Ce N'est Pas Un Patchouly

This is a stunning patchouli. Start minty, then becomes a hippie patchouli with some earthiness and sweetness, but never as raw as Jovoy's. A hint of carrot will round things up. Very nice. I just wish the performance was more convincing, as it fades out quite quickly on my skin.

Tuned down patchouli... The kind of patchouli watered down with a touch of carrot, mate, and balsam fir. This is like the original patchouli tuned down. Beautiful. Edit (12 Sept 2024) Indeed tuned down patchouli but by floral! white floral to be specific with bergamot, nutmeg, lemon, mint, balsam fir, orange blossoms, & juicy orange,

Patchouli with mate and mint. It's smells a bit like something Floraiku would do. This is definitely not a typical patchouli, could be liked even by those who don't like the note. It's aromatic, light, completely unisex and smells quite interesting. Not my cup of tea, but I find it pleasing my senses.

This is not a patchouli ... Masked, with an explosive clean start, fresh and clear of yerba mate, with mint, spices, bergamot, lemon, orange. A sparkling, spicy opening with a strong bright green sweetness first and a thick earthy grime of patchouli and carrots in between. In this phase I also take refreshing and airy salty marine whiffs which I believe come from the combination of Fir and guajac. In the long finish that follows on my skin, patchouli is once again able to blend into an aromatic tea mate between tonka and geranium ... drinkable! A fresh fougerie, with a patchouli anchored and present but which has fun hiding at times in the composition. Bright, fresh, more suitable during the day, in the warm months with a completely relaxing finish like drinking a chamomile.
