Samūm

Anomalia surprises me with this one. Samum is one of those fragrances that doesn’t try to be easy, pretty, or instantly likable. It feels dry, warm, textured, and slightly wild, like hot air moving over stone and skin. There is something deeply atmospheric about it: not a “perfume” in the usual polished sense, but more like a mood, a landscape, a heat wave with character. What I like most is that Samum has presence without becoming loud or vulgar. It feels intense, but in a controlled, elegant way. On my skin this osmanthus develops into something spicy, airy, and mineral, with a beautiful tension between warmth and dryness. It gives the impression of sun, dust, wind, and expensive fabric rather than obvious sweetness or a crowd pleasing perfume structure. A very distinctive release, and one of those scents that makes you pause and pay attention.

Samum plays an interesting duet with saffron and osmanthus, although here osmanthus feels much more like a honey spiced with saffron flower, dripping a sweet yellow nectar accord over a dry desert wind. The leather here although listed in the notes, it’s not your usual leather or suede, it feels more ethereal, even abstract, with an airy dry incense cloud surrounding the spotlighted honeyed saffron-osmanthus with a noticeable woody backbone. Simple yet quite complex composition, it feels airy and light yet with a strong presence. Innovative, unique, and a refined elegance, these are the type of fragrance I wish I would see more on this saturated market of same-old-same-old. An incredibly sophisticated take on saffron and osmanthus. Samum perfectly captures the concept of its namesake desert wind—it is intensely warm, dry, and textured. Completely genderless, highly unique, and perfect for when you want to smell refined but entirely distinct from the crowd.

I have been using this one since it has released, and all I can say it's that it's a fragrance I really adore. It's so niche yet so chic and elegant, perfect for autumn and winter ( probably winter's THE season ). As a saffron lover I need to say that the top notes do their job perfectly, as they should - they give that intensely chic vibe. Needless to say it is quite long lasting, which is a key factor for me when choosing a bottle. Totally recommend.

I received the perfume as a present and was surprised how good it sounds on a skin. Very powerful but elegant silage , beautiful composition of woody notes. Super dose of saffron and patchouli for me. Totally chic in spring period as as a bouquet of flowers with intensive diffusion. Recommendation for both men and women. Great choice
