Her Secret Desire

This went from like to love for me over the last few days. The opening is a very sweet (as in sugar crystal sweet) intense fruity note. It's listed as raspberry, but to me it's a raspberry that almost leans towards cherry. The dry down is an insanely creamy blend of sweet sweet vanilla, orris and violet. I'm sure the sandalwood note will also be contributing to its creaminess, but I can't personally separate it from the other notes. Frankly, in that phase it - despite the notes being very different - it reminds me a lot of the way Black Opium dries down on me. Longer into wear I can also detect a plastic-y undertone especially to the vanilla. It doesn't disturb me, but if you don't like that kind of vibe it may be not for you. All over it smells like they were trying to emulate a whole bunch of fruity-sweet-gourmand early to mid 2010s fragrances, and quite successfully so. I'm kind of here for it. Sillage is very decent on me. Especially in the first 3 hours my husband smells it on me when I just walk through the room. Longevity is really not bad either. Not bombastic, but not bad. Now, I'm really surprised this seems to have been out for a year at a more than affordable price and doesn't get talked about at all. I got an 80ml bottle in a set with the Deodorant for the equivalent of 14USD and it may be one of my best value for money perfume purchases ever. The quality can easily compare to fragrances double and triple the price. The bottle looks lovely. I'm a bit baffled and can only guess that most likely it's just way too late to the party in its category and may start to smell a bit dated to some. Personally I really love it. Clear repurchase potential.

I bought this based on everyone's reviews and it was a successful untested buy! If you enjoy sweet vanilla gourmands like Black Opium you should love this one. And for the price you cannot go wrong! The scent is comparable to higher end fragrances. I will probably edit my review later but everyone else's reviews have gone into detail on how amazing this fragrance is. My mom who isn't a fan of Black Opium or gourmands even found Her Sercret Desire appealing. It's very sweet and sometimes the smell reminds me of glazed donuts and every so often the drydown smells like apple cider to me. I have a skewed sense of smell though so I could be wrong. There are other notes present but I have to wear it again. I just wanted to leave a comment on this fragrance and I hope it will continue to be sold for ages! Don't miss out on this one! For the price you can spray it vigorously; on yourself, your clothes, your car, your room! I think it is a scent many people can find pleasing so it could also make a good gift. The sillage is good and lasts 4 to 6 hours. Beautiful bottle too! There's also something about this scent that seems to have the same kind of 'dna' as Victoria's Secret body sprays. One of my favorites from Victoria's Secret was Hello Darling. While not similar at all, it has a similar intense sweetness or maybe whatever perfumers' alcohol or chemical they use to carry the fragrance is what I am smelling? I see that someone else compared Her Secret Desire to another VS fragrance that I need to try out to compare.

This could easily be a 'Black Opium' flanker. I'll keep it short and sweet: The opening is a juicy, sweet raspberry...the same one you find in Armani's 'Because It's You'. Then this fragrance starts to morph into YSL's 'Black Opium' without the cherry-like sourness of the liquorice note and the bitterness of the coffee. The powdery quality of the orris root and violet mimics BO's liquorice note. So a flat-white with 2 shots of vanilla :) This smells FAR more expensive than it is. A real compliment-getter. I've already had several guys comment on how good I smell wearing this. Fully recommend.

Smells a bit tart but sweet and extremely comforting! I love how the bottle also matches the fragrance. I personally do not see myself wearing it during a hot humid summer day. Honestly, I blind bought this perfume because it's extremely affordable and the notes are appealing to me. When I tested it on my skin, it instantly put a smile on my face. 😊 Just like what most have mentioned, I do agree that's it's nothing groundbreaking and it does not smell "cheap" but for $15, it's pretty impressive and you can't really complain. I will definitely repurchase this once again 💜

Powdery delicious raspberry candy but with a sophisticated and womanly touch. Easy reach. Mass appeal, not generic. Warm, comforting. $15!? Yes please.

I love it! It's not overpowering and settles on my skin beautifully. It's a pretty scent.

Does not smell like Black Opium, has something that makes it smell like candies. Reminded me of Ciao by Vince Camuto. A lot. Sprayed it, and forgot all about it. Very pretty smell, on the sweet side, but still a little more mature.On the skin, it smelled like a less overwhelming version of Jimmy Choo, the EDP I wanted to add, this is not a cheap smelling perfume. It’s not a complex designer masterpiece, but it does not have a generic Britney Spears Fantasy like sweetness that a lot of celeb fragrances have. This could easily pass for designer.

It's very delicate scent of raspberry, vanilla and bergamot. Sweet and delicious. Desire has nothing common with Temptation in the red bottle. Desire is similar to Black Opium, while Temptation is similar to la Vie Est Belle. Desire is softer and more tender. Longevity and sillage is moderate, I have to reapply it during the day. It suits for everyday use, while Temptation is more evening fragrance. Desire is sweet, but not cloying. Lovely scent! The bottle is very attractive, like a rainbow! Quality-price is worthy.

I tried this in the clearance section of a perfume store out of sheer boredom while waiting for a friend. I can't believe how much I like this, and how cheap it was. Sure, it's totally over the top sugar and powdery violets but it's totally irresistible! Unfortunately longevity is weak: 2h. I like this as a bedtime scent, or just for lounging around at home. Reminds me of Cheirosa 59.

Wow ! For a cheapie ... this was such a win ! It smells similar to a couple of designer fragrances for about 1/8 of the cost . Think ... if la vie est belle and black opium had a baby. This is a great winter fragrance. I do suggest taking it easy with the sprays because it’s in your face , similar to how la vie est belle can be .

Sweet warm vanilla safe perfume for everyday wear but doesn't last for long.

Soft, pretty and feminine, but unfortunately for me, this was nothing special. The raspberry and bergamot opening reminds me a little of Armani's In Love With You, just with no wow-factor. It lacks in sweetness for me. I was expecting bergamot to cut through the sugar crystal rasberry, but it just sort of smells ... nice. It's the only word I can come up for it. It's nice. Muted. Safe. Drys down to a powdery, slightly woodsy vanilla. I definitely get the oris and violet. Her Secret Desire is absolutely 100% office safe and great for a gentle, slightly sweet/floral perfume. Overall, there is nothing to dislike about this perfume. It just doesn't excite me or make me feel anything really. The bottle, box and presentation is lovely and I'm sure it would make a nice gift for someone though. Somewhere in my dreams, when I'm a rich and famous author, I'll have a perfume room dedicated to my obsession- I mean, hobby, then perhaps I'll re-vist this one and keep it just for the beautiful bottle, but it just didn't wow me enough to keep it. I'll be selling this on.

I'm in shock! Unbeatable price AND elegant bottle colors AND a smell that makes me feel sexy, sweet, feminine, beautiful, relaxed, cozy... What else could I ask for? It smells quite strongly, just with a single spray! Reminds me of many gourmand perfumes: ( Poison girl, Girl of now, Stone for her, etc). The opening is synthetic & fruity - I get only raspberry. In the process it becomes powdery and I smell intensely the jasmine. Finally, I feel the sensual vanilla & the sandalwood is hidden somewhere there too. All the while, I smell something really almondy/nutty, even if it is not on the list ..As time goes on, it becomes more and more soapy. It smells much more expensive than it costs. The longevity is weak... Α freshly-washed blanket, wraps you, the moment you drink a hot raspberry-flavored vanilla milkshake with almonds on top!!! I really appreciate this one... I snatched it from the shelf out of boredom and maybe thanks to the beautiful purple bottle. I sniffed it, I liked it, I bought it, then locked in the drawer and kinda forgot about it for six months. Opened it today and liked it again. Still had the feeling it reminds me of something I love and then I remembered: the dry down to my nose and skin reads a lot like the dry down of classic Dolce Vita from Dior from 1990-ties, my the most fav vanilla perfume ever. If I had to choose one, I would totally go for much more sophisticated and complex DV, but if I needed a small bottle of very nice scent just to throw into my bag, this Banderas could totally be my choice. Doesn't smell cheap at all, pity it fades away in 2-3 hours, yet still worth it. PS. I wished Arab perfumes had this kind of delicious, sweet and clean vanilla profile in their notes, not this gourmand, cloying, pie-like one. One can dream, I guess.

I can't recognise any notes of this perfume and I don't know why

When I bought it last year, I thought of it as of another Black Opium replacement but a fruitier one and deprived of the coffee note. Tonight I returned to it and it's really beautiful but nothing like Black Opium to my nose anymore! It's a nice combo of fir (awesome opining), orris root (beautiful heartnote) and warm vanilla (in the base). No raspberry at all (and I adore raspberry in perfumes), no citruses or white flowers - just fir, orris root and vanilla. Intensive at first but eventually pretty ephemeral. Good for bedtime in winter😍

If you're on a budget or just feel like buying a cheap perfume, this is actually a quite good option. I am surprised there is no coffee/caramel top note in it according to the fragrantica pyramid, this is reminiscent of a Black Opium /Poison Girl combo to my nose. Nothing very special but neither is Black Opium and co. Pleasant, warm, wearable. I think it is definitely worth the price!

I adore this perfume!! It smells exactly like Oui La Vie Est Belle except on the lighter side, and slightly less syrupy. This is sweet, raspberry powdered cand with some air of freshness! The lasting power is abysmal on my skin unfortunately. My skin eats most perfumes but this lasts like 10 minutes which makes me so sad.
