The Icon Eau de Parfum

I've been using it for some 4 months now and its has become my staple office fragrance. I bought it blind on Fragnet , so I had no clue what it smelled like. When I tried the first time it was very disconcerting, the first time I used it I was like WHOA what is this?? The screechy pomelo and peppery notes were something I've never experienced before. Keep in mind that I had not bough a new fragrance in 10 years, many things have changed ever since the last time! But then I started to get compliments at the office and among friends, and then discovered that in the dry down is when this one shines. Does it smell synthetic? Yes. But still amazingly smooth and creamy with lavender, ambroxan and vetiver notes. Does it not last long on skin? Yes, if you sissy spray, it wont last more than 3 hours. I go heavy on the trigger, 15-20 sprays will get you a very long lasting 8 hour sensation. For CAD $31 for the 100ml bottle, you can afford to go crazy with this one. It is a magnificent fragrance, a steal for the price, it's gonna get you compliments guaranteed. I If you blind buy just make sure you give it enough time, try it on several days a week and it will grow on you more and more. I wish there was a 200ml bottle, I would certainly buy it!

To me this comes across very similar on drydown to Rochas L'homme and even K edp. Definitely a sweet and fresh blue fragrance suitable for spring and summer but with some depth, not airy or fleeting. I was quite impressed with both it's longevity and projection. Lasted a full 8 hour work day. Great cheap grab.

Buen descubrimiento :) para lo que cuesta muy bien. Una salida algo picante y hasta cierto punto fresca por la toronja me imagino. No se parece a sauvage (no se vayan por eso). El secado ya se siente un poco la gamuza (no cuero) la lavanda, el pachuli y tiene un carácter muy masculino. Demasiado. Si es verdad que se siente más sintética que muchas fragancias de diseñador (cuál no lo es) pero tiene un punto encantador dentro de todo. No siempre es necesario gastar tanto para oler muy bien. No es recomendada para los que se sienten ultra conocedores y le hacen feo a las fragancias económicas. Fragancia más bien para tomar una copa o una cita en un restaurante o terraza, para una reunión donde vayas de traje. No es una fragancia formal como tal, pero si tiene ese carácter de elegancia un poco presente. Dura muy poco es cierto. Pero tampoco esperes mucho por los 20 dólares que pagas. La gente se pone a opinar en contra de toda fragancia que se ponen a las 6 o 7 am, a veces sin bañarse incluso, salen de su casa enfrentando tráfico, transporte y demás y quieren que les dure si o si 8-10 horas. Nada que no se solucione incluso con una fragancia de diseñador costosa (incluso algunas nicho) reaplicando. Si se puede pagar más de 70-100 dólares o mucho más a veces por una fragancia es difícil de creer que no se pueda pagar 2-3 dólares más por un perfumero para tener ahí la fragancia y reaplicar :) recomiendo este perfume si tienes más de 25 años y buscas algo versátil, que no huela como algo tan masificado y tú vestimenta sea más bien de traje o sport diario. No esperes muchos cumplidos pero de que gusta gusta y bastante :) yo en mi caso me la compré por la reacción de mi esposa al atomizarla. Y para mí es válido introducir una fragancia a mi colección si noto reacción favorable en una de las mujeres más importantes de mi vida. Lo demás importa poco y nada :) recomiendo no comprar a ciegas y si te la llevas a casa disfrutala

The Icon de Antônio Banderas Eau de Parfum é um excelente perfume com relação à fragrância, mas infelizmente peca bastante na performance e projeção, durando, ao menos na minha pele, cerca de apenas 2-4 horas, com uma performance um pouco melhor se comparado aos demais da linha, mas sem muita novidade. O preço é justificável, tendo em vista que hoje por cerca de R$200 você facilmente consegue comprar essa fragrância. No mais, gostaria que existisse algum perfume com o cheiro similar, porém com a performance melhor. Alguns dizem se assemelhar com o Gentleman Givenchy, até com a versão de 2017, e que apesar de ter certa semelhança, acredito que estão bem longe de serem próximos. Se seu objetivo é ter um perfume fresco e aromático para uma saída mais breve e com ótimo custo benefício, este é o perfume certo pra você. No mais, não recomendaria pra saídas mais prolongadas, como o trabalho, pois como disse anteriormente a fixação e projeção deixam a desejar. Sigo na busca de achar um perfume similar com uma performance relativamente melhor! Nota aroma: 8/10 Nota projeção: 6/10 Nota fixação: 7/10

Amazing for office, I got my bottle just today and I was previously using Dylan blue. Since I switched to a different cologne and its not office appropriate, I needed a daily driver: cheap, long lasting and for office setting. This cologne has a DNA similar to Dylan Blue just a little softer. It has a good top, has decent projection with a little scent bubble. Smells absolutely solid until the 3.5 hour mark on skin. Post 4 hours its completely a skin scent and if someone is close they will definitely pick up on it. for it to completely dry down and disappear on my skin it took 6+ hours (if you have warmer skin you should try spraying it on your clothes from a distance). for this price point I highly recommend it. If you want to venture into different colognes you can invest there and buy this as a backup safe option which could be a no brainer spray to get you through your day. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. If you live in India then Nykaa and Shopper's stop have amazing deals on it. Hope my review was useful have a great day everyone!

Mature? Old fashioned? This? I was going to say the complete opposite. For a dating scent for young men (25 - 30 and below) it's just great. For greater age i'd advice Bentley For Men or such. In the opening it resembles a somewhat blue feel with the grapefruit and pepper combo but later the suede appears and along some touches of amber, the scent becomes somewhat dark and great for dating. Its projection is never particularly heavy or anything like that, always rather intimate, that along the scent makes it a good dating fragrance. The longevity is just OK, better on clothing, goes very well with black clothing and fall - winter climate. Very recommended as an alternative to the Givenchy Gentleman EDT / EDP (Similar to EDT in the leather / lavender / iris kinda feel, but with the amber drydown of the EDP) line but much cheaper. Neither i see it being "extremely versatile" as some say. I would wear this only in winter where i live, mountain zone of Mexico. Blessings.

This is a great fall and winter centric fragrance that is amazing value for the price, specially if you buy the Kit for $25 bucks. The lavender and ambroxan are the star of the show for the first 30 minutes, but then it settles down into a nice and sweet ambery fragrance that it sadly does not retain for very long, the base is quite nice still, but not as good as the mid, the benzoin kicks all the way until the end with the suede note being also subtly present. Longevity is 3-4 hrs for me with projection being good for the first 2, it does last like 6 hours but I don't count those extra 2 cuz projection is barely there. Maybe you can spray this on clothes and have it perform better. 7.5/10

This fragrance reminds me of John Varvatos xx heritage(black bottle) and Diesel only the brave tattoo. It has this tart note in it I don't know how to describe. I will say, the performance here with icon is not good. And it's a lighter scent of those 2 mentioned above as they have better performance and longevity. Would I rebuy? No. I have those 2 I mentioned earlier and they nail this scent better overall. The bottle and atomizer however are very nice but this scent will def need resprays and you gotta respray heavily. You get what you pay for here.

Sharp grapefruit and black pepper open it with a little crisp citrus punch, refreshing, confident. Soon, lavender and suede soften toward a warm vetiver/benzoin dry-down. It hints at that cooler spark at the top before it turns into grown-up suave. You smell clean, modern, and quietly impressive—just don’t expect it to last past a couple of hours without a re‐spray.

There's a hint of Wanted By Night here. I grabbed this only to get a discount on other frags i wanted so i wasn't expecting much. Pleasant surprise. Considering the price tag, the juice is pretty decent and it has some quality in it. You could do way worse for 20 dollars. Don't expect performance though: 4 hours max but it can get to 6 hours if you overspray it.

The scent itself is great but AB fragrances aren't good performers. Unfortunately. Although the deepest and most mature from the Icon lineup, still smells very modern and likeable

It was my first real fragrance, and it can work as a solid daily driver. Its a little basic once your palette gets more refined, but for the value it's a great scent. 7.5/10

Great, the downside it's longevity and projection, kinda weak for an average parfum. 7 out of 10, + points for the price (got 2 for the price of one).

This is EXTREMELY similar to Givenchy Gentleman from 2017

This will be the usless review you will probably read. If Dior Sauvage edp smells similar to this then I'm glad I don't own Sauvage. The Icon has an ok smell, ambroxan, a little sweet lavander from time to time you feel it on your skin, for 15$ is ok if you want this kind of genre. I received a gift set called Rudimental Blu and it smells a lot like this on, it was bought from a supermarket so you can figure how happy I am with this blind buy purchase 😅. I don't really recommend it, I will not buy again, it will get lost in some drawer next to Brut and Crossman.

The first spray instantly reminded me of something I’ve smelled before and knew from then the performance would be below par. But considering how cheap it was I got it anyway. Later after couple of wearing it started to remind me of axe excite the one with the magenta color. It can be a nice car refreshing scent. Or for collage going guys to keep in their bag to freshen up time to time

Perfume rico, algo dulce... En mi piel no dura más de 4 a 6 horas y su proyección es moderada casi pobre... Se notan los toques florales y la pimienta... Buen perfume para uso diario... Solo lo recomiendo para eso pero sobre gustos no hay nada escrito... Quizás en calor no seria lo mejor para usar porque es algo oscura y dulce... Aroma 7/10 Duracion 6/10 Proyección 6/10

I find this fragrance to be very nice! The longevity is average. 5-6 hours on my skin and the projection is around 1 ft for about 1 hour then 6-8 inches off skin. Then to a skin scent. For the price this fragrance is a hidden gem. Just above $20 US. I purchased this as a blind buy. I am very happy with this EDP from AB. Worth it!

From time to time I revisit fragrances I own and wrote a review. I am shocked to see people vote that this fragrance is similar to Dylan Blue, Pure XS and Philipp Plein No limit. I own all of these and this does not smell like them. Philipp Plein?! Really?! Good God!

I used to like this a lot before I got into fragrances, but now this doesnt really do it for me anymore. The black pepper-patchouli-benzoin combo gives off a sweat smell that I dont like. It is at a really good price tho, and it smells good in the air.

Smells amazing. Way more luxurious than its price tag. In contrast, way too airy when you sniff it right after you spray. It is the worst performer of my 25 fragrance collection. The smell is almost non-existent. Shower myself with out of the box bottle, so many sprays; yet still it is barely noticable. Even on clothes it does not linger. There is a super slight projection and sillage but it gets lost in an hour. I will let it macerate and see what is going to happen. I am afraid it is reformulated to death.

It does not have anything to do with The Icon EdT nor with Dior Sauvage EdT. I would say this is the oriental version of the former, IMHO a me-too of some best seller targeted to a young demographic (Invictus, maybe?). The gourmand and woody notes prevail among a sea of ambroxan. Don't look for notes or any other references found in nature, this is a composition that smells like any other aromatic molecule blended in a lab by chemists. Want synthetic? This one won't disappoint.

Nose Note #189 It should be called "Icon Irony", because it's weaker than the OG Icon, despite being labled EDP... After 2 hours it super vaguely reminds of OG and it's almost indistinguishable what the smell was...

I really wanted to like this fragrance, but it is just not doing it for me. At the opening I wasn’t really leaning towards like or dislike, but eventually it just got so bad I had to wash it off. I don’t know if I got a bad batch, but this is just terrible. I think I smell vanilla and maybe some iris, and some other Invictus-like sweetness and spiciness. That seems to be a common theme amongst cheap fragrances, and I very much dislike the original Invictus. This one in particular just doesn’t sit right on me. It dried down into this overly sweet synthetic mess and I could still smell it on my skin after a good 6 hours, and even after I washed it off. I don’t want to compare this fragrance to Invictus because they’re not really similar, but if you like the Invictus dna and that whole candy like sweetness, you may be into this. For the price, it’s worth a shot. I’m not disappointed, and I’ll just gift this to someone who likes it.

I know The Icon is nothing particularly special in the wider world of perfumery, but it holds a meaningful place for me as one of my first perfumes. Because of that, it will always have a certain sentimental value. The scent itself is a very classic, everyday masculine fragrance. It opens fresh and slightly aromatic with grapefruit and green notes, then moves into lavender and sage, giving it a clean, familiar barbershop feel. As it dries down, smooth woods, sandalwood, and soft musk take over, creating a warm and inoffensive finish. Everything here is well balanced and easy to wear. It does not try to stand out, and that is part of its appeal. Performance is moderate and suitable for daily use. Overall, it is a typical male fragrance that works well for everyday wear and, for me, marks the beginning of my interest in perfumes.

The Icon EDP is actually a very nice fragrance. It's basically 50% the genre of Dior Homme Intense or Valentino Uomo Intense. The other 50% is a fruity, tart shower-gel, along the lines of Sauvage EDP and The Boss: The Scent. I was a little concerned after purchasing that having both The Icon EDP and Valentino Uomo Intense would be redundant, but I tested them side by side and happy to see they're quite different. Again, Valetino Uomo Intense is deep, chocolately, waxy, whilst The Icon has a more shower-gel, fruity and fresh feel. Not redundant and both fragrances great. Sprayer puts out a lot of juice, performance is OK.

Just tried this in a shop. Unlike the original 'Icon EDT' fragrance which is in a blue bottle, this EDP intense version, in a black bottle, definitely isn't a copy of Sauvage EDT or EDP. This is a sweet, powdery scent without the Sauvage DNA at all as far as I can smell. I'm not sure what other fragrance it's taking inspiration from, but the closest thing I get for now is almost a soft, powdery 'Prada L'homme' type DNA, although I wouldn't even say it's a copy of Prada. If anyone else tests this, remember it's the EDP intense version, not the original version, then see if you can find out more about it.

This one comes across like a more wearable blend of Givenchy Gentleman EDP and the pre-reformulated Armani Code EDT. Performance will vary by wearer, but for me personally: • Longevity: 6–8 hours on skin, around 9 hours on clothes • Projection: About 1 hour of solid, average projection For the price, this is the best-performing fragrance in the Antonio Banderas ICON line, hands down. You get your nose on this one you might find yourself getting a backup bottle. Enjoy.

Just received it and I'm glad I bought it remember ppl this is an EDP so it will stay closer to your skin it will not project like an edt! Ppl stop crapping on A B fragrances at least his consistent and this is a beauty to me is more for a mature young man/older gentleman this us lovely 😍 for the price a 100ml ita a no brainer! Cop it while you can ✌🏽❤️🙏🏽

This is one of the best fragrances from this house. The combination between the grapefruit note and the creaminess of the fragrance makes this EDP a must! The longevity is moderate with a good projection the first 30-60 minutes.

Antonio Banderas never disappoints this smells really good. You can use it almost year round. non offensive Very pleasant. But you have smelled it before really similar to coach for men. Nonetheless very nice fragrance.

Icon ELIXIR is now available .... A very successful copy of Invictus Platinum, nice performance. The opening and the beginning is not very pleasant on the nose but then it starts to get quite nice

Well thanks of GOD they eliminated the awful Sage Note, but still being boring, but warmer as a nice shade of the scent, but not my type, so mature or old fashioned as the original

Very good fragrance awesome sprayer and it has similarities to coach for men with a hint of Invictus floating around in there.

Just got a bottle. IDK what all the hype is about. It’s weak and the EDT is better🤷♂️
