Spirit for Men

A nice cheapie! A smokey, slightly-sweet, spicy, green smell. To me, it smell like a flanker of the original Antonio Banderas. As if the green fir note made smokier & spicier with incense & cinnamon. I guess the green here comes from patchouli. Nonetheless, the green note disappears after the opening, you're left with a this charming smokey spicy smell of cinnamon & incense. It's a very light smell, very inoffensive despite being a spicy smell in essence. It's much milder than a lot of the sporty fragrances in the market. Performance-wise, the smell has a soft sillage. It's a skin scent, think D&G The One EDT, with a poor longevity of ~3 hours only! It's good that given the cheap price & the how mild it is, you can spray as much as you want. The bottle is amazing, too. The deep red with smooth sides is a beauty. Overall, a very good scent with very poor performance, a decent release from Antonio nonetheless.

The best inexpensive fragrance for men (and one of the best fragrances ever). Love it! The pyramid doesn't do it much justice and doesn't convey the real character of the scent. I don't find it particularly balsamic or spicy, and I hate incense in perfumes. Spirit is a well-blended masculine scent suitable for day and night, wearable in any season. It's neither too sweet, nor too fresh. It doesn't give off that "generic" vibe, like many cheap (and even many expensive) colognes do. On the contrary, it's a very distinctive scent. It smells very alluring and much more expensive than it is. I remember it being a big hit among young men when it was just released. And many girls loved it too. Now it's kinda forgotten, but true fans will never forget it :D

My husband got this as a gift and it is nice but too light and kinda blah on him however I love wearing this.. Soft but sweet, smokey and spicy. I'm not great at individual notes but I can detect the amber and cinnamon easily with the neroli, frankincense and a touch of patchouli backing them up.. Warm and comforting, I actually prefer this to the woman's version which I also have. Throw is low at skin to a couple inches only and lasts 4 hours on me. Easily passes as a woman's scent

This was my first ever purchase. And boy was it a good one! If this same DNA were to be remade, and had better performance, it would be a huge hit. I really think Ant should call the shot and remake this masterpiece, maybe pump it up a bit! Sweet with just a touch of spice, warm enough to get the blood pumping!

Love this one on my husband. This one gets me hot and bothered. guys, it has that affect on the ladies . make it a staple in your cologne wearing repertoir. Great for evening and date nights

Warm and sweet scent-very good and for the price you can't go wrong. It can be a good alternative to 1million or blackXS-you may find that this smells even better.

Spirit for men is another superb creation by the great Pierre Wargnye,earthy,smokey and classy!Sadly it performs pretty bad.....No similarities with One Million.

I really love this one. spices, cinnamon, and more. It's got a very 90's vibe to it but in a very good way.

So, I was a little let down by this one... I remembered wearing this right after graduating high school and thinking it was an AWESOME scent. This was, to me then, what Nuit d'Issey is to me now. A little mature for me at the time, but I wore it daily none the less. After buying a new bottle, I can't help but think - wasn't this much stronger back then?? There's a chance that I got a counterfeit or an extremely old bottle, as I bought this on eBay for $9 for a 1.7oz bottle and there was no batch code to be found on it - or a box for that matter. As for the smell: Bleu De Chanel's incense meets 1 Million's cinnamon, with a romantic, resinous vibe. It's a shame how this smells today, a watered down memory of what it once was. Wearing this today, it was nice and pleasant albeit a bit dark and hard to put my finger on the notes - even after applying more than a dozen sprays. Projection was minimal at best, but again, very pleasant none the less. I just wish it were stronger and brighter like I remember it being when it first came out... But that's okay, I've got Nuit d'Issey now... :)

Another cologne from Antonio Banderas’ brand that I've worn and approve. In this case, it is one of the few perfumes of the brand not to suffer prejudice because of the general public. This product has a very good fragrance and it is worth remembering that it was the winner of 2 categories of the 2005 Fifi Awards (maximum award for the world of perfumery). The categories in question were: Best packaging of popular appeal and Male fragrance of the year of popular appeal. The fragrance of Spirit for Men is oriental and rich in warmer notes of cinnamon, amber, neroli, and patchouli. It also contains bergamot, musk, frankincense, and vanilla. In my opinion, Spirit for Men is a very good perfume for colder days, evening events and romantic encounters where the projection does not have to be huge, but the lasting is essential. The result is delicious and, like most fragrances of the brand, the cost is not high.

This EDT pleasantly surprised me. It has nearly instant entry notes a touch of citrus and energizing green wood, the middle notes are wonderful, a mixture of wood and hints of oriental spices realemnte transport you to the Arab world (if I may say I've never been to Saudi Arabia but I imagine that the sheikhs should smell this) a blend of spicy woods without losing the touch of incense and musk, a really fine blend. The base notes are a little more fresh woods and musk smell fades. In general, the accessibility of this fragrance strikes me, has very good quality and is comfortable, gives a sense of authority. I obviously think it works well in cold weather, the age range recoendaria serious for men from 30 years in younger men loses its seductive and only shows its imposing appearance and business. It stays on my skin for about 8 hours. Highly recommended who adore oriental fragrance.

I would class this as a unisex fragrance. It is a warm oriental scent, not particularly strong or long-lasting but I like it all the same. Sometimes it is good to wear things like this without worrying about if it is too strong or not. This is a good safe inoffensive winter/Fall scent, due to the warmth of this I would find it very attractive on a woman despite being classed as a male fragrance. It is more of a close to the skin scent so would be nice to wear when spending time with your significant other. The bottle is nice and simplistic and the spray is quite strong, you can go a bit heavier in application with this without fear. I got a 100ml EDT for a really good price, despite the medium longevity and projection I still think it's great value. Good Stuff :)

This is by far the weakest cold weather scent i've come across. I always double the amount of sprays with this one, but it's still way weaker than more expensive scents. Price and strength do not always go hand in hand, but they do in many cases and Spirit by AB is one of them. The scent is good though. I get Incense, red berries, cinnamon, a little bit leather... Masculine powdery red steam. Nice. Perfect for those days you are not in the mood for a heavy scent, but still wanna wear fragrance during the cold months

It does smell very nice, typically oriental. It does smell of cinnamon, but its scent is subdued, not full blown. It is very soft. Silage, though, is none, I find this scent too weak. It is not very original either, since there are dozens of oriental fragrances for men with this type of scent, very trendy these days. Well, I do like the scent of cinnamon. Longevity is not that good either, but that is probably to do wioth the scent's weak intensity.

God I love the cinnamon in this one. The best cinnamon note I have encountered in a fragrance is in Perry Ellis M. This one is a close second. The incense is also very soft and pleasant in Spirit. The citrus notes are very cherrylike. This is a very versatile fragrance. Can be used in all seasons, day or night. Will never let you down. Sillage is above average. And of course the price is very good for a fragrance of this calibre. Recommended.

Wasn't really expecting too much from this, but pleasantly surprized, Its clearly aimed at Paco Robanne Million. And its success. I really like it. The cinnamon isnt to sweet. The mix of cinnamon and musk produce an amost damask rose quality. Its early days, but so far I'm loving this. Its worth a go as its so cheap.

I’ve had this bottle for awhile. I’ve always enjoyed the smell but have found the performance a bit lacking. This only lasted a few hours for me today with 3 sprays. Has a lovely sweet character to it with warm spicy notes. Cinnamon maybe but seems subtle. I like this but wish it lasted a bit more.

in addition to my review below after wearing this for a while I was left with a feeling that the dry down reminded me of something..... a soft and subtle version of Ambre Sultan Eau de Parfum by Serge Lutens, odd but true. This is Ambre sultan junior. Shame longevity isn't better.

I had this one... and it's just a copy of dior Fahrenheit :( ... but mutch lighter and of cours not so powerful!

This reminds me of the original Chanel Egoiste, but a lot less expensive.

I bought the after shave version of this cuz it was cheap to try. This has no throw—maybe a few inches. But it’s pleasant enough for an after shower refresher.

just bought this one. all i can say is that it smells weird. sometimes it smells nice, but as soon as you compare it with (example) Beckham Intimately Yours, beckham owns everything on every level. go and buy Beckhams Intimately Yours if you want to smell fresh and awesome + the ladies love it;) peace!

This fragrance was a mistake that besmirched the very timeline that is my fragrance life. A mistake i hope to never make again. From that point on I never purchased another celebrity toted fragrance....fool me once......

I agree with bp. It smells good, but the longevity, projection and sillage are weak, very weak. It's cheaper, that's the reason.

I don't like it! when my man wears it, I cannot even hug him! I don't like the incense there

A great little bargain bin fragrance, appropriate for the cooler months of the year, particularly late fall and early winter. The note pyramid can give you a good idea of what this one smells like: There's a nice, spicy cinnamon note blended into a heart accord of ambery woods. I'd describe Spirit as spicy first, but also warm with a dark, semi-sweet character resulting from the incense/amber blend. Although Spirit isn't "fresh" in the typical sense, the fragrance itself has a nice buoyant, piquant sort of quality, so it never feels heavy or sticky, or like it's dragging itself around. In that sense it's just as good indoors as outdoors, and is an easy, comfortable wear. Performance isn't bad at all for the price--I get a solid 4 to 6 hours with pretty good projection from 4 or 5 sprays. I've noticed in the reviews that Spirit gets comparisons to many different fragrances, most of which I don't think it really smells similar to. However, in that woody-spicy-amber genre it indeed seems to have a little bit of everything, so I understand why the comparisons are there. So while it's not a clone of anything that comes to my mind, it also isn't especially distinct, which actually works in its favor here. I'd give Spirit a solid 8/10 as I really like how it smells and don't have any performance issues with it. Spirit is worth a blind buy for those looking for a quick addition from this genre, but not wanting to commit to something more expensive or distinct at the moment.

Scent is beautiful and perfect for this time of year. So much they could of named this 'Spirit of Autumn'. The cinnamon pops in the opening and the warm spicy drydown reminds me of a Spanish festival I attended last summer with my wife. You know, when things was normal before covid invasion. Anyway, Spirit is masculine and unique enough to add to any collection. However, it does not last long and you need to apply heavily to get a few hours of sillage or reapply throughout the day. Pity because it's a real gem of a scent. Would be in my top 5 for Fall season if it only lasted longer. Come on Zorro get your act together with this one.

Very good fragrance. projection is not so good, yet it projects better than I previously thought. After 2 hours it smells sweet on my skin. Here in Brazil it has an effective "cost x benefit". Of course, it could be stronger and project better. I found it similar to puma i'm going after two hours and i liked that, but Spirit is stronger.

Very close to Carlos Santana but without the apple note.Cinnamon and incense with light fruity notes. Very light as mentioned but for the price I can't complain. Great to wear for spring/summer due to the lack of sillage. A safe scent that I don't think many will complain about.An extreme version would be fantastic!!

I like it very much .... I've kept it about four months and my friend like it too so I passed it to him. This smells is really nice at the opening, but the dry down a little bit too spicey for me. It suits any occasions, mature yet fresh. Scent : 8/10 Longevity : 7/10 Projection : 7/10

I love this red bottle at first sight. So I bid it from E bay.First spray that is not too strong and not too sweet. I found it very good combination of gentle incense and amber. I love when this scent dry down.Make me feel so comfortable and so confident but peaceful at the same time.

Easily one of the most attractive smells around. They need to make a EDP or Parfum of this exactly how it smelt back then. I wouldn't recommend buying it now, it's probably done for, but man, this was my first scent, and it made my 12 year old ass smell amazing LOL

I used to wear this scent, and i don't think it's a copy of farenheit, this is very different, it's an oriental woody fragrance. But i do think farenheit it's very similar to polo by ralph lauren.

i wish a could kiss the person who created this one. i love it, it's my favorite fragrance... i already have boss in motion, siete, and mediterraneo, but Spirit is the king. thankyou AB

Vanilla, cinnamon and some fruitness. Synthetic but pleasant. Not something I would call remakable though. This one could be marketed as a unissex scent in my opinion. Passable.

Great perfume used by my husband: It smells lovely on him. Just the right combination of spicy and amber elements. Most suitable for a night out in the winter months.

Anybody still wanting this, a SOLID almost 90% identical smell is Tony Iommi by xerjoff. It's VERY similar, and performs like a.monster! So happy I got it now!
