Silver Ambergris

A highly underrated gem in the perfume world.. Love at first sniff for me. It somehow combines the earthy wetness of a forest floor, the crisp coolness of an ocean breeze, and a warm sweetness that feels so nostalgic yet new. It smells familiar but at the same time I can't help but feel I've never smelled anything like it before. It marries so well with my skin. I'm sure there are some who would not like it; it is animalic, it is dirty.. but in the most elegant way. I don't smell the resemblance to Axe that someone mentioned before. This is a sophisticated fragrance, not at all juvenile or harsh like Axe. It is instinctual, complex, and downright sexy.. Very hard to describe. Totally unisex. If someone I was dating wore this I'd be enamored. When I wear it, I feel like a forest nymph. I really can't wait to get my hands on a full bottle. Don't blind buy, get a sample first to be sure it's your cup of tea. It's a 10/10 for me.

I picked up a full bottle of this while I was in New York, and honestly? It weirdly nails the feeling of being in an edgy art gallery like wandering around the MoMA in summer where that plastic-like smell and people’s sweat is combined with their summer-like perfumes, but weirdly smells good. It’s tangy and citrus-leaning, but not in a realistic way. More silvery, futuristic, almost sci-fi. Like you’ve landed on some ocean planet and you’re chilling on an alien beach, surrounded by green things and fruits that kind of look like oranges... but also very much don’t. There’s this salty hit to it, backed by the dirtiest, most animalic marine note I’ve ever smelled...and somehow that’s a compliment. It’s strange, slightly unsettling, and completely unapologetic, yet it just works. I genuinely don’t think we’ll ever see another ambergris perfume like this again. Absolute masterpiece, if you ask me.

I love Silver Ambergris. LOVE. I’ve only smelled real ambergris a few times, and I believe this ambergris is the real stuff. In Silver Ambergris it’s used very sparingly, and I’m picking up the ambergris note as animalic and salty. The mix is gorgeous, I’m picking a tropical vibe even though this isn’t the stereotypical vacation scent. This is special and I will use it as such. It’s deep, exotic..... combined with good performance and an intoxicatingly beautiful wake. Leans feminine but a man who loves florals can pull this off too. Best blind buy on a used bottle to date. Took a chance after watching mixed reviews via YouTube—something I never do but I couldn’t find much about the brand—and so glad I did. I wish I knew who the mystery perfumer is because I’m a fan.

It’s a shame that this scent has not gotten more exposure. It is a fantastic fragrance. It’s smells like someone bottled an authentic beach scent, mixed with an overload of wonderful oak moss. If this were a Creed scent, it would fit right within that brand. It smells like a Creed. Also, if this were a Creed scent, this would probably be widely recognized as their best fragrance in the brand. Actually, it is very reminiscent of a vintage Creed fragrance called Feuille Verte. Not the 2014 re release. I am referring to the original batch from 2006 that was a limited release on Fathers Day, which sold out within minutes of its release, for good reason. Do yourself a favor and try the fragrance. You may be (very) pleasantly surprised. 10/10

Wow guys what a beautiful perfume. And it lasts, I can smell the citrus after 12 hours. This perfume is a clear masterpiece. If it’s an Areej Le Dore creation, he clearly had help. It’s a collab. This perfume is so worth the money. When have u seen a citrus as a base note? Wow, genius. I love this perfume, the black is beautiful too but Silver is just the best of the three. I’m not gonna describe it, because so many others have done a much better job that I can. Just believe me when I tell you this perfume is amazing. A safe blind buy. I’m gonna buy back ups coz I just know it will be discontinued as all the best usually are. I figure 120ml should be enough to last me a very long time.

Hawaiian lei gently surfing along sea soaked sand. The notes of Anomin Silver Ambergris are flowers,fruits, woods , moss and ambergris. Silver Ambergris opens with a tropical note accord that is very soft and ethereal. The tropical accord has the same vibe as Guerlain's Apres L'Ondee to me.. (Yes, imho it is that beautiful) The tropical accord is balanced on a base of sea and sand..If sea and sand translate to ambergris then this perfume has a lot of it. The sea and sand note is linear and always present. Sillage is moderate and longevity for me is 5 hours. I love this one. It is my new favorite tropical fragrance. Kudos to this unknown perfumer. .

Obsessed. Potent but gentle, warm but refreshing, mossy and animalic and funky but clean, loud and floral but unisex (enough). Opened me up to ambergris as a note and now I seek it out whenever I can. Quickly working through my sample and it’s totally bottle-worthy (once I can justify the price). EDIT: FB purchased; really really blossoms on my skin with the atomizer vs. sample blotter; tenacious and narcotic.

So far favorite of the three! All three are great. Been wanting to buy the set. Finally did so.

Striking lovely floral chypre with a hefty dose of ambergris. The scent is a lovely floral bouquet with a mossy amber drydown that sets it apart. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Not for everyone but fans of vintage floral chypres will find much to enjoy here. Enjoy!

Mossy swamp where fresh lemongrass grows and a salty ocean breeze hits on-and-off. The moss comes with as a vegetale greenness that's only a little bitter. It also has this wet musty quality that is reminiscent of mold? (Only the "wet" part of the mold mind you, not the funk). I can see someone describing this "wet" musk as wet wood skins that have been sitting on a forest floor too. On top of that there's a fresh, citrusy (lime) and funky high-note that pokes it's head in and out which really brightens this experience up. It reminds me of lemongrass. There's also some strange briney funk here that's definitely the the ambergris. It sometimes comes across as "soft animal dung" to me. Over all of this there a salty sea wind accord that also weighs in occasionally. It doesn't help open up the mustiness but it adds another dimension to this really complex perfume which is great. Smelling this feels like exploring an abandon school at a swamp. Some rooms are incredibly damp and and heavily vegetated. When you then walk alongside the water you catch more moss but also sour-citrus-smelling flowers blooming with some critter dung spread around. Salty sea breeze randomly meets you from a nearby shore. Not for me, but the scent is surprisingly clean when you consider the notes. It's not very wearable BUT it is artsy and I appreciate that a lot. Give it a try!

I would likely prefer this on a man. A slightly vintage chypre, fragrant florals by the sea/salty, animalic touches, mossy and a leathery accord. On my skin, a metallic nuance (ambergris?) became so prominent ):, the drydown turns a bit sharp. Not a bottle for me. The concept, however, is an impeccable construction with austere edge

“Silver Moss” by Anonim?? Lots of moss. A little salty ambergris. Gets a little sweet/woody in the dry down. Ad copy of “a visit to an antique mall with your auntie” would’ve been more appropriate; there’s no tropical island here.

Initially this was pure Heaven in a bottle. It has a vintage, powdery-but-perky Chanel feel, but one that’s way too exclusive for Coco Chanel herself to share with the public. It’s so unique, spellbinding, complex and interesting. BUT (and this is a BIG ‘but’) there’s something lurking within which I do not like. Now I like ambergris and I’m (usually) fully prepared for its abnormal allure, but here I find a sweet and sour tang that I cannot tolerate. It’s a strange and acrid sweetness. At first it reminded me of a baby’s bottom with sweet baby powder with a little sour baby poop. But then I realised what it also reminded me of... (don’t hate me for this admission) - Lynx (Axe) Africa! The pre-pubescent boys at school would fumigate themselves in this vanilla/geranium combo and wearing Silver Ambergris now is giving me teenage flashbacks. I could delve into why I’m drawing similarities - maybe it’s the similar top citrus notes of bergamot (maybe some orange), but I’m also getting geranium (maybe that’s the moss), plus the woody notes could indeed be sandalwood and cedar, there’s an unmistakable musk here and a sweetness that (to me) is potentially tonka and/or vanilla. I appreciate the quality but for me it’s ruined by association. I’m washing it off as I don’t want teenage kicks right through the night.

This was so salty and green it just went straight up umami and vegetal on my skin... smelled like chicken broth lol. I appreciate how natural the materials are though, so natural and concentrated I actually got a red rash on the spots I sprayed... maybe it's an allergic reaction to that oakmoss? Anyhow this was my least favorite from the line. I sadly did not get any florals, just a zingy green salty briny scent, almost like a really strong persistent salty soup. Makes me kind of sad because I feel like if it wasn't so busy with other notes I would be able to smell the pure gray salty ambergris musk which was what I presumed the "silver ambergris" name alluded to.

I get a lot of oakmoss with this, not one of my favorite ingredients. Unpleasant smell, at least to me. Performance poor as well. Received a sample and not bottle worthy for me.

Silver Ambergris is a hidden gem from Russian Adam which I have a feeling will soon see the light of day for the incredible composition it is. This is truly deserving of “legend” status as it takes ALD’s infamous Russian Musk structure and replaces the deer musk with a beautiful ambergris note. Unlike RM2, Silver Ambergris blooms with complexity and feels much more alove with a stronger emphasis on being breathable. Silver Ambergris is a spicy green Chypre. Don’t let the “tropical” reviews fool you. This isn’t tropical. It’s much closer to a mix of Tom Yum meets RM2 but with some a bitter green edge. Think Hyacinth and Jasmine but blended to perfection while a resinous incense and warm oakmoss slowly creep up amongst the spices. I think fans of Mriga will also find solace here because the citric quality to Silver is perfectly on par with that synth musk masterpiece. In fact I was dead certain this was a Prin scent until I was reminded that basenotes already crack the case WITH receipts. Now it’s only a matter of time before the hype beasts realize they’ve been sleeping on a unicorn. What I like about this scent is that all too often the vintage musk ketones that Russian Adam uses can feel rather urinous on my skin or overly powdery. In Silver, there’s no powder, no pissy musks, no “old lady” vibes that muscone and musk ketones can impart on a scent. Instead it’s rich, green, classic but NOT dated. The ambergris is such a welcome addition to Russian Adam’s palette and I hope he continues down this road in the future. If you’ve been sleeping on Silver Ambergris do yourself a favor and sample it.

I am obsessed with this whole series! Three fundamentally different fragrances, bound together by the golden thread of natural ambergris. Ambergris is my favorite animalic note right before musk, and only with the natural material do I experience these fleeting moments of a change in consciousness, almost like I am tripping balls, and I cannot seem to get enough! If Silver Ambergris didn't have ambergris, it would probably be a no for me. It would be too flowery and light for my taste, but the ambergris brings that magical depth that weaves all the other notes together into an intoxicating concoction that seems to last forever! I can feel this one on myself 48 hours after applying it! I am continuing to fall in love with them over and over again, and it is impossible for me to choose a favorite. It's like they all complement each other, and each one has its own place in the mutual symphony! I am planning on purchasing all three bottles!

Now this is a fantasmical scent, extremely wet, airy and transportive - straight below the deck on a weird ocean going craft on the seas of another planet, far far away. Sun is beaming down hot, heavy and bright through a salt crusted porthole, the light green metal of the room reflects the scent of foamy seawater and crushed plants evaporating into the hot and damp metallic space of the hull. The flowers on the floor here are bulbous distended and leaking - fermenting shortly. I couldn't tell you if this scene is is the past or the future but the scent is pointed and photorealistic (as described) and enchanting. I only have a sample, but i want to acquire a FB when i can. amazing scent

Fizzy mildly sour ambergris... Fizzy citrus musk oakmoss, and bits of ambergris. I get bits of olibanum as well with some dewy floral. This blend is quite interesting, very wearable but it remains animalic. Beautiful.

Yes indeed this is real silver gris. Using a hit of moss and labdanum and citrus or a citrus floral to buffer it out.
