The Secret Temptation

The immediate first impression I got from Secret Temptation is a cross between the fizzy vanillic sweetness of Calvin Klein Obsessed and the fruity warmth of Baldessarini Ambre. Loads of sweetened ISO-e and a lightly fruity pink peppercorn dominate this one from start to finish. There is a distinct and lasting sweetness to Secret Temptation offset by a very slight bitter, herbaceous accord - though not offset enough in my opinion. In this regard, I think ST would easily qualify as unisex, though leaning ever so gently in the masculine direction. Secret Temptation is very pleasant and wearable, and actually performs well in terms of both longevity and sillage. Worthy of a bottle buy at this cost IMHO. I think ST is perfectly suited for layering with any sort of leather/woodsy fragrance that you might find too dry and in need of just a pinch of vanillic sweetness. To date, I've had great success layering either with the dry woodsy Bentley Absolute or something incense heavy like Casbah or Cardinal. It's like adding just a dash of sugar to enhance (and extend) what is already there.

I just got a bottle of Zadig and Voltaire's Just Rock and because of the obvious intersection of notes, I felt compelled to add to my previous comments on Secret Temptation in light of this new discovery... Secret Temptation is warm, woodsy in an ISO-e, sparkling kind of way, lightly sweet and joyously vanillic, all without being overly cloying. Pink peppercorn dominates from the opening and brings brightness and a soft not-so-fruity-fruitiness that I really appreciate. Truly wonderful stuff for the stupendously low price tag. Literally one of the very best value to price fragrances out there, IMO. What about Just Rock? I'll tell you. Take away the pink peppercorn of Secret Temptation and add a deeper vanilla with amber and a dry sandalwood-like accord, and you get Just Rock. They feel related - as though this could be your daytime dumb reach, while Just Rock is that date night secret weapon in your fragrance arsenal. They also layer amazingly. If you like one, you will more than likely enjoy the other.

Eu amo esse perfume, comprei ele logo antes de conhecer minha mulher. Meu grande problema com ele é a fixação, pois a projeção dele é boa e seu cheiro é incrível, um dos mais harmoniosos e vivos que senti em um perfume, porém ele some em questão de 3 a 4 horas, e se você quer algum tempo maior deve exagerar mais nas borrifadas. talvez eu tenha utilizado ele em um clima errado? talvez. De todo modo, tenho tudo o que agradecer este perfume, ele foi o meu primeiro perfume comprado, tenho boas memórias com ele devido a eu ter utilizado ele no começo de meu relacionamento de amizade ao namoro com minha mulher, e me abriu as portas para querer ter e utilizar outras fragrâncias. Tenho ainda meu primeiro frasco, mesmo que em pouca quantidade hoje em dia, e compraria um perfume com o exato mesmo cheiro se houvesse uma versão mais potente. Um ótimo e memorável perfume, certamente comprarei um outro frasco futuramente, mesmo que para utilização casual, ou ao lado da mulher que tanto amo.

its a sweet surprize from AB, I liked the bottle a lot , coz red i my favorite color, so i tried it one day. i recall it similar to the vibes of hot water by davidoff and also givenchy xeryus rouge, but i tried it few more times, i felt there is a spicy and cardamom popping, and i was gonna buy a 200ml of it, sadly 200ml was sold out, and I ended up buying the 100ml. very nice fragrance, for the price you actually a very good quality frag, after blue and black seduction, i am digging this. good for evening time. lil bit boozy red cocktail/shots vibe. with vanilla and pink pepper. lasts 4/5 hours on me, not a beast but good projection for 2 hours. the best so far in this line. will review it soon on channel. no review in English 8.5/10

On my skin this is a spicy leathery scent slightly sweet, delicious and sensual.Top notes, especially cardamom, remain strong thoroughout, seconded by vetiver that gives the perfume a leathery background, like a touch of velvet, vanilla, that gives a light sweetness and musk that keeps the scent from becoming too weighty, unusable.Longevity is 7/8 hours but sillage is light, this is an office appropriate perfume as well as a suitable scent for romantic dates. And cheap, a really good perfume, the best of the line.

i really enjoy this frag. absolutely buy worthy for its price. in fact i m not a fan of vanilla especially sweet ones but i like this woody kinda minty - maybe the basil - vanilla . i can smell on my sweater almost 3 days after . longetivity is satisfying i think

I gave it a try at the shop almost with no interest. Such a nice surprise! Smooth, a little sweet, a little fresh, a little warm / spicy, all at the same time. Very pleasant, good price. I took a bottle home. No regrets about it.

This cologne is very unique and it's fragrance is very familiar to me it smells more like spice bomb but I think you can rock this in the summer and winter very versatile I recommend this as a spray and go scenario.

Seems like the Banderas perfumers are getting better and better and I must admit this stuff is really good.....The scent is an 8.0 strength and Longevity is a 7.0....A very complex nice smelling potpourri of Aromas

A copy or Byredo Super Cedar or Penhaligons Juniper Sling. A mix of woody molecules ambroxan, ISO, something rosy abd a bit of tonka. A nice thing for its price for those who like molecular abstract fragrances.

Another standout juice of AB besides Spirit for men. Its unique scent lasted like all day long on my skin. The base note was kind of "bittersweet" on me, but the opening and the mid was just perfect.

It's amazing how Antonio Banderas was able to produce this amazing juice, it's a real seed of pleasure that Antonio gave Us, he poured a piece of Himself into these vials. fabulous

In 2010, a new pillar of fragrances was released with The Secret, which only received a female version two years later. Over time, new versions were emerging: Golden, Game and Night. Now, a new fragrance pair arrives, opening a new chapter in the history of Banderas secrets: The Secret Temptation and Her Secret Temptation (for women). And the novelty also happened on the outside: the bottles are new, different from the other versions. In the case of the male version, the bottle has rounded corners and curved back, more ergonomic. The metal plate, previously vertical and covering the entire body of the bottle, is now horizontal and centered. And the cover, previously rectangular, became cylindrical. The fragrance is woody-aromatic and full of contrasts. It has notes of bergamot, elemi resin, pepper and green cardamom, on top. Then, basil, artemisia and jasmine form the body, towards the base of vetiver, cedar, musk and a touch of vanilla. Amid the latest releases I have known, I must say that The Secret Temptation has brought a necessary innovation, which makes me believe that there is still much to be invented, away from the current trends. The output is aromatic and sensual, thanks to the warm content of the elemi resin and the spicy smell of the cardamom. The heart is of a fantastic contrast: it pulsates green and bitter, then it pulsates aromatic and sweet. I confess that I expected more of the jasmine, but then I realized that the note was used in the right measure, because it was not meant to be a floral fragrance, but green. Finally, the base gains a weight of woods and the vetiver is the most present note, at least on my skin. There is no reason to be frightened by the vanilla in the composition. It is like if it didn’t even exist, appearing only after a few hours, which gives more prominence to the musk. The Secret Temptation is spicy on the tape and creamier on the skin. If I did not know where it came from, based solely on style, I would have thought it was made by Gucci. To conclude, it is important to say that the fragrance continues exuding, but only to the person who wears it. It does not have good projection and, therefore, leaves no trace. However, the lasting is very good for the type (and cost) of fragrance. In one of the tests, I applied at night (after shower) and the smell was still present on my arms the next day, remaining for over 12 hours. Under normal conditions of use, perspiration, etc. it managed to stay for eight hours on my skin. Ratifying, a pleasant surprise for its price.

When it comes to Antonio Banderas The Secret Temptation, it is a unique scent. I'm not sure if it is or isn't a clone even if it is likely one due to the typical nature of the house, but it is very unique to the scents I have smelt. It is a very herbal yet spicy-sweet scent, and a strong one at that. With Secret Temptation I get the closest comparison to another scent in the open, that being Ed Hardy Born Wild with a pink pepper and cardamon heavy spicy/sweet ying-yang but it differs through a resinous herbal smell from the elemi. This would lead to a further herbal and slight booze mid powered by artemisia. in the base, I get some woods (ambroxan/ISO-E super?), a little musk but mostly vanilla. Of the three The Secret line I own (The Secret, The Golden Secret and The Secret Temptation); The Secret Temptation is the most seductive and date night ready. It isn't loud enough to be a club scent like The Golden Secret and the scent that influenced the original The Secret (and to an extent The Golden Secret), 1 Million. However, that isn't a bad thing at all since that profile is a little too cliche at this point. With The Secret Temptation, I get really good performance. While the scent only offers moderate sillage, I can get wiffs of The Secret Temptation over just about its duration. The Secret Temptation lasts about nine on my skin. It is a night-time scent for winter and fall. Antonio Banderas The Secret Temptation is a scent I rate at a 7.6 out of 10. This is a really good scent that is unique but I don't really know if it is one that lady's love like the rest of The Secret's line. It is so different that maybe it is a gift and a curse at the same time.

This is one that I purchased, along with Power of Seduction, as from what I've read, these two are the best releases from AB Fragrances the last few years. While I am a definite fan of PoS, this one I'm still on the fence with. Is it quality? Definitely. AB and Puig have released some bangers in that department for the price. The smell itself on my skin is predominantly a soft, but sweet vanilla, maybe a bit of florals, on top of vetiver. Though I will say, this sits REALLY close to the skin. It does last quite a while (6ish hours) but if sprayed on my wrist I have to press my nose up to it to get a whiff. Maybe it's olfactory fatigue, but this is just my experience. This does smell really good. But to me it's just too soft, and as for occasion, I'm struggling to find a fit for it. Not the most versatile scent imo. It leans more towards a formal scent to my nose. Maybe others have some recommendations? For the quality and scent I'd give this an 9/10, especially at this price point. It's a steal. BUT since it doesn't seem very versatile and I'm having trouble on where to include it in the rotation, my overall rating is a 7/10.

I got this one, Black Seduction and The Golden Secret recently on sale. Out of the 3 i have to say that this one is probably my least favorite. It is not bad and performance is ok. But there is something about this fragrance that is putting me off. It smells cheap (i mean it is cheap but other two are just better picks imo.) Opening is spicy i can smell the pepper and bergamot and cardamom. I can also smell some vanilla but sadly very, very late in the drydown. Overall not bad but not my favorite. Edit: Had to update my review and say that i am actually enjoying the drydown of this a lot and i like it more than i first thought. Also of the 3, this one has the best performance by far. Just spray it on clothes, it will stay there for days!

Alot of wood and herbs. Before the dry down, it can almost come off very mentholy or like eucalyptus ... I don't like the opening, but the dry down is nice. I can BARELY pick up the vanilla until the far far dry down. After about 15 minutes the scent warms up and smooths out, so that menthol edge disappears. Then the basil note comes through and mixes with the woods, elemi, cardamom, musk, and pink pepper to make a very pleasant spicy, woody scent.

Starts off a bit synthetic, but it soothes down to an aromatic spicy woody scent, that if it wasn’t for its poor performance would be niche like. For me, it is really a unique scent, it’s nothing like I’ve smelled before, it’s masculine, seductive and sexy, perfect for date nights and cold weather days. For the price, you simply can’t go wrong with this one. Fantastic scent, the house of Antonio Banderas continues to be an underrated perfume house.

I like this fragrance. Bought it after seeing good reviews and appreciating the price. Nice spice and aromatic qualities. I agree with an earlier review that it resembles Zadig and Voltaire This is Him. But the latter is definitely better and more long lived. I wear both as a female customer. This is him probably more traditionally masculine than this one but they’re both good enough that i refuse to be left out.

I bought it after testing it in the airport duty free. Tester was dense & strong The actual bottle performance was like 10% compared to the tester, means if the tester lasts for 5 hours, the purchased bottle lasts 30 minutes only. The smell is good but i’m very disappointed of its performance, luckily I’ve started to use it during covid epidemic as hand sanitizer as we fell short of alcohol & sanitizing products.

Powerful stuff but it is somehow too weird for my taste. Cardamom, vanilla and elemi are dominant. Perhaps notes are very synthetic or there is just too much cardamom that makes it bitter. And I wouldn't say it is masculine - rather feminine. Edit: Unexpectedly I have started to like it. Maybe because sometimes cardamom is not so dominant and then the smell is just great!

I find it spicy and sweet. Pink pepper and cinnamon or vanilla are the main notes. Better suited for chill weather, but not cold weather. If you are tired of wearing blue fragrances but don't want something overly sweet, this is a great choice. Longevity is not great but is ok for the price.

Just finished my bottle from 2019. It's a pleasant citric, incensey elemi, rounded out with cardamom / over a bed of vetiver and dry woods. Hints of basil as well. Maybe the best Banderas fragrance.

To me this perfume is more on the niche side than any other released. I smell Nishane Ani DNA on this, I think it's a great alternative to a much more expensive perfume.

I am a Big Fan of Antonio Banderas fragrance because of its natural smelling ingredient & good price/oz. So far I'd own • Blue Seduction for Men • Blue Seduction for Women • King of Seduction • Seduction in Black • Seduction Absolute Naturally, when I came across 200ml of Secret Temptation for cheap, I have to buy it. My initial impression is MEH, I like it, but I don't ♥ it like I do with other AB fragrances. ******************************************* 95% Similar to Jaguar Classic Amber ******************************************* AB Secret Temptation is like the upgraded version of Jaguar Classic Amber with better ingredient. It smell more natural (less chemically aggressive) without Jaguar's synthetic opening. That means you can enjoy the fragrance immediately upon spray to the end of its journey. But overall, both do smell very similar to one another. If you own Jaguar Classic Amber, then there is no point buying this. How is how they are similar: Jaguar Amber OPEN with heavy dose of Pink Pepper Secret Tempt OPEN with heavy dose of Pink Pepper + Elemi + Cardamon for Spice Jaguar Amber MID with Elemi + Cinnamon for Spice Secret Tempt MID are very weak, I don't smell any Basil, Artemisia, nor Jasmine listed here Jaguar Amber END with Vetiver + Vanilla dry down Secret Tempt END with Vetiver + Vanilla dry down As the result, they are nearly a dupe of one another with AB smelling better and Jaguar lasting slightly longer on my skin. ****************************************************** Dry Earthy Vetiver MURDER vanilla sweetness ****************************************************** With the name "secret temptation", one would expect an heavy doze of sweet seductive vanilla. I don't hate it, i don't love it, it is just Meh....

2019 batch Profile - Spicy herbal citrus with synthetic vanilla and woods. Description - Purchased a 30ml as an everyday carry due to the tube shaped bottle ( basing on the hype and similarity it had gotten). Wasn't particularly in love to begin with, but ended up buying one anyway. After a few days of wearing, I quickly outgrew and wasnt reaching out to it anymore. The scent is quite cloying due to the pepper( after 10 seconds of noticeable citrus) and the vanilla isn't a smooth note as we usually expect. It turned out to be a weird smelling fragrance where you cant really point out whats particularly wrong with it. Usage & longevity - Cold to mildly hot days or in air conditioning. Causal/dress occassions. Its best to not spray around the neck area as the fragrance is strong and spicy enough to make you smell nothing else around you. 3-4 sprays max, but poor longevity of about 2-3 hours while overspraying kills your senses Suited for - Really is a confusing fragrance. Doesn't suit any age in particular. Extremely affordable fragrance if you like the scent profile. Could be a decent starter into the fragrance world. Reminds me of - haven't really smelled anything thats similar to this ( wouldn't call ot unique either). Rather I wouldn't reach out to the fragrances which are similar to this. Rating - 3.5/10, too much to handle, synthetic smelling.

Oh, this is really bad. And by that I mean really really bad. There's a lot of vetiver. That's not in itself a bad thing at all. But then there is a truck load full of pink pepper, which is way too much. Those two combined is dynamite. Dynamite in a very bad way. It's so edgy and sharp, it makes CDNIM feel like a gentle creamy butter kind of scent. I can't sence any other of the listed scents, cause the lethal combo just killed my nose to death. But the performance is stellar! Of course! The shit is screaming to my neighbourhood: I'm here! And I'm gonna stay the night, the day after that and a few days into october. How come that never happens wiht the good ones? If you didn't get the subtle message above: It's a NO.

I yet have to find an Antorio Banderas perfume that I can enjoy. I really wanted to like them, as I'm currently chasing affordable fragrances. I tried maybe eight of them. And all seem to share some ingredient that smells horribly synthetic on my skin. On a similar price range, I find Zara perfumes to be of better quality. Or at least they work much better on my skin.

Either I had a fake batch or something else went totally wrong, ́cause this juice is absolutely boring and lasts like 20 minutes before it ́s gone. Furthermore - in those 20 minutes my wife said to me twice, that "that ́s a absolute no go!" This morning i threw it in the can - dissapointed!

Immediately this reminded me of being in the same bucket as Contradiction Calvin Klein, in how it's vetiver forward. However where that goes aromatic/citrus, this goes vanilla. Simply put this is vetiver layered on vanilla and it makes for an attractive and somewhat "different" combo. I say that because I don't sense anything else significantly interfering with this vetiver/vanilla scent bubble. This feels more so for guys 40+ in age, it's just mature due to the vetiver - but not overly 'manly' like lots of vetivers due to the vanilla. Does not smell cheap in the dry down, however I have no idea how long this will last. It's office safe, you can wear it after work - yet it is 'different' - there are simply not a lot of bottles out there like this. I have middle east cheapie/clone fatigue and this does not smell like middle east clones at all in an way.

I think I bought a fake because it lasts like 5 minutes on me (skin and clothes). All I know is it's one of 3 possibilities why these fragrance is like water and alcohol with a tiny hint of something fruity and vanilla that lasts 5 minutes. I've come to the conclusion either... 1. I'm nose blind to the notes 2. It's a fake cologne. After all, I did buy on ebay. Although a seller with 99% positive rating and 10,000+ sales. 3. It's just one damn weak fragrance. Or I got a bad batch. Yes, that does happen, although rarely. Poor quality control maybe, I don't like giving negative reviews. However, if others have the same problem they'll know they are not alone. I'm returning it to the ebay seller. It was only $21 but hey, I don't like wasting my hard earned money.

Having bought the AB Blue Seduction, being amazed by its opening yet disappointed by its mediocre performance, I bought myself once again into AB Secret Tempation with very thin hopes. But boy was I wrong! This is a beast! I cannot speak for anyone other that myself, I don't know how many people notice the scent on me, the sillage, but I smell it every-time, all the time atleast 8+ hours straight! All that for $25 is more than a steal! P.S Don't mind the bad reviews, those are the unlucky blokes. If you're into spicy scents i.e Pink Pepper, simply take a plunge into this. You will not regret!

I liked it when I smelt it on a test strip at the shop. I later purchased a 30ml sample of it. And was I lucky or what! I hate it. Its smell is sickeningly sweet. I gives me a headache. Don't do a blind purchase of this perfume. Apply it in the shop and let it rest on you for a while before you take the decision to buy it.

Quite enjoyable -- i smell vetiver, nutmeg and cedar, compositionally similar to the now discontinued Visit by Azzaro. Slightly sweet but not overly so. A good choice if you want something discrete but not totally boring.

You must first try this fragrance then buy it, it has really good performance for the price and in my opinion has an insane unique smell. I love this fragrance. 10/10 for me
