Pharmacia Blush D'Orchidee

I can't believe no one has reviewed this gem yet. I've tried 4 scents from Anthropologie Pharmacia line and I was impressed with all of them, but Blush d'Orchidee is my favorite (next to Vanille Dore). If you like Roger & Gallet fragrances, you may like the Pharmacia line as well. Don't let the name mislead you. I initially thought it would be on the heavier side but I couldn't be more wrong. This scent is the opposite of the heavy orchids that you can find in Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid or Van Cleef and Arpels Orchidee Vanille. This one is a light, fresh scent on a verge of being floral-aquatic. Lovely, realistic, clean, light floral scent. Like a bouquet of freshly cut flowers. Nothing sharp. Nothing loud or polarizing. Where would I wear it? Anywhere, anytime. It's an easy-reach type of scent. You won't offend anyone. Effortlessly beautiful. Any age appropriate. It would really shine in spring and summer. What does it reminds me of? Nothing in particular, but if I was forced to pick something, I'd say it could be a distant cousin of Armani Ocean do Gioia, but more ethereal. I highly recommend trying the Anthropologie Pharmacia line. They are simple, beautiful and inexpensive scents. Good as a blind buy and for a gift. I had a friend smell all scents and they immediately liked all of them. Don't expect to find any novelty or breakthrough scent profiles in this line. However, all scents are perfectly done in my opinion and have a very good potential to be mass-appealing scents. The only downside is that the set of minis I purchased are rollerballs that are difficult to apply on clothes or hair.

I'm pretty new to fragrance and I've had this for a couple years actually, and it is the only perfume I've ever gotten a compliment on, so take that as you will. It's nice and floral, smells just like a flower garden. Not reinventing the wheel here but this would be a really fun scent to gift somebody, especially a teen or tween who's just getting into perfume!
