Rokka

A girl I know from a clothing store in town gave me 2 good sized samples of this stuff and I'm definitely adding it to my collection for summer. Its probably one of best masculine floral fragrances I've ever smelled. After looking at the ingredients I thought it was going to be more on the feminine side but it isn't. I'm not sure how I'd describe this scent but its very well balanced and blended. Its like a cedar tree with moss that fell over onto a patch of violet flowers. It dries down to a mildly sweet floral soapy smell mixed with wood, and the wood isn't heavy, there is nothing heavy about this scent. Think of a bag of freshly unused Popsicle sticks, that's the wood scent you get. This scent is very clean. That floral smell that you get from your clothes after you've used fabric softener and then add the Popsicle stick wood finish and a very little airy hint of nutty sweetness which is most likely the nutmeg that floats as you're walking around. For some reason I get this 1960's vibe from Rokka. Maybe its how the bottle looks but for some reason I think of the AMC show Mad Men when I have it on. I'm not implying that Rokka smells old fashioned because it doesn't. The scent has a modern retro smell but almost influenced by the 1960's. My advise to the wearer of this scent it make it your signature scent for summer or when you travel to warmer climates. There was a HUGE sample bottle, not a vial but an actual bottle, of this tucked inside the box with the Tiempe Passat I opened today. It's labeled a man's fragrance but I dabbed some on anyway. The opening is sweet, citrus and floral, much more floral than I was expecting for a masculine scent, and also with that floral note being violet. Thankfully, it's a green violet and not a powdery violet! The middle is fresh, somewhat aquatic, and woody, namely cedar. The bottom is rounded out with more sweetness, I get amber, vanilla and earthy patchouli. I agree with LisaMari, this is definitely a unisex perfume. I handed the bottle to my husband explaining about how it was a free sample and all expecting him to blow it off and hand it right back to me, he is not a cologne guy. Instead, he opened it up and dabbed some on his hand, then proceeded to "ooh" and "mmmmm" and finally announce, "This smells great!" He gets to keep the bottle and I get to enjoy him wearing it.

Love this----to me it's unisex. A wood base with this comforting layer of white musk and a sweet note at the top. I am all woman but I love to wear this one. On my skin, the patchouli becomes a powdery blue velvet coat on a crisp spring day. The type of day where there's still a chill left over from winter and the wind is blowing fiercely through the trees, but the sun is so bright that instead of creating warmth it casts this illuminating veil over everything. You're wrapped in a luscious soft milky blue velvet coat and you're comfortably warm but your face stings from the chilling wind and the air that you breathe through your nostrils is so cold that it creates a slight burning pain in your throat. Instead of causing discomfort the burning pain just reminds you that you're alive and you take in deeper gasps of air. This is Rokka.

This is quite a unisex even masculine scent but its delicious. A sexy, fresh musk. All the notes seem perfectly blended so no one stands out and it is long lasting. I want to eat it >< I detect lavender and tobacco and vine ripened tomatoes even though those notes aren't listed. It smells like an Italian man.

Strong for a cologne. Citrus and nutmeg-forward with violet in the background. The tag on my bottle says it was inspired by mountain air sports and it's good for winter wear. Slightly more masculine but women could wear this too as the cedar and patchouli in it are not overly prominent.

Rokka is definitely unisex. I absolutely adore the bottle and even the outside packaging (raw cardboard with Rokka stamp and giant neon circular sticker). To me Rokka is more for the alternative gypsy-kinda-gal, into travel, nature, festivals.... This smells like a summer day filled with happiness, is that even possible?! I smell a little coconut even though this isn't listed. This is what it smells like when first sprayed on the skin and on the test card. BUT, unfortunately, Rokka dies down after an hour, and the base notes smell identical to talcum powder/soap. I loved you at first Rokka... But deep down you just weren't there, sadly.
