The brand is very affordable as well with Tsukiyo costing me $65 USD. Final rating 8.5/10

Sentence Summary: Goes on smelling like a dentists waiting room in an alternative reality where people use sage instead of mint in their toothpaste, dries down to an almost imperceptible base of nutmeg, woods and musk. Light. Edit: When I spray profusely, the dry down reminds me of the inside of a mint cream, which is rather nice. Overall rating 6/10

What a great release from this almost unknown Japanese house. You could easily mistake this fragrance in a blind test with the newest Thierry Mugler's release Kryptomint, almost identical. This one opens minty, green, fresh followed by a creamy, vanillic, almost edible vibe with the tipical earthy Mugler's Patchouli on the background. To be honest, I Prefer Tsukio over Kryptomint. If you like Kryptomint or any other A*men flanker it's definitely a blind buy

Smells like Paco Rabanne Pure XS but dryer and without the liquor note. Silage and longevity is moderate
