Fara

I am generally not a fan of “freshie” fragrances, which means I struggle to find good scents to wear in the summer. My search is over — Fara is perfect! This fragrance really speaks to me because of the funkiness in the dry-down. If you’re wanting an easy breezy beautiful cover girl scent, keep on looking. I was instantly drawn to Fara because of the story behind the fragrance — I have Sicilian ancestry and have heard about this drink. From what I’ve read online, people often slurp it right off their own hand or arm during scorching hot days. The skin’s salty sweat plays a big part in the unique taste of the beverage. Fara opens with the most delicious, refreshing citrus and mint. It doesn’t feel synthetic or sickeningly sweet, either; I’m talking real-deal mint leaves and grated lemon and lime rinds. The bright citrus hangs around for a few hours on my skin which is pretty impressive for notes that tend to be so fleeting. The fresh, effervescent opening seamlessly blends right into the middle notes. One minute I’m smelling a delicious citrus beverage and the next I’m getting the full-on buttery leather of magnolia blossom, the funkiness of cumin, and a dash of salt for good measure while echoes of citrus linger in the background. After a handful of hours, Fara eventually settles into a lemony musk that sits close to the skin. The late dry-down showcases cumin in a way that is entirely human and approachable. Chef’s kiss.

This is THE definitive marine fragrance for me. At the heart of it is a bold and much needed amount of saltwater, balanced with a beautiful citrus opening and some cumin that gives it the longevity that so many marine fragrances often lack. The cumin and magnolia emerge perfectly to mingle with the citrus, creating a warm, authentic beach smell complete with warm sand and whatever algae may have washed up. Beautiful composition.

This is without a doubt my favorite citrus summertime fragrance! Smells just like fresh cut lemons and limes. Performance is good. Love wearing this daily on sunny days!

A fresh and elegant fragrance, and surprisingly long-lasting.

The cummin notes, just can't like it. Other is fine but when I realized that note, it time to take shower.

Sexy in a bottle... It is literally a sexy guy in a bottle, muscled in speedo on the beach, humble, def not cocky, or arrogant, & very ripped, Someone like "Claude" in Along Came Polly movie. It has ginger, citrus, sea salt, bit of magnolia, musk, and cumin. The only drawback (which is mostly to me and not to those who enjoys aquatic blends) is the mint that gets dominant after 10 to 15 minutes in, but it remain having that freshly cocktail vibes on the beach. It is very much sexy for those guys who enjoys the beach & wants to add that hint of sexiness to their overall look. Beautiful & Sexy.

Purchased a full bottle because of the refreshing ingredients hoping for a great fragrance for summer. Unfortunately the artistic side of this perfume, representing skin heated by the sun, is a major drawback when the fragrance evolves. Had to exchange for another perfume. Luckily I always ask for a decant to avoid opening the packaging.
