Dies Aurorae

This is just lovely. The opening is a beautiful incense with the honey and cedar and vanilla warming up just afterwards. The incense remains in the background. It really feels like a religious experience. I was already enchanted with Antonio Alessandria from Malia (Nobile 1942), but this just brings it to another level. I agree with an earlier commenter who said that it's baffling that it isn't getting more attention. I agree, because it's just beautiful. EDIT: I now own a bottle! It is so gorgeous. Really a work of art. For special, special moments.

Gothic gourmand, perfect companion for fall season. Strong incense, warmth, some sweetness (but no bakery). Enchanting!

I saw the note breakdown and i Had to get a sample. and... On my skin, this has a beautiful, Beautiful trail. It's incense, caramel and pistachios, with vanilla and hazelnuts. All that, sweetened with honey and embalmed with elemi. It makes my mouth water, my stomach gets hungry, and my brain wants more and more. It reminds me a bit of "A Whiff Of Wafflecone" by Imaginary Authors. But more nuanced with the notes i get. Unfortunately though, i don't like the incense used here. It has a urinal cake smell on my skin, and on my glass spoon (that i use instead of paper strips). It's not so noticable in the air. But up close, it's Very clearly urinal cake. And it does give me a headache after a while. But all that said. In the air, this is nothing short of spectacular. It's like a carnival candy store in a catholic church burning lots of incense. Projection is strong, and longevity is long lasting+. For outside wear in winter it will enchant anyone passing into your scent cloud. As long as they don't get too close (3-4 inches). Where: Casual and special ocations. This is Not office friendly in my opinion, as it gives me a headache and it's a bit too alluring/seductive for work for my taste. When: Fall and winter. When you need warmth and when you need sweet and incensey fragrance. Who: Anyone. There isn't a specific gender or age to this, but if i Have to chose, i'd say more masculine than feminine. It's quite unisex/uniage. Personal score: 8/10. It's a great fragrance. But it has a few flaws keeping it from the higher 8's, 9's, and 10. For it's perfect place, in winter while outside, not getting too close to people and having fresh air around me, this is a 9/10. But for general use, it's more a 7/10. I'll say, i love it, but i wouldn't wear it often, or buy it. Absolutely worth sampling.

The richness of this fragrance is as opulent as possible- gothic, warm, enchanting, and extremely potent. Imagine holding the top notes in your hands: the structure is weighty, dense, nutty, warm, and sweet. Now imagine holding those top notes inside a church. You can smell the wooden icons, the incense, the candles... And finally, imagine all of this being magically transformed into a fragrance, allowing you to return to that image every time you smell it. The style of the fragrance reminds me of some of Filippo Sorcinelli’s creations, yet it remains unique and true to its own story. It’s one of the rare fragrances that has captivated me on this level, and it also happens to be one of my partner’s favorites- his brother even met Antonio at his perfumery in Catania! Small world, with so few fragrances this extraordinary.

Rich honey, flavoured with nuts and a bit of caramel, and with a slight, resinous, woody smokiness. After a couple of hours the honey calms down and the incense and nuts become more prominent. The vanilla is there throughout if you look for it but stays very subtle as a warm background to the other sweet notes. Overall a warm, cozy, dark and sweet gourmand. Very nice! It's baffling to me how little attention this seems to be getting. This should be any niche-gourmand-lover's dream... The only drawback is that the longevity isn't amazing. After about 5-6 hours, all that remains is a sweet musk skin scent which unfortunately retains very little of the original notes.

The sexiest scent in my collection, but it could use a touch more daring. Those who appreciate fragrances like Oud Maracuja, FM Promise, Bois Imperial, and Amouage Purpose might find this one a bit tame. It's impeccably balanced and not cloying, as some have noted. I'm hopeful they'll release an intense version; it could easily surpass many similar scents for ex : Grand Soir...

a bit similar to amouage interlude woman, but less scratchy, much warmer and a bit sweeter. all in all more wearable, at least for me. i prefer definitely this one.

Elemi, incense, and nutty pistachios.. It starts dusty with hints of (kind of) cloying sweets. I get elemi, incense, sweet nutty pistachios, And a mixage of honey, beeswax, caramelized, & vanilla. I get as well tonka beans, sweet almonds, and more vanilla with caramel. I believe this blend is kind of too much sweet goes on, sort of cloying to be specific.

It's mostly sold out all over online (for about $200/100 ml) but I was delighted to see DUA had it today! Based on great reviews and this perfume having all my favorite notes I couldn't resist trying this (in a dupe). Update forthcoming on their take on it;-)
