Balle d’Argent

Balle d'Argent is a brilliant exercise in contrast. It is classified as a neo-gourmand, but it completely avoids being a simple, sticky-sweet scent. The opening is bright and zesty with orange and bergamote, quickly shifting into a gorgeous, golden heart of rich honey and soft florals. What makes it a standout, though, is the secret "iced metallic" thread running through the composition. It creates a stunning juxtaposition—warm, creamy sandalwood and comforting vanilla balanced by a sharp, cutting, silvery edge. Deeply modern, highly addictive, and incredibly chic.

Balle d'argent is very summery. Fruity and sweet, I personally hear notes of passion fruit and champagne. This fragrance is prefect for sunny summer days by the pool, I would go for it when going to the beach. A truly compliment getter! My wife loves it and I get side eyes from people at work sometimes.. Totally recommend getting this one.

This fragrance opens very fresh and sparkly, with a sweet passion fruit, actually very true to nature, and the best recreation of this note i’ve tried so far, it feels real, juicy and delicious with the sweet bitter aspects of this fruit, paired with rose and a radiant “fizzy” energy. The unique twist comes in the heart, complementing the overall structure of the fragrance, a beautiful muguet accord, paired with a slight touch of honey, amber and patchouli. It feels almost like a fig accord, how the fruity green aspects blend together, although Fig is not in the note break down this is what I get, an abstract Fig feel, alongside passion fruit, rose and muguet. There’s a slight “ozonic” touch that is present from beginning to end of the fragrance, which complements it very well, giving the perfume this “silver” effect, I wouldn’t call it metallic, bcs to my nose it doesn't go into that direction. I especially like the ambery, slightly dirty musk / patchouli base that runs in the background, making the fragrance feel more multifaceted and interesting, giving an edge and not making it super clean and easy

I honestly didn’t expect much from Balle d’Argent. I had seen it compared to some of Chris Maurice’s more predictable compositions, so I was ready for something loud, synthetic and rather familiar. Surprisingly, it turned out to be much more pleasant than I expected. What I like most is the freshness. It opens bright and clean, but not in a boring fresh perfume way. There is a soft metallic touch running through it, and that is probably the most interesting part of the fragrance for me. It really does feel like metal, but a smooth, wearable kind of metal, not aggressive like in Ganymede. I wouldn’t call it groundbreaking, there is nothing extremely complex or revolutionary here. But it is very easy to wear, fresh, slightly sweet and much more elegant on skin than I expected from the comparisons. The most surprising thing is how many compliments it gets. It may not be the most artistic fragrance in the world, but it works incredibly well in real life.
