Pharmacia Vanilla Doré

i've worn this a couple times just from trying the tester at anthropologie, and man, it's beautiful but it's definitely not unique. the comparisons other people have made are definitely accurate--it's that woody, smoky vanilla dna that you see in a lot of vanilla perfumes and body mists nowadays. this is somewhere between by the fireplace and vanilla skin. it opens with a blast of sweet, woody, smokiness, and dries down to a soft vanilla-y skin scent with a touch of depth. i absolutely love how this smells, but it honestly doesn't perform much better than a body mist so it's hard to justify the price, even with it being so affordable for a perfume. if it were stronger, this would be my signature fall/winter scent.

This is for the Rose Épícee fragrance from this brand, idk why it’s not on here but it’s their website & in store. The notes for this— Star Jasmine, Raspberry Champagne, Sandalwood & Golden Amber. This fragrance is amazing! It’s very sweet and fruity, but mixed well and doesnt smell all too “cheap”. There is a “bubbly” scent to it, it helps brighten this up. Definitely heavier on the raspberry champagne. The best way to describe this, is that it smells like a perfume. What i mean by that is i cant imagine anything else (ex. Body mists, shampoos, kid shampoos, lotions, candles etc.) smelling like this.,

I love By The Fireplace, but it’s a little too intense for work so I blind bought this one based on the reviews (and low price point). Truly amazing. It’s like a softer, sweeter By The Fireplace that isn’t going to overwhelm people! Definitely don’t expect a full on gourmand fragrance because it is still very woody/smoky, but there are more sweet notes to it than BTF. If you’re looking for a gourmand, I’d test it out before buying. If you love BTF & woody/smoky winter scents but just want something a tad bit on the sweet side, then this is a safe blind buy. Only downside is that it has poor longevity

The tastiest smelling scent of my life. Super warm, toasty and nutty. Perfect for those who like “not too sweet” gourmands, but also sweet incense-like smells like nag champa and sandalwood. This is also my shortest lasting perfume ever and I’m so disappointed because the scent is immaculate. The closest thing I could find is No.4 by Kosmala. Out of my entire collection, this is the fragrance my partner prefers the most. I’ll likely invest in No.4 as soon as I have the budget to do so

This is my favorite vanilla fragrance. It's frequently compared to By The Fireplace, which has a bold smoke note that makes that unwearable to me. Dore is a fall-winter-spring woodsy vanilla with perfectly done spiciness. Compared to Pharmacia's Cote Vanille, this one is fuller, richer, and has more character. I often go back to Cote Vanille to see if my mind has changed and every time, it's still Vanilla Dore by a long shot.
